    Chicken salad sandwich
    Carlie M.

Great spot to grab a sandwich. It's a super casual spot with some really tasty sandwich options. I got the chicken salad sandwich and it was super yummy. We also got the pastrami sandwich and it was incredible. Would recommend for lunch or a casual dinner!

We were out and about on a Sunday a few weeks ago. First stop was lunch at The Po Boy Shop (see my review). We're heading down Ponce and decided to stop for a beer or two. I love the decor and the vibe. It's a very small space but what they've done makes it feel bigger. We didn't eat but everyone's food looked delicious. There were people at different tables playing games. Like i said a good vibe. We will be back for the food soon.

Motorboat has a cute and cozy theme. Even though the inside suggest more of a seafood menu, there really isn't any seafood. The decor screams shrimp baskets, feels like more of a deli menu. I was craving a muffuletta, and this place had them. The sandwich is big enough to split between two people. We sat at the bar and the food came pretty fast. We also got the reuben which we preferred out of the two sandwiches. It was pretty dead when we went on a Thursday around 7. Bottom line, pretty casual menu and spot. Decent atmosphere, worth going for a visit especially with their unique menu. I think anyone could find something they would like.

    Chicken salad sandwich with tots

My husband and I have been to Motorboat three times in the last month. Can you tell we like lunchtime sandwiches? I first had the chicken salad sandwich with tots. It was delicious and probably the best chicken salad sandwich I've ever eaten! We sat at the bar and watched the ever-changing, binge-able TV show playing there. The second time we came, I had the Chicago beef sandwich. I didn't like this sandwich, and I think the chef made me the roast beef sandwich as it didn't have the au jus and looked the same as another person's sandwich at the end of the bar who had ordered the roast beef. My sandwich was too salty, and the cheese was not melted either. However, we persevered and came back a 3rd time for the meal I've most coveted since seeing their menu - the African Nut Stew. It's a play on the Ghanaian classic chicken and peanut butter stew. The stew was warm and enveloping, like a hug from a relative you haven't seen in years. The peanuts were crunchy, and the smell was delicious. It came with some breadsticks so you didn't miss broth at the bowl's bottom. On top of their sandwiches, Motorboat makes delicious cookies and serves reasonably priced beers. We will, of course, be back!

Salad with house made dressing, loaded tots, meatloaf special

We just moved to O4W and walked here for an early dinner. The guy behind the bar is an absolute gem and despite it being a bit busy, kept everything going. They have lots of sandwich options but also really great non bar food you aren't expecting like African peanut soup and spaghetti. We'll definitely be back. We had the loaded tots and my husband had the meatloaf special. The burgers coming out of the kitchen also looked really good. A great spot for some drinks and bite.

New favorite sandwich spot in town. Plenty of sandwich styles to choose from. I tried the fish sandwich and the portion sizes was huge. Will definitely come back. Nice neighborhood vibe and ample parking up front.

Hi guys! This place is so cute. Saw it a couple weeks ago and was finally able to pop in and check it out. I believe it is fairly new so they had an updated menu, I ordered a tuna melt and sloppy Joe. Both Sandwiches were so delicious, prices were also great for what you receive. I definitely will be back to try their other dishes. Service was great for the short time I stayed in the establishment. They have some games to play and their bat area is nicely decorated. 5/5 stars :) I recommend this place.

    Pastrami on rye

So pleased to try this place! I just really wanted a good sandwich to go so I ducked in! The place has a really great vibe, the staff was awesome. Had a pastrami on rye. Great sandwich! Good pastrami, good bread, good mustard. Came with chips on a little pile of pickles. Even the pickles were great. Definitely going to be making stops here in the future to try other items

The food was exceptional, everything we ordered was delicious, and there wasn't a single dish that disappointed. The covered patio is beautiful and much quieter than the rest of the restaurant. This is a fusion spot with mostly Spanish and Latin American influences. The food isn't the best you've ever had, but it's decent and the restaurant's neighborhood is cute and fun. It's a great place to hang out for the day, and Bar.bacoa is a good choice if you have 3 people or less in your party. The group size is about maximizing the value you get here. The portion sizes are small for tapas. The paella was $24 but would be hard-pressed to feed just two people. The ham and cheese empanadas were $12 and came with two empanadas. These rates aren't bad for tapas if your group is small, but any group larger than 3 is going to start losing on the value-to-price ratio. When it comes to the tacos, they're $6 each for tacos that are not new or outstanding, so I would lean on the tapas instead.

My group of 4 and I came in around 9:05pm for our reservation at 9:00pm and were told our table wasn't ready. We went to grab a drink at the bar but ended up unfortunately waiting about an hour to be completely sat (about 10:10pm). The location was VERY busy, almost difficult to walk through with the amount of people standing around waiting to get sat, but just wish it would have been a quicker turnaround time, especially with the reservation being booked. Now onto the good! Our server and server assistant Mitch were both lovely. Mitch came by frequently to take our order and check up on us. The food and drinks were INCREDIBLE! We got the some tapas, including potatoes, croquettes, empanadas, tomatoes and meatballs and everything was top tier. Quite an affordable night out if you end up sharing a bunch of dishes. The white sangria was also amazing. Very floral but in a not over powering way. We ended up choosing street parking a street down and were able to walk right to the restaurant with no issues. Would definitely love to give this place another try as it seems very promising but maybe on a less busy night.

I hope I get the parking situation right but she directed me to a lot, that you pay via either an app or website. She took care of it so I'm not sure. Just be sure to pay because she mentioned that enforcement is serious out there. Walk down to the beltline and you should be able to find it. If not, GPS it. There's indoor and outdoor seating. Tables and seating at the bar. We chose a table opposite the bar and had a great tapas dinner. Picanha a la Parrilla Pulpo a la Gallega Tomate Fresco Patatas Bravas Tuna Crudo Bruselas Enjoyed the tapas. I didn't list them in any particular order but I will say I liked the Tomate the least. The rest, I'd order again or eat on a return visit and if the table ordered it. I'd pass on the Tomate. I guess I was looking for stronger seasoning or more flavor. Service was hit and miss. Friendly and nice but either was intentionally leaving us alone to talk because he did swing by a few times before we placed our order - because we were catching up. A few times I had to ask other servers for help, including asking to close out the tab when it was time to head out. There were other items on the menu I would have loved to try if I had more room so it'll have to be on my next visit. I know there are a few locations in the Atlanta area but I did like the the feel and vibe of the beltline area too - enough to go right back.

This one is new and it's off the belt line and it's in a really good spot though. That's the selling point of it all. As you know if you're coming on the Beltline, you gotta worry about parking so you can kinda get it how you like it. There are plenty of spots to go to if you want to go ahead and do a lot or find some neighborhood parking . With this new Eclipse you can sit inside and check out the views or you can sit outside and just sit under the fans and people-watch. That could probably be the best option just because you're right on the belt line so you get a good view of everything but if it's too hot then that's going to be an issue lol . We just went for drinks just to stop off before we went elsewhere along the Beltline because everything is very walkable. It's easy to go ahead and duck in and off of the Beltline so this will be a good spot but I've been to eclipse plenty of times elsewhere and I know that the food is solid no matter what you're doing. I can't say that I would go back there to eat because I've already eaten there and I know what I like and I know what to expect but if you haven't been the food is actually really good. I started off with a spicy margarita. It got me where I needed to be. That's the important part LOL. Service was really good. It was really crowded when we went and we were just trying to catch a vibe before we started off the Beltline. They made a space for us at the sitting area, right where the door was, so we can actually be indoors and still see outdoors. That was really nice of them. Service was great. Can't complain about that. This looks like a smaller one but at the same time it's still built into the belt line so it actually wins because of location. Other ones have larger dance floors that you can dance at, I guess, so it's a different story. This one still has its own charm. Overall it is what you expect from an eclipse so it's not like I'm telling you anything that you don't know because I'm assuming you've been to at least one of them before. This one is the newest one and it is in a perfect area so if you are ducking in and off of the belt line, this would be a good spot to go ahead and grab some papas bravas and a margarita.

The Christmas pop-up just began and we were there right soon after they opened their doors ob Tuesday night. If going here doesn't get you in the Christmas festivities mood I don't know what will. Lights, decorations, artwork, Christmas movies on their big screen, Christmas music on their speakers all contribute to a fun, lively environment. And, of course, there is also a Christmas-themed drink and tapas menu. Drinks are served in various Christmas glasses and mugs, all of which you can buy to take home if you'd like. They also have a seasonal line-up of craft beer. My wife had a Christmapolitan and I had the Yippie Ki Yay, both were delicious and packed a punch. For food we ordered: Donner & Blitzen (charcuterie board) - simple, yet great tasting meats & veggies Frosty Fries (fries w/warm beer cheese) - even though this was a good amount of fries, we had wished that we ordered two of these because they were that incredibly tasty. Let that sink in: a cashier holding up the line and refusing to ring up a customer for no legitimate reason until a manager had to intervene. If the owners care to review their camera footage from that time, they'll see the entire interaction. At no point was I rude, disruptive, or inappropriate.
