I had the lamb Seekh kebab roll from Botiwalla and I quite enjoyed it! I definitely liked how the lamb tasted. Initially, I thought the roll was pricey for $16, but after eating it, it wasn't as small as it originally looked.

Desi Salad- Paneer Tikka

Came here for dinner a couple weeks ago. We ordered takeout. We got the chicken tikka roll and the desi salad with paneer. Both so flavorful! Great option to try when in ponce.

AMAZING! That's how I would describe the food we had at this restaurant in Ponce City Market. We ordered: -Masala Smashed Potatoes - Delicious, soft inside with crisp skin, and seasoned perfectly. -Paneer Tikka Roll - Great flavor, the paneer was soft, the vegetables were grilled well, the wrap was light, and everything came together beautifully. -Chicken Tikka Roll - Flavorful, juicy chicken grilled to perfection. The food is freshly grilled and made to order. The ambience is great, and the service was quick. Portions are filling, and the prices are very reasonable.

This has easily become one of my favorite spots! While my niece was visiting we stopped by Ponce City Market. When she saw that we had a Botiwalla she was immediately sold on eating here! I am so glad she suggested this spot! Home for her is Charlotte, NC and she mentioned they have a location there! How it works? You order your food at the entrance of the restaurant! Warning- they often have a line - yes it's that good !! After placing your order you are either given a number to place on your table if dining in, or just verbally given a number to wait on your to go order. I have been here at least 4 times within the last 2 months! The Crispy Masala Fish Roll is what keeps me coming back! The description from the website is as follows: Crispy wild caught Alaskan cod seasoned with cumin, lime, chilli powder, ginger, garlic. Wrapped in hot buttered naan with Desi slaw, onion, cilantro, green chutney & Maggi ketchup. (fish, milk, eggs, sesame, wheat)!! It always leaves me wanting more ! I have also tired the chai tea and cookies - I appreciate that the taste is light on both the tea and cookies. Other items I have tried are the Masala Smashed Potatoes and the veggie skewer. There is also another potato appetizer that I can't recall the name of. Everything I have tried has been a love for me ! In addition to great tasting food, the service has always been good ! This place is just a vibe and I highly recommend checking it out !

Lamb burger (4.25/5)

I got the lamb burgers, which were pretty good (4.25/5) but on the smaller side, but they were still a reasonable value for $14, especially compared to some of the other places in Ponce market. The service was relatively fast (10-15 minutes), despite it being pretty busy.

I am from out of town and had never eaten at Botiwalla. I took a friend who wanted to have Indian food. We ordered the Chicken Tikka Wrap and chai! We both loved the wrap - it was tasty and a smidge spicy! Just enough without being overpowering. The chutney in it was delish! We finished it off with chai and Parle G biscuits. I'm a chai connoisseur so I was hoping that it was gonna be the real deal and it was! Milky and loved the cardamom flavor. I would totally go again when I come back to ATL.

Malai Chicken Skewer and Naan

Quite a solid place for an Indian place. We took the #2 bus from the North Ave Train Station and walk a block. We tried the Malai Chicken, roti and the rice bowl. The cilantro chutney hit the spot. It was order on the spot, get your own water and bus your own trash. It's a great quick bite at the Ponce City Market. Love all the different decor from each vendor. A great experience in Atlanta!

In a city with so much good food, this was my favorite food spot we tried! My friends and I shared the SPDP and the flavor was very addictive. I also got the lamb seekh kebab roll which was really good as well! It goes so well with the rata that they give you. I spilled the raita on myself on accident but they gave me another one for free. The art logo for this place is also super cool too I love it. Also don't forget the mango lassi!

naan and lamb!

I was walking up & down Ponce City Market trying to decide what to get to eat and I am glad I landed on some Indian Food from Botiwalla. The lamb, naan and mango lassi did it for me. The staff was friendly and inviting. The people eating within the restaurant were sociable. Eating at Botiwalla felt warm both physically & emotionally!

Delicious Indian Flavors at Ponce City Market! I tried this restaurant for the first time, and I'm absolutely in love with the flavors! The food was incredibly delicious--definitely a must-try for anyone craving authentic Indian cuisine in Ponce City Market, Atlanta. Although the line was quite long, it was completely worth the wait. The food had the perfect consistency and texture, and the flavors were spot on. I had the paneer tikka Roll, and it truly transported me back to India--so authentic and satisfying! My husband and daughter really enjoyed the chicken wings and the chicken tikka masala roll. Everything we ordered was full of flavor, perfectly spiced, and cooked to perfection. Looking forward to coming back and trying even more dishes next time I'm in town.

Rice Bowl- Chicken Tikka

Extremely average experience here today. Service was incredibly slow, probably a 25 minute line for 6 people?! The line was out the door and kept building. My family had finished their meals from other vendors by the time I brought mine to the table. Had the new Chicken Tikka Rice Bowl. It was fine, but don't expect it to taste of anything more than plain chicken on basmati rice. No sauce or flavor to the chicken, but at least it was cooked well. Super disappointed because Chai Pani is one of my favorites in the area, but won't return here.

The line was out the door so I'd figure I'd stop by line and see what this place had to offer. I ordered a chicken tikka wrap and a mango lassi. The service was fast from ordering to getting my food delivered to my table. Would I come back? Eh. Should you give it a try. Yes, it wasn't horrible. The chicken tikka wrap was freshly made with a good amount of fresh veggies inside. For Indian food it lacked flavor which I was shocked by because their food NEVER lacks flavor. The flavor of the chicken didn't pack a powerful punch, it was a little bland but good enough for me to chow down. The mango lassi, was sweet but I like them with a little bit of tartness and this lacked that, but I drank it anyway. They have a decent size menu so come and try something out for yourself. I like how the cup and straw were compostable, so one star for thinking the environment.

Ponce City market is not only the best food hall in the country, I also consider it to be one of my happy places. I've tried pretty much everything it has to offer but for some reason, the one place I've heard so much about has also managed to escape me....Botiwalla....until now! Botiwalla is Indian street food. Simple concept, big flavors! The menu features mostly Rolls, bowls, and a host of drinks to choose from. I never say no to crispy potatoes! Botiwalla serves Crispy fingerling potatoes tossed with chaat masala, lime, & cilantro. Served with sweet and spicy Maggi ketchup. I love me some sodium, almost to a fault....but this seasoning right here is a salt bomb! That ketchup is an absolute necessity to counter balance! Decent crispy potatoes, but unfortunately not as good as advertised. Chicken tikka roll: chicken marinated in yogurt, lime, Kashmiri chilli paste, & tandoori spices. Served with desi slaw, onion, cilantro, & green chutney all wrapped in naan. The good.... This is certainly not short on flavor! The slaw is a refreshing touch. Not so good....The wrap itself would be easier to enjoy if the chicken was chopped to about half the size. Chicken this size absolutely needs to be tender, and this was not. The naan was also over toasted, resulting in a tougher rather than soft naan experience. Still a good roll overall. Ponce city is so diverse in its offerings! Although I'll admit I have had more enjoyable dining experiences within these walls, there is definitely a place for Botiwalla. I am happy to tick it off the Ponce bucketlist.

The owner, an older woman who clearly missed the day they taught hospitality, was shockingly rude from the moment I walked in. No greeting, no smile, not even basic acknowledgment--just attitude thick enough to slice with a knife. When I politely asked a question about the menu, she acted like I'd personally ruined her entire day. Eye rolls, dismissive comments, the whole package. The food might have been decent, but honestly, who can enjoy a meal when you're being treated like an inconvenience? The energy in the room matched her behavior--cold, tense, and completely unwelcoming. There are too many amazing Indian restaurants out there with staff who actually want you to be there. Save your money, your mood, and your appetite. This one isn't worth the stress.

Right from the start, we received a very warm welcome from the staff. We chose to sit indoors, although they also offer outdoor seating. To start, we tried their Tikki Margarita and a smoked cocktail. The Margarita was sweet but quite strong--definitely worth the money. We tried their "Rupee beer", which is a light larger and it was very hydrating. For appetizers, we highly recommend the lamb kebab, which comes in a portion of four pieces. For the main course, we had the lamb biryani, garlic naan, tandoori chicken, and paneer. The biryani and goat curry came beautifully wrapped in a dough. Everything was absolutely delicious, but the highlights were definitely the biryani and goat curry. For dessert, we had Pistachio Kulfi, which is essentially a frozen Indian-style ice cream. An Indian fusion tasting menu? Yes please! I'm glad we did, because our overall experience was really good. Firstly, in addition to the tasting menu, they have a great range of dishes and some happy hour specials too. The only less-than-awesome moment was our arrival. We were first in line at the host stand, at the very beginning of dinner service, with a reservation. However, we had to wait as a group behind us was welcomed and seated. The host was the only person all evening who wasn't warm or welcoming - it was a chilly arrival experience, with parking validation friction and would have put me off from the start if the servers hadn't saved it from there on out. We were seated close to the pass, which was a fun spot to watch both the kitchen and front of house teams at work, as well as a comfy booth from which to observe the rest of the space (including snooping at other diners' plates - for inspiration, of course). The server seemed surprised that we (as first-timers) went straight to the tasting menu, but quickly got organized and the drinks were with us within a few minutes. She was very present, explained everything really well, and handled my weird ingredient questions and preferences super well. The food was ahmahzing. 13 dishes in just over an hour - phew. Favorites and standouts included: - Green Papaya Salad: fresh, tangy and crunchy - Crispy Broccoli: vegetables never tasted this good. - Potato Dosa: too filling for a tasting menu, but the second-best bite on the menu - Dal Makhni: black lentils, creamy-dreamy and the best dish of the night. - Turmeric Fish: no idea what fish it was, but it was shockingly good. - Sticky Date Cake: yes, this is the British-originated sticky toffee pudding of my dreams, and beats anything I've had in the UK. Huge compliments to our server (Brett - she was amazing), the kitchen and to the management, who were very present all evening, checking in with subtlety and never overdoing it. I'm going to have to wait a few weeks to stop feeling so full, then I'll be back for a tour of the rest of the menu. I can't wait to bring out of town visitors; Ghee has brought West Midtown the type of southern-hospitality-meets-global-cuisine moments I have been hoping for. Welcome to Atlanta, team Ghee!
