Tabla is an exquisite dining place for Indian food. There is indoor and outdoor seating that is decorated in an elegant manner. In addition, there is a bar which is not common in Indian restaurants. We got there a bit late so we ordered takeout which arrived quickly. We ordered Garlic Naan, Chicken Tikka Masala, Mango Lassi, and Palak Patta Chaat. The Mango Lassi was very creamy and smooth! I enjoyed dipping the Garlic Naan into the Chicken Tikka Masala, which had a nice kick to it as well asked for medium spice level. The chicken was easy to bite through and the sauce was delicious. I also enjoyed the Palak Patta Chaat, which were essentially fried spinach fritters. They came with some sauces to dip them in. Overall, I liked Tabla and I would come here again to actually dine-in as the food was great (although a bit pricey). read more

What a great experience! We loved every minute of our experience at Tabla.. We started with the cauliflower appetizer that was definitely a winner from the start. It's a must try. We ventured out and tried what our server recommended and it was a homerun also. I always get paneer tikka masala, but he recommended paneer lababdah (sp?). And I enjoyed every bite of it! I forgot what my husband's dish was called, but that was really yummy too. I Already loved the modern and well decorated ambience from the minute i stepped in. It felt very upscale. I loved the sleek decor of this restaurant and customer service was great. I absolutely enjoyed the Mango Mojita ($6)! It was spicy but also sweet. I could've probably drank three glasses of this beverage in one setting, but I'm sure that would've been detrimental to my health due to all the sugar it had! I ordered the Lamb Biryani ($26) for my main course. I would've been fine with the small portion had the biryani tasted amazing, but it was lacking flavor, including salt and any sort of spiciness. Amazing curries, we got the butter chicken and chicken vindaloo. The chicken vindaloo is definitely very spicy so make sure you are okay with some heat! This small spot is really great! It's taken us far too long to get here. The food was delicious and the service was awesome. It is pretty small inside so get a reservation if you're definitely wanting to sit at a table, but we grabbed a bar seat at prime time on the weekend. The cocktails were also very good. read more

Excellent Indian food. We were visiting from Los Angeles where good Indian food is in abundance. Found this on Yelp near our hotel. Started with a refreshing Rupee Indian lager. So refreshing on a summer night. Then moved onto the garlic and naan. The naan was perfectly baked and seasoned. I could've just ate that all night. Then we also ordered the chicken tikka masala and the lamb shank. The sauces for each were amazing. The chicken and lamb were cooked just right. Nice and soft. Just perfect to go with the Indian white rice. The service was also outstanding. The waiter was very helpful and constantly checking in on whether we needed anything. The indoor seating area has a nice ambience, but we preferred to sit outside where the weather was perfect. So glad we found this place. Right next to Lucian's in Buckhead, this Indian restaurant has some delicious food--a Chicken Tika-like dish is very impressive, and their Nan is yummy. The vegetarian potato and cauliflower dish is also good. However, the good food is not ruined but certainly diluted by poor service, a bartender who is clueless at the art of mixology, and a poorly situated door so that you spend the entire evening in a draught. We had an amazing experience, we were in ATL for two weeks and ate here 3 times. It was soooo delicious, the tiki masala, butter chicken and tandoori chicken were incredible. The chicken was so tender it fell apart with a spoon. The garlic nan All I wanted was the chicken tiki masala after my surgeries. I like that they have whole wheat roti options since people who have blood sugar problems can eat too. The food honestly does not taste that great for the price. The karahi chicken had a sweet taste that threw me off (I asked for Indian hot) and all of the appetizers that were supposed to have a tandoori taste was really lacking flavor (shrimp, octopus, and chicken). I never go to these "high-end" looking Indian restaurants mostly because the prices do not reflect the taste or portion sizes. I was hoping this place would be different but it was not. Also, when we asked for a second mojito and to not put lime in it the second time. I could hear the bartender yelling at our waiter saying "why did he ask for a mojito then because it is the base of the drink." The bartender could just tell the waiter to tell us it cannot be made like that and we would move on with our lives. He just yelled so we could hear him at the table. You basically get high-end without the high-end prices. The service was great and our servers tended to our every need, even down to suggestions and fan favorites. This was helpful since I'm still learning Indian cuisine and I had lots of questions about the different types of curry and sauces. I ordered the Tandoori Chicken and my friend ordered the Eggplant! The BEST Biryani Tabla's Biryani is a flavor explosion in the best way. Cloves, black peppers, red peppers, dates?, anise and several more spices and flavors that I can't name. But the result is amazing! When dining in, we also get the spicy cauliflower. There is a small dining room by the bar and a larger area for groups on the other side of the restaurant. The service has always been top notch and I have dined in many times pre and post pandemic. Parking is validated for the parking deck to the right (when facing the entrance). The aesthetic of Tabla is very sleek and modern with a fun, upbeat playlist buzzing in the background. The service was excellent and our table had a nice window view of Buckhead and passersby. I had the Peach passion mocktail and it was fragrant with a nice kick of ginger spice. We started with the lamb kabob appetizer, very spicy and well-cooked. I got the rabbit dish to try, but I wasn't the biggest fan. I've never had rabbit before so I'm not sure what to compare it to, but there were far too many bones in the meat (which may be the usual), so it was a little difficult to consume, but the curry in this dish was great with naan. My friend got the desi chicken curry which was pretty good and I also liked this dish better than the rabbit dish. As a south Asian person, I wouldn't say this would be my go-to place for Indian food as it was very pricy and I would not say the food was exceptional. It was a little bland for my taste to be honest. However, I understand that different places cater to different audiences and I simply might not have been the target audience. Amazing authentic Indian cuisine located at the intersection of Pharr Rd and Peachtree Rd. The restaurant was very quaint and sized perfectly for an intimate dinner date. I ordered traditional favorites such as Tika masala and a lamb shank. I paired my meal with a 6oz glass of white wine. The server allowed me to taste test four different wines to help me make a decision on what would pair well with my meal. I opted for a Riesling that did not disappoint. The most disappointing part of our experience was the service. We were rushed 3 times during our meal even though it was clear we were still eating. We ended up getting pushed out only 45 minutes after we were seated. Other patrons around us had been seated for longer than we had, so I'm not sure why we were rushed specifically. Because of this negative experience, we will not be returning to this location. Located in the heart of the Buckhead shopping district, we were not impressed by the interior. The bar is beautiful but the rest of the restaurant is tiny and lackluster. We ordered the mango lassi and 2 cocktails, all of which were reasonably priced and delicious. We got both the garlic and plain naan, lamb chops, tandoori chicken, and eggplant curry. The lamb chops were incredibly delicious and came out to 3 chops at $25. The tandoori chicken was tender but surprisingly unflavorful. The eggplant curry was a miss for us. read more

Tabla is a nice quaint restaurant with an intimate dining area perfect for date night. The service was excellent here made many suggestions. The food came out hot fresh and packed with flavor I will 100% be returning we ordered the Lamb shank, Shoola Kebab and the Duck with a side of rice and garlic naan. This is probably my favorite Indian restaurant in Atlanta, although I haven't been to that many. Definitely a little pricier but well worth it! I've been to the Midtown location several times, this was my first time at the Buckhead location and the quality is the same! The server was super attentive. We got the lamb shank, which is what I always get when I come to this restaurant. The meat is so tender, it falls right off the bone. We also ordered the other lamb curry that was on the menu and it was also delicious! It wasn't spicy enough though in my opinion, even though I asked for extra spice. Also, their naan is a must-get! I visited Tabla, Buckhead location, and our vegetable samosas were good and the cheese & jalapeño naan were very good! I wish I could say the same about service... our waiter put in an extra order of naan for us and when we brought it up to him before we started to eat, he started arguing with us saying we ordered that knowing we did not get 12 pieces of naan for 2 people. Aside from service we ordered the paneer tikka masala for our entree and it was quite sour and mild when we ordered for it to be spicy. The service was the most off putting! Our friends have always recommended tabla to us, however they visit the downtown Atlanta location not the buckhead, so hopefully the downtown location will be a better experience.
