Good ambience, food and overall experience for an Indian restaurant. Atlanta doesn't have many good Indian restaurants like other cities. But Tabla can meet those expectations. read more

Food organized well and decorating were cool however taste wasn't good at all. Food was too sourly and sweet despite asking for extra spice they added sugar ‍‍. Once we return it back then they still want to charge us for those food man! Why? read more

Tabla - Food - Indian Near Me - Atlanta, Georgia

Indian is my absolute favorite cuisine and Tabla was extremely delicious. The doors were open to let in the breeze and the sunlight. Our food was exceptional and so was the service. Loved everything about this place. Had good music too. + really enjoyed seeing the chefs through the window. read more

My husband and I went with another couple and shared all the dishes. The food was aromatic, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. We ordered a couple appetizers (veggie samosas and okra fries), some garlic naan and three main dishes to share. For the main dishes we got the Desi Chicken, Tikka Masala, and Chicken Moilee. If we had to pick our favorite dish from the table it would hands down be the Desi Chicken. The meat was so tender and the sauce was incredible, especially paired with some garlic naan. Service was prompt and our server was great. Ambiance was clean and modern, definitely a place to go for date night. Overall, we would definitely go again. read more

As an indian, this food is very Americanized in flavor. I do enjoy some dishes from Tabla like the Amul Cheese Naan but I think the other location is better. This location is prettier but the food is ok. read more

The BEST Indian food in the US, no doubt! Flavorful and fresh! Ordered samosa, naan, and tikka masala! 10/10 - highly recommended read more

I visited Tabla, Buckhead location, and our vegetable samosas were good and the cheese & jalapeño naan were very good! I wish I could say the same about service... our waiter put in an extra order of naan for us and when we brought it up to him before we started to eat, he started arguing with us saying we ordered that knowing we did not get 12 pieces of naan for 2 people. Aside from service we ordered the paneer tikka masala for our entree and it was quite sour and mild when we ordered for it to be spicy. The service was the most off putting! Our friends have always recommended tabla to us, however they visit the downtown Atlanta location not the buckhead, so hopefully the downtown location will be a better experience. I would not visit this location again. read more

Went for lunch and it was ok. Pretty expensive for what was Indian food. Also the servers just ignored us after they brought food and I had to ask a guy on the phone who was standing in lobby talking for more water. Pretty sure he worked there. read more

upgrading my review! 5/5 stars! today we had killer service, delicious food and wonderful ambiance. samosas were good but the butter chicken, daal and eggplant were So good. authentic. the paan kulphi was truly authentic and unique. the drinks were delicious and the naan was yummy. overall, still kinda expensive but a wonderful place for indian food. great for meetings, dates, friends etc. the space is a little small so make ressies in busier nights. cute bar area too. will be back. don't forget to get some dessert and chai! read more

Food took me back to india- highly ew omens the khadi paneer. Service was impeccable, honestly made the entire night perfect. Ambiance of the private room was open and airy while creating an intimate family dinner vibe with the beautiful city street behind us. Soundproof windows, completely homey while serving high quality Indian food! read more

I came here for dinner with 2 friends and it was very chaotic. The host sat us pretty quickly but we waited with no attention for 20 minutes. Finally a server came he was kind but clearly confused (he seemed new). The apps came out quickly but the bottle of wine we ordered was left at our table unopened. I had to go to the bar to request the proper wine glasses (they brought us white for a red) and to have the bottle opened. The bartender was nice and the food was delicious but they really need to get their service together. read more

Absolutely delicious food! We had chicken tikka masala, chicken korma, a shrimp something, cauliflower something, plain naan, and mango lassi. Everything we ordered was tasty, hot, and fresh. Service was great, engaging, pleasant, and took care of business. Parking is validated in a covered lot for up to 2 hours. Will visit again! read more

Came for dinner and got one of the curry dishes. It was excellent. Service was good too. The only complaint was the dessert. Rice pudding was more like watery rice gruel. Otherwise the food was excellent. read more

So to start with the ambience is spectacular with tablas mounted high up on the wall. We had made reservations prior to arrival and so we were seated immediately. The server took a while to start us off with drinks. They had a good wine selection. For starters we ordered the lamb chops which was delicious. Only thing lacking was a sauce which we had to request. Food if really good only draw back was the service which was pathetic. Server forgot to place the order for fish, roti came late, definitely a delay in food. No follow up on asking if we needed anything. For the price we paid the service did not meet our standards read more

I am so happy for discovering this Indian restaurant. From the decor to the service, I was really pleased. I came here with a long time friend to be nostalgic on our Indian food ventures way back in Japan. I ordered the veggie samosas, tandoori octopus, chicken saag, spicy, and garlic naan. I thoroughly enjoyed our lunch here and will surely return. My friend and her husband came into town and enjoyed butter chicken curry, lamb Rohan Josh curry, and a few different naan ( plain, garlic, and truffle), as well as the taj majal beer. They enjoyed their food as well. Her husband shared that the lamb curry is very tomatoey, but tasty, with a slight spice that is not overwhelming. They brought their little one along as well and she seemed to enjoy trying out the foods on her palate. We look forward to visiting again, highly recommend. read more

Lamb Rogan Josh was amazing, the lamb melted like butter in your mouth. Next, the butter chicken was possibly the best I have ever had. Highly recommended! read more

I've never been a fan of Indian food, but I was a guest here. To say, my expectations were low would not be an understatement, but I loved everything. Excellent service and a memorable experience enjoyed by all six of us. read more

It is beautiful on the inside, there's a bar area to get some higher end drinks. I ordered the tandoori paneer appetizer, biryani, and some curries. I loved the appetizer, it was grilled perfectly and all the chutneys tasted great in accompaniment. I wouldn't get the biryani again. It was a good rice dish, but the spices as a whole didn't have that authentic biryani- spice that I crave. Rice doesn't come along with the curries (something that is common at most other Indian restaurants). Feels a little more expensive than other indian restaurants in Atlanta, but there is a nice ambience inside so I didn't mind paying the extra bit for a nice dinner out. Everyone is nice and we got all our dishes and drinks as we wanted/ ordered. read more

Food, service, atmosphere, everything was amazing. But the real reason to visit this restaurant is the Paan Kulfi ice cream. It's mind-blowingly delicious, and quite honestly, it's the best kulfi ice cream I've had in North America, by a mile. It's not listed. You have to ask for it. But get it. Your mind will be blown also. read more

Updated to 5 stars - we went back again for dinner. Had dal bukhara, tandoori jackfruit, amul cheese naan and shrimp moilee. Everything was delicious. Dal especially was not overladen with cream/butter and had a lovely tomato flavor - so comforting! And a bonus - we did not smell the cologne anywhere this time, just the hearthy smoky wafts from the tandoor. Perfect dinner. Great vibe. Delicious food. We ordered palak patta chaat, kurkuri bhindi, paneer tikka and samosa. Palak patta chaat was excellent, the batter that coated spinach was shatteringly crisp and flavorful. Chutneys were perfectly balanced in spice and seasoning level. Kurkuri bhindi was delicious with a nice amchoor and saunf flavor coming through. Paneer tikka had wonderful texture (paneer was fresh or house-made) with a great char, though the marinade felt a bit heavy handed on garam masala and a little low on garlic/yogurt flavors. The quarter lime wedge provided wasn't enough acidity to balance out the flavors. Similarly, samosa filling had a bit too much cinnamon and black cardamom flavor while not enough citrus/acidic/fresh flavor flavor from coriander seeds/leaves and powdered mango or pomegranate seeds. Masala soda was lovely and refreshing. All in all it was a good meal and service was good too, our server was attentive and food came out quickly. The only thing that was a little strange was that all of the service staff were wearing the same cologne, which was a rather heavy/cloying musky scent. Each time anyone came by our table we were left smelling this scent for several minutes and could not enjoy the lovely aroma of our food (which we could smell on the sidewalk outside and it had tempted us in!); this scent was overwhelming and affected our appetite. read more

Some of the best food I've ever tasted. Every dish was was flavorful and introduced a new flavor profile that I was excited to try. The service was excellent and drinks amazing. Can't wait to return! read more

The food and service at Tabla are amazing! I went for lunch on a whim and I'm glad I did. The cauliflower was very tasty slightly spicy (I like spice) and slightly sweet. But not too sweet where it's overpowering. The lamb kebab was good especially with the green sauce underneath. I recommend asking for more sauce. The tandoori chicken stole the show. It was a half chicken. Everything was succulent. The breast was not dry at all! It comes with rice, potatoes, and a sauce. So good! read more

I mean, best Indian food in Atlanta - 'nuff said. Love the Chef - nice guy from India. The service can and should improve. I once found a staple pin in my food, I raised it and seems it popped in when someone was probably opening a To-go bag or something. So 5 stars for the food, 3.5 stars for the service. read more

This is the best Indian food in Atlanta. I highly recommend making a reservation, as the restaurant is often completely full. The parking in Buckhead is located right behind the restaurant. Very nice decor on the inside. Feels like a high end dining experience. The Buckhead and Midtown menus are slightly different, but both locations are excellent. I have found the servers to always be friendly and very helpful in deciding what new dishes to try. The Tabla Kofta (a dumpling in a cream sauce) is an absolute favorite dish that we always get. The Butter Chicken is the best in town. They will adjust the spice level based on your preference. We have tried almost all the sides, the biriyanis and naans over several visits and we haven't had a dish we didn't love. If you love Indian food, Tabla is a MUST try! read more

Absolutely delicious food and they have the best Old Fashioned I've ever had! Wonderful atmosphere with a very efficient and friendly staff.

We had a delivery order , food came hot and fresh but we realized there was something tough in our food . We realized it was a roach cooked in our chicken . We called the restaurant to explain to them what we had experienced so no one else would be affected and they brushed it off saying they would do better and pay more attention in the kitchen. This was a major safety and health hazard that should have not been taken as lightly as they did . I hope no one else has to experience this. read more

If you love Indian food, then Tabla is the spot for you. The staff is super friendly and the food (especially the lamb biryani) is just so damn well made. Best of all are the cocktails! Indian flavors blend so well with modern cocktails, especially their chai old fashioned and mango mule. Their head bartender (also named Arjun) is so creative and has blended some truly awesome drinks for us, like a banana and bitters infused Boulevardier. I can't wait to go back. read more
