My husband and I went with another couple and shared all the dishes. The food was aromatic, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. We ordered a couple appetizers (veggie samosas and okra fries), some garlic naan and three main dishes to share. For the main dishes we got the Desi Chicken, Tikka Masala, and Chicken Moilee. If we had to pick our favorite dish from the table it would hands down be the Desi Chicken. The meat was so tender and the sauce was incredible, especially paired with some garlic naan. Service was prompt and our server was great. Ambiance was clean and modern, definitely a place to go for date night. Overall, we would definitely go again. read more

I came here for dinner with 2 friends and it was very chaotic. The host sat us pretty quickly but we waited with no attention for 20 minutes. Finally a server came he was kind but clearly confused (he seemed new). The apps came out quickly but the bottle of wine we ordered was left at our table unopened. I had to go to the bar to request the proper wine glasses (they brought us white for a red) and to have the bottle opened. I am so happy for discovering this Indian restaurant. From the decor to the service, I was really pleased. I came here with a long time friend to be nostalgic on our Indian food ventures way back in Japan. I ordered the veggie samosas, tandoori octopus, chicken saag, spicy, and garlic naan. I thoroughly enjoyed our lunch here and will surely return. My friend and her husband came into town and enjoyed butter chicken curry, lamb Rohan Josh curry, and a few different naan ( plain, garlic, and truffle), as well as the taj majal beer. They enjoyed their food as well. Her husband shared that the lamb curry is very tomatoey, but tasty, with a slight spice that is not overwhelming. They brought their little one along as well and she seemed to enjoy trying out the foods on her palate. We look forward to visiting again, highly recommend. read more

So to start with the ambience is spectacular with tablas mounted high up on the wall. We had made reservations prior to arrival and so we were seated immediately. The server took a while to start us off with drinks. They had a good wine selection. For starters we ordered the lamb chops which was delicious. Only thing lacking was a sauce which we had to request. Food if really good only draw back was the service which was pathetic. Server forgot to place the order for fish, roti came late, definitely a delay in food. No follow up on asking if we needed anything. It is beautiful on the inside, there's a bar area to get some higher end drinks. I ordered the tandoori paneer appetizer, biryani, and some curries. I loved the appetizer, it was grilled perfectly and all the chutneys tasted great in accompaniment. I wouldn't get the biryani again. It was a good rice dish, but the spices as a whole didn't have that authentic biryani- spice that I crave. Rice doesn't come along with the curries (something that is common at most other Indian restaurants). Feels a little more expensive than other indian restaurants in Atlanta, but there is a nice ambience inside so I didn't mind paying the extra bit for a nice dinner out. Updated to 5 stars - we went back again for dinner. Had dal bukhara, tandoori jackfruit, amul cheese naan and shrimp moilee. Everything was delicious. Dal especially was not overladen with cream/butter and had a lovely tomato flavor - so comforting! And a bonus - we did not smell the cologne anywhere this time, just the hearthy smoky wafts from the tandoor. Perfect dinner. Great vibe. Delicious food. We ordered palak patta chaat, kurkuri bhindi, paneer tikka and samosa. Palak patta chaat was excellent, the batter that coated spinach was shatteringly crisp and flavorful. Chutneys were perfectly balanced in spice and seasoning level. Kurkuri bhindi was delicious with a nice amchoor and saunf flavor coming through. Paneer tikka had wonderful texture (paneer was fresh or house-made) with a great char, though the marinade felt a bit heavy handed on garam masala and a little low on garlic/yogurt flavors. The quarter lime wedge provided wasn't enough acidity to balance out the flavors. Similarly, samosa filling had a bit too much cinnamon and black cardamom flavor while not enough citrus/acidic/fresh flavor flavor from coriander seeds/leaves and powdered mango or pomegranate seeds. Masala soda was lovely and refreshing. All in all it was a good meal and service was good too, our server was attentive and food came out quickly. The only thing that was a little strange was that all of the service staff were wearing the same cologne, which was a rather heavy/cloying musky scent. Each time anyone came by our table we were left smelling this scent for several minutes and could not enjoy the lovely aroma of our food (which we could smell on the sidewalk outside and it had tempted us in!); this scent was overwhelming and affected our appetite. read more

This is the best Indian food in Atlanta. I highly recommend making a reservation, as the restaurant is often completely full. The parking in Buckhead is located right behind the restaurant. Very nice decor on the inside. Feels like a high end dining experience. The Buckhead and Midtown menus are slightly different, but both locations are excellent. I have found the servers to always be friendly and very helpful in deciding what new dishes to try. The Tabla Kofta (a dumpling in a cream sauce) is an absolute favorite dish that we always get. The Butter Chicken is the best in town. They will adjust the spice level based on your preference. We have tried almost all the sides, the biriyanis and naans over several visits and we haven't had a dish we didn't love. If you love Indian food, Tabla is a MUST try! read more

The food and service at Tabla are amazing! I went for lunch on a whim and I'm glad I did. The cauliflower was very tasty slightly spicy (I like spice) and slightly sweet. But not too sweet where it's overpowering. The lamb kebab was good especially with the green sauce underneath. I recommend asking for more sauce. The tandoori chicken stole the show. We had a delivery order , food came hot and fresh but we realized there was something tough in our food . We realized it was a roach cooked in our chicken . We called the restaurant to explain to them what we had experienced so no one else would be affected and they brushed it off saying they would do better and pay more attention in the kitchen. This was a major safety and health hazard that should have not been taken as lightly as they did . I hope no one else has to experience this. read more

If you love Indian food, then Tabla is the spot for you. The staff is super friendly and the food (especially the lamb biryani) is just so damn well made. Best of all are the cocktails! Indian flavors blend so well with modern cocktails, especially their chai old fashioned and mango mule. Their head bartender (also named Arjun) is so creative and has blended some truly awesome drinks for us, like a banana and bitters infused Boulevardier. I can't wait to go back. read more

This has to be the best Indian food I've had in my life. Everything was cooked on point, not over or underdone rice, Naan, it was all AMAZING. To top it off the service was the kind you get at a five star. Five waiters in this place that seats at most 40 people. Water goes down a couple of sips - refilled. They do have the Indian disco jamming in here so be ready for that. Black tables and napkins, with solid white plates and traditional Indian metal serving bowls with the curry.
