My favorite spot! It's downstairs and the food is AMAZING! My only complaint is the amount of chicken in the Tikka Masla it's always way more stew then chunks of meat. I recently tried their drink menu and the bar tender did very well. Love the overall ambiance of the restaurant but I typically order to go! Totally perfect for a date night and those who appreciate great dining experience. read more

This has to be the best Indian food I've had in my life. Everything was cooked on point, not over or underdone rice, Naan, it was all AMAZING. To top it off the service was the kind you get at a five star. Five waiters in this place that seats at most 40 people. Water goes down a couple of sips - refilled. They do have the Indian disco jamming in here so be ready for that. Black tables and napkins, with solid white plates and traditional Indian metal serving bowls with the curry. I couldn't stop eating. The desserts were also all on point, I got three of them for the three diners I had. The rice pudding, the ice cream, the dumplings. read more

Great service and good food. On the higher end of Indian restaurants but worth the trip. It was busy and we had very good service. We had the cauliflower app and chicken tikka masala and an eggplant entre which was a bit spicy for me but my companion loved it. Will be back read more

It's hard to find an Indian restaurant here in Buckhead. Tabla exceeded all of our expectations. Food was authentic and flavorful. Raksha the waitress and Arjun the head bartender were friendly, knowledgeable, and fun to be around. Will be back shortly to try some of Arjun's signature cocktails! I highly recommend Tabla if you enjoy great Indian food and service at a reasonable price, especially for Buckhead. read more

Tabla - Lamb Rogan Josh and Butter Chicken were both incredible! Ordered extra spicy with garlic and chilli naan. - Indian Near Me - Atlanta, Georgia

I was pleasantly surprised on how much I enjoyed the food and the experience. I haven't really indulged in Indian food so I really do not have any other experience to compare to, other than my taste buds. The restaurant is aesthetically pleasing and comfortable. Our waitress was so kind, she had great recommendations and helped guide us on our choices since we had no idea how to order. We tried the appetizer which was a special (not sure the name) however it was excellent. I'm Trini so of course I'm looking for a curry dish, so we had two. My fav was the curry with the almond sauce, really good!! I def will be back, I hope the restaurant is paying tips to the servers because that is a problem if not. read more

Yes, there are less expensive Indian themed restaurants in town, however my visit to Tabla was pleasant and didn't break the bank. There are some "standards" on the menu that can be had in a dozen other good Indian restaurants, so try the more unusual choices and the familiar "with a Tabla twist. " We shared the cauliflower app. It was sweet, spicy, and not overly breaded - and it came to the table quickly. We both had a biryani, a chicken and an all veggie. The biryanis are prepared in a copper pot, with a covering of naan over the top (a la a pot pie), that seals in all the goodness. As a result, the rice and contents are piping hot and not dry. The server peeled back the opening - table side drama. The interior is chic but not stuffy or uncomfortable. Ample parking in the area. Give it a try, I'll be back! read more

Great ambience and service. The lighting was perfect for date night. Food had great flavor. My biggest heartache were two things. Table side bread wasn't complimentary and the portion sizes were small compared to the cost. read more

Food was full of flavor and delicious. Service was good and our waiter was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about all the different curry. I absolutely will be visiting this place again read more

Tabla - Goat Beli Ram Curry Plate - Indian Near Me - Atlanta, Georgia

Visited Tabla for my first Indian dining experience and I was for sure satisfied. I had the Amuul cheese & jalapeño naan and the lamb vindaloo. The food was so good and the service was top tier. read more

Tabla is priced for an opulent dining experience but falls short in delivering it. The service was a bit rushed on a Saturday with several attempts to clear our dinner plates before we were adequately done! The dishes we ordered were overloaded with cream and were delivered within a few minutes of ordering, at the outset perhaps sounds great, but made me realize that everything was already pre-prepared. Drinks were great! I expect a little more for the amount that I'm paying... read more

Tabla was awesome! Everything we had was good and satisfied my Indian craving! We had lamb vindaloo, chicken tiki masala and a couple vegetarian dishes. The vegetarian dishes were surprisingly my favorites! I love that the spice levels were actually what we asked for. We had everything from mild to hot. Service was great and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The Buckhead location is really nice but small so you'll definitely want to make reservations. read more

Amazing Amazing Amazing!!! My favorite Indian restaurant hands down! Spectacular food with great service! I'll be back!

We picked up a very bad case of food poisoning after eating here. I called and informed them about the same - not sure what they will do though. read more

I came here to celebrate my birthday with two girlfriends last Tuesday night. From the moment we walked in the door the service was terrible. With many open tables in the restaurant we waited nearly 8 minutes in the doorway waiting on a table to be selected. The gentleman who seemed to be in charge of setting tables seemed to do everything other than expedite seating us. Once we sat it took over 10 minutes to be greeted by the wait staff. We immediately order a cocktail and two glasses of wine. The wine came about 15 minutes later. My cocktail took over an hour from the minute we sat down. Given it was my birthday my friends did not even want to drink there's until I had mine. I asked three times for him to check on it and he continued to walk by the table with no update nor drink. The lighting was far too bright in my opinion as well for an evening dinner spot in Buckhead. I will say the food was quite delicious, but the memory that was left does not resonate with the food. Very disappointing customer service experience all around. Nothing was offered by way of comping my drink or anything. Not likely to return nor recommend at this point. read more

Really enjoyed the food here! Had the fried cauliflower which was really good - great flavor and nice spice. The chicken Tikka masala was delicious as was the lamb vindaloo. We also tried the garlic naan and tandoori vegetables. Will definitely eat here again! read more

As a lover of Indian food and a fan of the original Tabla, it pains me to give the Buckhead location 3 stars. So what's the deal? Lets start with the good. The starter (Chicken Malai) was yummy, and main dishes (Eggplant, Kofta) were quite tasty if just a little bit overly rich. The just ok: the naans (Garlic and Kashmiri) had good flavor but were rather dry and similar to some of the lesser naan available at your standard grocery. Also I find the ambience at this location rather meh and much prefer the midtown Tabla vibe. The unacceptable: wife ordered a specific white wine, and not an inexpensive one. It showed up at the table with a rather deep caramel color and tasted not at all like the light wine described on the wine list. We called the server, who then explained how they were out of the requested wine, so he substituted the house equivalent. She said no thanks and he took it away. Substituting is kinda ok, but doing so without telling us and hoping we wouldn't notice doesn't make for great customer service or good business practice. Then when the bill came, you guessed it: the wine was still on it. After much discussion between the manager and our server it all got straightened out, but still. They tried to sneak a wine substitution past us, then tried to sneak it onto the bill at the end. This makes me question any number of things about the food, cleanliness, etc. Still....the food that is good is darned good so I don't think it's fair to give a 1 star review. So 3 it is. read more

We visited here because it was close to my hotel, I had my wife and kids with me, As soon as I walked in I was told I needed a reservation, But reception too pity on us and offered us a tall table at the corner. The other side were all "upscale" people sitting, So they thought let us offer this sweatpants wearing Indian dude a corner high table near the bar. Then person who gave us the table went and had big discussion with bar tender, Not sure what the discussion was, They finally concluded to give us that table with small child seat, How is a 2 year going to reach 5 ft tall table? Treat person walking through your door better next time, Treat people better next time. Good Luck. read more

Stick to the original tabla! I did not enjoy the food and service at this restaurant. The food was definitely different from the original tabla. The waiters were rude and service was slow. read more

We ordered chai, mango lassi, channa pindi, garlic naan and saag paneer. All items were satisfactory except the saag paneer - it was so salty it was inedible and I tend to like a lot of salt in my food. I doubted my assessment of the flavor because the restaurant was on the nicer end and had good reviews, but the couple of times I returned to the dish to take a bite, I had to keep myself from spitting it out. Saag is one of my favorite dishes, so I've eaten it in many restaurants, and I spent a month in India and that dish was the worst Indian food ever had. Disappointing dining experience and $80 meal. read more

Tabla has a nice outdoor patio seating, and friendly service. We ordered only appetizers, and we were not disappointed. The crispy okra is nice and lightly seasoned, which made it perfect for snacking. It was mildly reminiscent of shoestring fries. The fried cauliflower was delicious and filling. I highly recommend it if you're looking for a vegetarian alternative to fried chicken wings. The duck samosas were tasty. I would have preferred the duck a little more finely cut, but I appreciated the crispy finish and the fruit chutney? that accompanied it. But the top award we had goes to the tandoori shrimp. The tenderness perfect seasoning of the shrimp and the smokiness from the tandoori oven really set it off. I can't hardly justify it with a written description... Just have it. You will not be disappointed. read more

I've been at least a dozen times and I am never disappointed. The tikka masala is the best I've ever had.

Fancy place, good service, and good food. The tikka masala was a bit sweet but the sag ghosh was excellent and a nan was solid. Best Indian place of experience in Atlanta so far. read more

Have lived in Atlanta for over 30 years. In spite of what appears to be a thriving Indian community, I've always been surprised at the lack of good Indian cuisine. I found a great spot tonight at Tabla. The atmosphere is festive but not deafening. Every table was occupied and there seemed to be a tremendous amount of takeout. Parking is in a deck behind the restaurant that can be s little confusing to navigate. But, it's worth the effort. Service was perfect. Just the right amount of attention and very pleasant and helpful. It's the food though that will keep people coming back. The four of us tried many different dishes and loved every single one. The highlight had to be the Parda Biryani which we ordered vegetarian. Presentation was surpassed only by the flavors of this dish. Can't say enough good things about this place and can't wait to get back. read more

Had takeaway tonight from Tabla Buckhead! Exceptionally clean, perfectly kind and professional staff, quick and efficient service, and most importantly the quality of the food was unbelievable! Best Indian in Atlanta officially!!!! Can't wait to go back! Chicken tikka masala, Saag, and Black Dal were perfection! No better garlic naan than Tabla! Bomb food! A+ read more

This place recently opened for dine in and I had nothing but a great experience my first visit. Staff was nice, food was great and the service was good too. The duck samosas and the goat curry were the stars of our meal out of the spread we ordered. The butter chicken was a bit on the sweet side but I understand everyone has their own styles and it's no fault of their own just wanted to give a heads up for others. Flavor was great in everything we tried and we will be coming back again! read more

Tabla Midtown family dinner tonight was an amazing experience - not only was the food extremely good ( Achari Chicken Tikka, Lehsuni Cauliflower, Tandoori Chicken, Daal Bukhara as well as the deserts (3) we ended our meal with were all amazing. A friend lives in the building and suggested we grab a wine and a snack, since she knows and likes the chef, the staff and particularly the food. Actually located on Pharr, I had seen this restaurant from the outside and not thought too much about it, although my wife and I had a great experience at Tabla in midtown Atlanta. I was in a different world once I walked in, more contemporary and elegant than I had expected for an Indian restaurant, but with the familiar smells of fine cooking (my Sri Lankan wife is a master chef and over 45 years of marriage, I have learned a bit about the spices of India). In fact, the food was some of the best I have ever enjoyed. My thanks to the chef and the staff for making what started as a quick snack into a very pleasant hour long experience. read more

Bad service. Walked in with my wife on a Friday. Place is mostly empty. The man in his 60's with no name tag or uniform talked over the hostess and asked if we had reservations. Said no as we didn't had reservations. I didn't know if he worked there but assumed he did by the way he was hovering over the hostess. We sat down and ordered drinks. Our seat was close to the entrance and asked to move to a different seat. The waitress was going to move us to a different table as it was not crowded. But again I saw the same guy saying something to the waitress and waitress came back and said she cannot move us. We paid for the drink and left. Looks like a poorly managed place. The drink nearly had any alcohol in it. read more

Good enough food, however, the management is woefully unprofessional. I took a couple clients for a dinner here and Tabla managed to charge me 5 times for a single meal. Obviously a mistake when you see the Amex bill. I have called them, my assistant and internal controls team have called them and there managers essentially hang up on us. Amex is now investigating. In a world where customer service and experience matters, this business has lost my business and that of my team / clients. read more
