CONSUMERS BEWARE - I live in Tarrytown (Central Austin), and I was contacted by a representative of this company via text message, telling me that my trees needed trimming. They informed me that they were out at my residence and inspected my trees. When I asked this person when specifically they were out at my house, they refused to answer. When I asked them what they thought was wrong with my trees (dead branches, limbs too long), they refused to answer. When I asked them which oak trees that they said needed trimming, they said "front and back." That was news to me because I have no oak trees in the back of my property. Furthermore, I checked the footage of my property cameras (which alert me when someone comes on or near the property line) and I could find no evidence of any inspection. Absolutely no one was out there as they indicated performing this inspection. I was notified however, that Always Green would only charge me the "neighborhood route rate of $2,599 all-in instead of the usual $3,200+" if I would agree to purchase this service. It is my opinion that this company tried to shake me down for services that were entirely unnecessary. If you have any questions about my experience, please contact me. IN RESPONSE TO THE OWNERS COMMENTS on 6/12/26 - (1) Whether on the property or on the public right-of-way, this company was never out there. That was a calculated lie (just like an auto mechanic who creates a problem when their isn't one) to manufacture business. My cameras capture the street as well as the property. There is absolutely zero evidence of anyone being out there (2) I had my trees professionally trimmed within 30 days of their solicitation, and anyone with any sort of experience in this business would immediately know that upon inspection, and (3) The owner did return my call but just about everything that came out of her mouth was incredulous. She basically said "I don't know what my sales and marketing team are doing." Yeah ok... RESPONSE 2 (6/12/26) - I did speak with the owner and even after all of this time, she could not tell me when her company was out here inspecting my trees. She knows they were never out here, and she knows they were never inspected. The only thing she replied to that was truthful was when I mentioned her family. I said Brooke "I certainly hope that you don't have children to teach them how to lie, cheat and steal from people, as you're doing with me right now. They will likely end up learning the same terrible values that you're representing to me in this phone call, and probably end up on drugs or lying their way through life." So that part is true. After two groups of two texts (4) identical to each other (two identical messages sent days after each other), I responded that I'd need to consult the ghouls in my attic. After quickly realizing this wasn't a vulture looking to buy my home at poverty rates, I quickly responded that, sure, I'd take a quote! I've got some branches over my roof. But, perchance, they're still vultures. Next I hear, I'm being offered the incredible value of $2,500 for my $3,250 quote I've never seen! Anytime you're pressed with this urgency for a discount, you have to question things. But what could this possibly include? A full butcher job of all my trees? I just had a ton of work done at my house in Denton, TX, with an arborist I trust, for $2,400. I have no idea what was in that quote. Never shared. $2,500 to trim very thin and minimal branching over my roof is true lunacy. I can't imagine what kind of hatchet job they had in mind, and that is why I write this review. Have a certified arborist assess your situation. Too many tree trimmers are looking to cut with wild abandon. I do not believe that any certified arborist would suggest any work without actually having access to the tree. My experience is that's necessary - these folks didn't have access to my back yard - and I'd also expect, from past experience, for a clear explanation of why the work is necessary for tree health. They ended up pressure washing all of our flat spaces, blowing out my gutters, cleaning some windows, laid down mulch.
