When we first hired Jarin to build us a new fence, we were so impressed with his responsiveness,quality of work and competitive competitive pricing we knew we would give him future business. Fast forward to the past two months where Jarin made our vision a reality and I am BLOWN AWAY with how he has transformed our outdoor space. Unlike many contractors, Jarin takes time to listen. Not only that, he takes time to make recommendations based on future projects he's not yet contracted for. He first installed our 16x16 foot cedar plank pressure treated deck, paying close attention to how this deck would be part of a larger project. He made recommendations such as installing shorter steps on one side to make a natural walkway from opposite sides, to designing the stairs that lead to our firepit area in such a way that it's GORGEOUS. He heard my dream of having a sunket firepit and brought it to life! He made recommendations on size according to budget and even hunted down the exact type and color gravel we envisioned. He was always courteous and patient with response times and I knew every step of the way we were in great hands. Y'all...a sunken firepit is the ultimate Pinterest dream come to life. And then...I dropped another request. To help us install a 10.5ft x 6 foot outdoor movie screen because if you're going to be extra, just go for it! Once again, Jarin came to the rescue and made a design recommendation that fit not only our style but very specific needs to make it accessible and removable. The photos don't do it justice. Hired this company to clean up our 2.5 acres after the last super storm. We lost quite a few trees and others were badly damaged. They left an unfinished and a complete mess. I've found (stopped counting after 20) soft drink cans and bottles hidden behind rocks or brush all over the property. His "crew" turned out to be a bunch of kids who had to be watched (by me!) in order to be sure they were working. Otherwise, they were sitting or leaning against a tree on their phones. They played games, Jarin, the charming owner didn't stay to supervise them, so my husband and I had to go out and so it ourselves and ended up working ourselves. They were always very late in arriving and left early the first day. The 2nd day, they packed up to leave at 5 pm, and demanded full payment. Said he would come back to finish. A large branch fell out of one of our beautiful pecan trees with all the recent weather in Austin, and on the way down, it cracked another one (30 ft up), so we needed someone to safely remove it before it fell on its own and crushed something. Jarin responded to my bid request within about 15 minutes, and was here a few hours later to check out the tree. He agreed to take the one branch down and recommend some additional trimming over the street. His quote was literally half of the other bid that we received, and he came over at 8am the very next morning to complete the work. I called Jarin very last minute to get a quote on taking out some hackberry trees from my fence line. He came down two hours later and gave me 20% lower bid than the other contractors I had seen + found out he can also do fences...! Which was why I needed the trees out. They tore out my chain link & hauled it away & replaced it with a beautiful wood fence reinforced on the bottom to prevent the neighbor dogs from digging out my fence + removed all of the hackberries down to ground level within 48 hours of my first call. He did a good job removing the big limb. He brought his kids who are about 5 years old to work though which is a no no. He had to come back on the second day to trim some trees but came very late in the evening. He didn't let my neighbor know when he was doing the job. They heard something on the roof and called 911 but luckily nothing happened. I asked him to estimate some other jobs at another house but he didn't show up or contact me back.
