We hired this cleaning company because we urgently needed our house cleaned for rental showings. They offered same-day availability, which was the main reason we chose them. They charged us $300 for a 1,509 sq ft house -- despite the fact that the home had brand-new blinds, brand-new flooring in all three bedrooms, and no refrigerator to clean. This was absolutely not a discounted or bargain price. Before hiring them, they specifically promised they would come back and address anything my realtor found unsatisfactory after the cleaning. Based on that promise, I paid them in full immediately after the service. A few days later, my realtor inspected the property and found the cleaning quality extremely poor. She provided them with a detailed list of areas that were still dirty. One toilet was so poorly cleaned that my realtor cleaned it herself. On another toilet, instead of properly scrubbing blue staining inside the toilet, they simply suggested replacing the whole toilet altogether. That alone tells you the level of effort they put into the job. The dishwasher was still dirty. Windows, baseboards, drawers, and other surfaces were visibly dirty. There were even cobwebs still hanging on the walls. When I contacted them to come back as promised, their attitude immediately changed. They were rude, dismissive, and kept delaying scheduling. I gave them my husband's number to coordinate a return visit, and they said the earliest they could come was Saturday (nearly a week later). Then on Saturday, they suddenly claimed they would not return unless someone was physically present at the house to inspect their work. This made absolutely no sense because they already knew the property was vacant and that we were remote landlords. They had completed the original cleaning using an access code with nobody present, so this was clearly just an excuse to avoid honoring their promise. After that, they stopped answering calls from both me and my husband entirely. The house was still dirty, and we ended up paying another cleaning company to redo the entire job properly. Unprofessional, dishonest, and extremely poor-quality work. I would strongly discourage anyone from using this company. Respond to the owner's response: you lied! (1) The toilet was totally cleanable. The second cleaner cleaned this toilet with no problem. It looks very clean now. But you even didn't try and simply asked me to buy a new toilet. What a moron. Another toilet shown in the picture showed how my realtor easily cleaned after you still left it dirty! (2) my husband said he didn't clearly agree to have someone come for you because your accent was strong and he couldn't clearly hear what you said. Simply not realistic for us to agree. When he called you, you also didn't tell him which day and time you could come back to clean the house either. Later when I called you to come back, I already explained to you why we couldn't have someone on the spot waiting for you because it was an empty house and we couldn't hire someone to wait for you there. You knew this already even before we let you clean our house at the beginning, because we gave you the house access code to come in and nobody was there! We told you our realtor would come a few days later to check and asked if you could come back to finish cleaning if she pointed out dirty places. You agreed which is why we gave you money to do it. Unfortunately we paid you in full on the same day you did the cleaning. So you can become a moron later. You simply didn't want to keep your own promise to come back to finish cleaning. You could simply say you would come back to finish cleaning what we pointed out and no more trips if my realtor found out more later. However you simply refused to answer our phone and disappeared! If you continue to lie in public here after causing us so much stress and financial loss by hiring a second cleaner, I will further seek related third party for help. I don't believe such a horribly bad company could lie like this in public. read more

The cleaning was great, the ladies who came over were efficient and friendly! My issue was that I was quoted $94 (with the promotional discount) but when they left I was told that it was $145 (with the discount) because I scheduled a deep clean. I spoke on the phone with someone and told them I had not scheduled a deep cleaning, I scheduled a regular. After realizing his mistake he said "they already did the deep cleaning, sorry. It's $145." I did not want to argue in front of the cleaning lady as it wasn't her fault so I paid and called the company right after she left to no avail. I 100% understand paying for services given however why do I have to pay an extra $50 for a mistake on their end and not mine. I contacted Ema's sort of spontaneously. I had that feeling of, " I need help," and after a quick search on Yelp (thanks, fellow Yelpers!), I found Ema! Customer Service: I reached out via Yelp and staff was very responsive to my questions about service & quotes. I have only gotten a place cleaned 1x in my life, so I had questions. The quote was reasonable. I have a 1 bedroom/1 bath. To my surprise and delight Ema's brought 3 staff members. I got out of there way (since the apartment is small). They finished in about 1.5 hour! The Service: Again, Ema's finished in about 1.5 hours which was great timing. Emma's cleaned very thoroughly. Like ......I am spooked at how good it was! THE ATTENTION TO DETAIL. OMG. True to their word they wiped down kitchen appliances and cleaned every room-- including a desk and closet that were dusty and cluttery. I did not even think about those areas! I don't know why it's so difficult to find a thorough cleaning company. The two people who cleaned my home were friendly, but I paid for a move out clean ($220) and my boyfriend is at my house cleaning again today. They only spent 2 hours in my home that is a standard clean; I would expect my home to be move in ready after a move out clean. They left many things still dirty, including paint in the sink and on the floor which is water based paint therefore all they had to do was scrape it. I am super disappointed by this clean and the fact that I spent $220 just for my boyfriend to have to drive to my house again to finish their job. A move out clean is typically 3-5 hours, not 1.5. What they completed was more of a standard clean with appliance added on. I feel like my cleaning was very rushed. read more

My experience with Emma's was great! I found this cleaning company in yelp and messaged them. I got an almost instant reply from the owner with a quote and they were able to come the very next day. I really really appreciate the fast communication. I have a two bedroom/two bathroom apartment that is about 1500 sq ft. I paid $120 for two cleaners to come and do nearly everything. My bathrooms are squeaky clean, the kitchen cabinets and stainless steel appliances are shining, and they even put new sheets on my bed. They also vacuumed and mopped. They were also very Covid conscious and used masks the entire time they were in my home. I was also able to pay electronically with Venmo. I highly suggest this company for a great clean. read more

Our First a cleaning a deep cleaning was amazing! We thought we'd schedule a biweekly clean the first clean was today. Our house just needed a good sweep mop and dusting. It took them two hours and it was 200$ which seemed high but that is another issue. When I got home our master Bedroom and bathroom where visibly dirty. When I called to complain the person I spoke to said he was the one who came to my house and was training a new employee and blamed it on the woman and the fact that she was new. When I told my husband what he said my husband who was home the whole time during the cleaning. Informed me that he in fact was the one who had been cleaning in our master bedroom. I think I could've just moved on and hired someone else. But the fact that this man lied and blamed it on the other employee just really upset me. I also thought maybe they would offer to give me some money back or come back and do a touch up. We haven't had many house cleaners once right before our baby was born last year and the house was spotless and for 160$ it was a gift from my parents. 200$ and you can see I wiped my own bathroom counters and a section on the floor with a baby wipe. I very rarely write a review, only in exceptional circumstances of great or poor service. Ema's looked good by all accounts and reading reviews, but unfortunately after the service I received this will be a fairly negative one. I booked for a 'deep clean' at the discounted rate if $350, for a first time user, our house is four bed and three bath to note. The team arrived on time with four members and I was told they'd be there for 2.5 hrs. I decided after the first room was done to take a look and noted the baseboards weren't dusted and parts of the floor not vacuumed or moped. This was rectified and therefore you'd think that they'd take those notes on board. Once finished after two hours the team packed and was about to leave when one guy came back in to see if all was ok. We walked the house and window ledges, some shutters, parts of the floor, shelves weren't dusted or cleaned. It was so frustrating having to take the time out of my day having to go around every piece of my house to point out what wasn't done. The guy made good on nearly all things, but what an ordeal to get there... and all for $350. I could have booked a normal clean and would have expected more to be honest. I won't be booking them again and it was too rushed and attention to detail of workmanship wasn't great. read more

They did a good job and the standard cleaning was on par with what we've experienced with three other cleaners in the area, but at a slightly lower price. I asked specifically for one bathroom's tile and grout to be deep cleaned and Ralph did a great job. He even offered advice on how to keep it free of grime for longer. The team (there were 3 folks- masked, super safe) arrived an hour early after calling and asking if they could! I loved it. They were extremely efficient, split the floors so they were complete in 2 hours! I have a 3 BR/ 3 BA and was charged $150 plus tip. 100% worth it to not have to get the nooks and crannies after working all week.
