Brent C. did a great job. Very efficient and thorough per usual. Would highly recommend.

The team was easy to work with. We got my appointment set up quickly and they communicated ahead of time. Brent was knowledgeable and efficient, explaining the treatment plan and verifying the price (which was very fair) before he got to work. As he applied the treatment, he also inspected the house for any other potential issues (which luckily we didn't have). While I was looking at a few different companies initially, I heard Magic Pest & Lawn mentioned as a supporter during the recent KUT fund drive, which sealed my decision to roll with them. I'm very glad I did. read more

I found Magic Pest and Lawn years ago during a Yelp search and I've been using them for ages since. They are so much better than ABC! Todd is our MP&L technician these days, and he does an excellent job. Todd just aced a true test of his work ethos on his last call to us: we had over 40 active wasp nests ) no exaggeration, and he stayed and sprayed until every last one of them was blasted. And this was on a brutally hot Austin summer day. Everyone at the company is pleasant to deal with, and they are very organized and responsible. I highly recommend Magic Pest and Lawn!!! read more

I'm trying to understand why my experience is so different from these 5 star reviews.. After talking to a few pest companies, not only did they get the species of ants wrong (acrobat vs carpenter) which affects the bait being used, but they also can't get their story straight. I contacted them about an ant infestation inside my home. The technician who came out placed sugar bait inside to eliminate colony. He told me that an exterior treatment was not necessary at that time. I accepted that recommendation, due to potential exposure for my active dog. Months later, I called to follow up because the ant problem had not been resolved. I was then told the $216.50 treatment of simply adding sugar bait for the interior also included exterior treatment during the original visit. That was surprising because I was never told an exterior treatment had been done. When I asked where it had been applied, they did not give me a clear answer regarding the exterior. Paying for another treatment isn't the issue. If the ants require another visit, I'm happy to pay for it. My concern is that the explanation of what was actually done has changed. Now, they're saying I have to pay another $216 for their services again. Something just isn't adding up. If there's a reasonable explanation, I'd like to hear it. Based on the conflicting information, I have little confidence in their service. read more

Had a raccoon issue in my attic. the critters kept coming and going and was nearly impossible to fish them out. Brent C was my guy at Magic Pest and he was very thorough and diligently came out frequently to try to bait the raccoons out. it took some time (not his fault) but we finally got it cleared up! read more

Brent C was great. Showed up on time and communicated well. Told us what he did and pointed out issues

I highly recommend Magic Pest and Lawn. Booking was super easy. Brent showed up on time. He was very thorough, paying special attention to areas that scorpions could enter my home. With the heat and drought going on in Austin outdoor critters decided to move in and make themselves comfortable in my space. Magic Pest is my line of defense. Give them a call, you will sleep better. read more

We called Magic to trap a skunk in our yard. The technician came out quickly and got the trap set up. Over a week, managed to catch several possums and raccoons but no skunk. Our technician always came over quickly to release the critter and reset the trap. We're still trying to catch the skunk and the service continues to be excellent. read more

Their policy clearly states that "ant mounds will be treated during your quarterly pest treatment." However, my ant mound was not handled during the service. When I contacted customer service, they refused to fix the issue and instead wanted me to pay an additional $50 for granules. They do not follow their own policy and try to charge extra for services that should already be included. Very disappointed. Giving 2 stars since they got nice technicians **************************************************** Responding to the owner: The representative did not offer to come back initially. In our email conversation, I even referenced your company's own policy to show that this should have been covered as part of the in-between service. However, the customer service representative kept denying responsibility and refused to acknowledge what the policy clearly states. At that point, I was already extremely frustrated and disappointed with how the situation was handled, which is why I decided to cancel the pest control service altogether. It was a while later, the owner reached out and offered a one-time comeback. By then, I no longer wanted to continue with the service. read more

Brent C was very courteous and went above and beyond to take care of a very stubborn pest issue

Brent C was great! Came out to my home very quick and addressed all my problem areas

Magic Pest and Lawn has been a great business to work with over the last couple of years. They helped me solve the critter invasion of raccoons and squirrels that try to get in all of our homes. I am critter free. I pay for an annual plan and they visit and spray my house several times a year for a reasonable price. I have found they charge less than other companies for better service. The staff is helpful and efficient. I want to highlight their employee, Brandon, who has been so kind and friendly to my 2 rescue kitties. He goes above and beyond in his interactions with my kitties and gives them fond attention because they get afraid with strangers. Thank you Brandon and Magic Pest and Lawn. read more

Go elsewhere, paid their $55 inspection fee for nothing. We called because we heard something crawling around our attic. Guy comes out pokes around in attic for a few minutes then walks around outside, says I don't see anything. Well we kept hearing the noise in our attic, so called Research Pest Control and their guy says I found 2 spots before we even answered the door, one was right outside our front door, They sealed us up, removed 2 squirrels and were great to work with. Buyer Beware. read more

Brent C is AMAZING! I noticed rodent droppings in my home on Tuesday morning. Magic Pest & Lawn sent Brent C to my home the same day. They told me he was incredibly knowledgeable and had been with the company with a long time. Brent did not disappoint--he was thorough, calm, and articulated a plan for many he exclusión and mosquitoes (as I asked for that). I was pleasantly surprised when the quote I received was reasonable (and actually 1/2 of what I had paid another pest control company 3 years ago for exclusuon only.) Today (Friday), Brent arrived early in the AM, communicated when he was close, and completed everything identified in his quote within a couple of hours. I am so happy I chose Magic Pest & Lawn--and, more importantly, grateful that Brent C was the technician sent to service my home! read more

Magic Pest and Lawn - Pest Control Near Me - Austin, Texas

Manages our lawn year around, successfully keeping our weeds at bay! Brent C has been great to work with!

I had been using another local pest control company for over 10 years, but over the last 8 months, I noticed a significant drop in their quality. When I called between quarterly visits complaining of live scorpions and bugs, they would just move up my quarterlies so I ended up paying more. Even after paying for these treatments and dusting the attic multiple times, I still saw scorpions in our bathroom and living room and spiders everywhere. Eventually, I gave up on them and found Magic Pest & Lawn. I'm so glad I switched to Magic Pest & Lawn. My technician, Dave H, is excellent! He was very thorough, spraying and dusting everywhere. I really appreciated that he warned me I might see an influx of scorpions over the next 48 hours after the initial treatment, which I did--but they were all dead. From the time between the initial and second treatments, I only saw one live scorpion for which they sent someone out to spray the problem area. I also haven't seen a single live bug inside the house, and summer in Texas is just wrapping up! Magic Pest & Lawn is a little pricier because of the add-ons, but if I never have to see a bug or scorpion inside the house again, it's worth it in my books. read more

Note- Magic Pest Uses Petroleum Based Chemicals!!! I have mixed feelings about magic pest and lawn. When our technician arrived he seemed distracted and was on a personal call. While he was here I began to smell a very strong smell not observed in our 2 previous treatments. I e-mailed the owner and he responded promptly and said they did not change their chemicals. He offered me a refund which was very nice of him. I requested the SD sheets for the chemicals and concentrate and had a friend who is a Chemist review them. The most important thing to note is these chemicals are petroleum based which means they stick around but they are in acceptable levels as long as the quantities are correct. Next time I will spring for the eco companies. read more
