Just adding a star since J&J has now taken responsibility (after my review) to figure out where the money went when they processed my card. I'm mostly updating to give a full picture for others in case they read this review thread. Here's the payment proof I sent (aka a screenshot of the bank transaction that had posted with the cost and their name) , you be the judge if that is adequate proof. Also, them "writing off the invoice" does not mean that I was refunded (not that I expect or want that), but I think it's a valuable distinction in how their response reads. Again, I have no issues with the service. From what I can tell, the pest control has worked. My two stars are related to the reaction and time it took for them to take responsibility in the error from their side. Happy yelping. read more

When I suspected I had termites in the bathroom, I emailed the general manager, Monica, who had answered another post on Nextdoor. She is responsive and knowledgeable. She set me up for a free inspection with Lee, who is incredibly personable and kind; listens and answers all questions. After he quoted a very fair price for the treatment I needed, I had him do the work. No pressure or upsell. Since it was just done, I cannot evaluate long-time effects. But I feel like these people really care, and I won't hesitate to call them in the future. read more

This review is long overdue. Grab a chair and sit down. We own a mid century modern home with difficult crawl spaces in Crestview in a neighborhood notorious for rats. We started out with rats getting in the kitchen, so we hired J&J and Sean did most of our work. We paid the fees(1K?) to enclose the house up. Which worked, but then we moved for a short term job and the back two bedrooms were not uninhabited and we rented our place out as an Airbnb short term lease. Our renter reported multiple rats running all through the inside of the house at night. So instead of J&J suggesting we look at the back two bedrooms to see if the rats were getting in from those rooms J&J suggested we pull up the original wood flooring and demolish our exterior brick wall because we had to do a smoke test to see if the rats were getting in through the plumbing. Another thousand dollars later to the plumber and two holes in the house later they determine that the rats aren't getting in through the pipes! Hmmm maybe we should've looked at the two back bedrooms before demolishing the house?! Upon opening those two bedroom doors they found the problem areas! Let's just say the rats were having a party in there! We had to have the rooms cleaned by a hazardous waste company, set up hepa air filters to get rid of the urine and poop smells, had to get rid of thousands of dollars of belongings including beds, shoes, clothing, you name it, etc..because they were saturated with waste and chewed on! When we left for our short term travel job we told Sean to let us know if he needed into those rooms because we had them locked up with our belongings in there to keep secure from our renter. Sean knew if he wanted access all he had to do was ask and we would get him the key. It was very hard managing this from 1K miles away! No one from J&J took ownership of this problem! I involved Monica and still no help. No one had any answers as to how our rat problem got so out of hand while we had "active" services through J&J the whole time! No one was organized and kept track of what was going on and how to fix it! So guess what?! We got a few pest controls of our own in the form of two cats and we have not seen the rats since. The obvious not hidden at all hole in the baseboard of the back bedroom was repaired by J&J and we have not seen rats since. We still are out several thousand dollars and still have two holes in our house from the whole fiasco because we have to save up enough money for the repairs that were unnecessary. DO NOT use them if you have a serious rat problem or an older home that is difficult to manage pests. read more
