I've had a great experience with Atex and highly recommend their annual subscription service. Over the past several visits, Doug G, Carlos R, and Jeffrey R have each come to my home for either quarterly maintenance or targeted treatments, and they've all been professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. One thing I really appreciated was that they identified a honey bee colony on my property. Instead of simply treating it, they let me know so I could have the bees safely rehomed before they started producing honey inside my walls. That level of care and attention really stood out. The quarterly exterior treatments have been well worth it for me. Wasps and ants are a recurring issue around my home, so keeping up with regular service has made a big difference. If I have a specific problem between visits, like a wasp nest, they're quick to come out and take care of it. Most of what I need is included in the annual service. Mosquito treatment is an additional charge, but that's separate from the standard plan. I also appreciate that they don't push unnecessary interior treatments when there aren't any issues. Their pricing is competitive, and their payment and scheduling system is excellent. It's easy to manage appointments, and they're very responsive by text whenever I have a question or need service. We did a termite treatment as we found termites at our property line and it was reasonably priced and the tech was great.

I thought I had a critter in my attic. The guy from A-Tex quoted me $2700 to bring a trap and to screen off the vents. Sounds like a plan, right? Well, he told me none of my vents were screened, told me all the covers on my less than year old home were plastic. Fortunately I had my home inspection for my 1-yr warranty the following week so I decided to wait to see what the inspector said so I could have the builder cure anything possible. Absolutely zero evidence of anything having been in my attic, zero entry points. Inspector confirmed the covers on the vents are metal and not plastic and that every single vent is already screened. I'm not sure what the guy from A-Tex saw but I trust my inspector more. Just to be safe I had another estimate from a pest company done and they confirmed what my inspector said. Very disappointed and confused about what feels now like a scare tactic with this company. I've never experienced a critter situation before so I felt trusting but now I know to get a second opinion for stuff like this always. I'm sure they help people but my personal experience will keep me from considering them again in the future. read more

We used A-Tex for 12 years they did quarterly service and came in our house at least once a year but did not identify a termite infestation which caused us to have to replace our entire floor. They also never offered us termite coverage as a separate product. We had two contractors come in and tell us we had termites and then their termite expert came in and told us there were no termites and we had to go back and show him live termites. We haven't completely eradicated our raccoon issues, but we're working on it. A-Tex has ALWAYS been responsive and SUPER friendly, from the scheduling crew to the guys who come out to pick up the critters and install the exclusions. A special shout-out to Ken and Chris, who have always managed to come out when I need them. They do not remediate the damage, repair roofs, cut into walls, soffits, etc, but their staff will do what it takes to exclude. They aren't in the roofing or carpentry business, so you will need contractors to tackle that. Yes, some companies will remediate and do everything, but you will not find a better exclusion company than A-Tex. Our agreement with A-Tex includes a 1-year warranty with an option to extend if needed. So you can be sure they will take care of you when you need them. read more

We've used A-Tex Pest Management over the years and they've always been responsive, courteous, and effective. We've been lucky enough to see great success with single treatments, but they do offer regular maintenance plans, which make the individual treatments even more affordable. On our last visit, the technician went beyond our expectations. He took the time to listen to our concerns, answered questions about safety for our new pet, and thoroughly and carefully examined the exterior of our home and removed any sign of wasps or nests (including on our high soffits, fences and playscape). We didnt have termites but there were swarmers. Ricky suggested to do termite prevention treatment to avoid any infestations in future. When some strong-armed critter loudly ripped off the vent to my chimney one night and moved in behind my fireplace, I called A-Tex (because they had good reviews). They responded quickly and set up a plan, and within a few days we'd captured the culprit, a large raccoon, who I believe now resides near Taylor, Texas. The next day we caught an opossum who was also relocated, though they are welcome in my yard--not in my house. A-Tex promptly repaired and secured my chimney. Had a problem with rodents under my deck and had bait traps installed which quickly did the job getting rid of them. However, after a few months of no activity wanted to stop and get these ugly things out of the yard since put in a new deck and sealed everything and had no activity. However, that is when they told me that when I asked them to put the bait in I agreed to a 12-month installation and have to pay for it for the next 8 months even though no sign of rodents! The tech never mentioned that when he told me monthly price and put the bait out so I would make sure you read all the small type on any work order because they are deceptive. Way too expensive - just buy the same thing at Lowes and put them out yourself if you don't want to pay for 10 months of traps when you have no rodents. read more

I particularly want to highly praise Technician Hector, who is not only a very caring and kind and considerate gentleman, but did a wonderful job removing in one treatment a horrific infestation of bugs that came in a bag of Purina cat food purchased at Petsmart. This infestation cost me to loose at least $2,000 in food and other products. I did everything possible to rid these bugs with no success. One treatment by Hector and all gone. We had to find a company to help seal up our attics and catch/dispose of the roof rats that has decided to become permanent squatters at our home. Gross. Our pest company came twice but could not do anything so we found A-Tex through Yelp - yay! We needed rodent exclusion, which our company didn't offer. A-Tex offered it (as well as the full pest control options that other companies do). We have spoken and worked with Joe (over the phone) and Ken (who has come 3x). I am beyond impressed. They have been so incredibly thorough and meticulous. Something that is truly appreciated when working on issues like this. Ken has been amazing. So respectful and considerate. He wore booties only in areas where the rats were and took them off to not track anything into our home. I'm just so impressed overall with everything this company has done and how they've treated us and our problems. They also provided a 1 year warranty in case this happens again.
