One thing I really appreciated was that they identified a honey bee colony on my property. Instead of simply treating it, they let me know so I could have the bees safely rehomed before they started producing honey inside my walls. That level of care and attention really stood out. The quarterly exterior treatments have been well worth it for me. Wasps and ants are a recurring issue around my home, so keeping up with regular service has made a big difference. If I have a specific problem between visits, like a wasp nest, they're quick to come out and take care of it. Most of what I need is included in the annual service. Mosquito treatment is an additional charge, but that's separate from the standard plan. I also appreciate that they don't push unnecessary interior treatments when there aren't any issues. Their pricing is competitive, and their payment and scheduling system is excellent. It's easy to manage appointments, and they're very responsive by text whenever I have a question or need service. They then don't allow you to cancel, all while incentivizing you to repeatedly leave five-star reviews... despite arguably deceptive business practices and a product that (for me) does not work. Sorry this is long, I'm still mad lol. We hesitantly signed up for their services, since we live in an area with a lot of mosquitos. I told the customer representative I would only sign up if the contractual cancellation fee (which is ridiculously high by the way [like 80% of the rest of your contract... so potentially hundreds of dollars... what a joke]) was replaced with a "trial period." He agreed, but then sent me a contract that included (1) much higher prices than we agreed, and (2) the cancellation fee that he told me he'd remove. I can't say FOR SURE that he was just hoping I wouldn't read the contract... but I can pretty confidently say what happened later was intentional. After a few treatments, the number of mosquitos did not go down at all. I canceled, but another rep called and convinced me to extend my trial period because apparently you need even more treatments in a row for it to work (of course they never told me this before). I foolishly fell for it, and the number of mosquitos remained high. We canceled again, this time apparently successfully. Then I got another charge four months later. I called to dispute and remind them I terminated my contract. The reps told me they were rejecting my cancellation and that I would have to pay a $400+ cancellation fee. (Their reasoning: the lady pulled up the e-mail she sent extending the trial period, which said Barefoot would do one more treatment and install "mosquito traps"--if I still wasn't happy, I could cancel with no fee. Now, four months after I had cancelled, she tells me that the technician actually forgot to put up the traps, so I'm technically not allowed to cancel. She then implied my "trial period" never existed in the first place, despite her being the one who extended it [twice].) She somehow maintained that position with me--I wish I could say with a straight face, but we were on the phone--only until I sent proof. After I poured over the entire contract, collected screenshots/e-mails/telephone call records of previous conversations, and drafted a needlessly long e-mail did they finally let me go. To me, it seemed likely that they were counting on me being someone who would rather pay a couple hundred bucks than pour over a contract and collect evidence. Too bad for them I was really pissed off, bored, and still in a fair amount of law school debt. ((I must note that I got an apology phone call to their credit, though she blames it on the cancellation fee waiver being at the bottom of the contract? makes no sense.)) Reading the other reviews, it seems like a lot of other people have similar issues. The problem is the workers themselves (i.e., the people who actually provide the mosquito sprays) are very friendly, and ask you to give them a 5-star review every single time they spray, and give you a discount if you do so. Obvious inflationary reviewing bullcrud. Sad! Let's all just invest in some big ass fans instead.

The employee once again was unable to tell me what happened & said there were no notes on my account explaining the issue I had been having or stating why they were unable to bill the card on file. The repaired area matched the older surface exactly. I could not be happier with the project. It took a few days and was not cheap but I feel I got value for the money and a quality product. I have used the handyman service several times and have never been disappointed . They really stepped up when no one else did. Don't overlook ABC when you have a unique project. They have a lot of experience in many types of services and a one year warranty. I recommend them highly.

When we submitted a service request, a technician came out and determined that a part needed to be replaced. A follow-up appointment was scheduled, but it was canceled the morning of the appointment. No one contacted us to reschedule, and I had to follow up myself. It ultimately took about a month and a half for a technician to return, only for them to determine that an additional component was broken. We were then told that this issue had likely developed because the original problem had gone unresolved for so long. After another delay, they finally returned and completed the repair. I paid the invoice and believed the matter was resolved. The technician specifically told me that no charges would be due until the work was completed, and when I asked whether the payment covered everything, he confirmed that it did. That is why it was so surprising to later be contacted and told that we owed additional money. The most disappointing part of this experience was the management team. Joel, the HVAC manager in particular, was rude, dismissive, and unwilling to help resolve the situation. Multiple times I was told that Joel would call me, yet weeks would pass without any follow-up. The last time I was told to expect a call, he never contacted me at all. To make matters worse, everything should have been covered under warranty. Unfortunately, that warranty feels nearly meaningless when the labor charges are so excessive. From the repeated scheduling issues and lengthy delays to the unexpected additional charges and poor customer service, this has been an extremely frustrating experience. Based on how this situation was handled, I cannot recommend ABC HVAC.

Never a contract, just treatment that works. The ant and roach treatment included followups for a period of time if needed, and I think I had them do a second application for the ants. They have my loyalty for life after getting rid of those roaches as fast as they did. If you are a DIY type, they will suggest things you can do to prevent problems going forward.

We had been finding carpenter ants (started out with 30-50 a day, including winged ants) throughout our house with no obvious trail or idea where they were coming from. He believed the problem was external so he only did a perimeter spray. I was warned that it can take 30 days for the poison to be brought back to nest and wipe them out. It has been nearly 30 days and the problem has continued to get worse. I reached out multiple times and expressed my concern of a satalite nest inside the home somewhere but have just been told to wait 30 days. We were out of town for 36 hours and came home to 90 live ants throughout the house (this was 19 days after treatment). After that, we ended up contacting another pest control service to come out. They were WAY more thorough and seemed more invested in helping solve our problem. They searched inside our home and attic which Aztec did not do.
