After cancelling my last 3 appointments with Bulwark and clearly stating that we would call back to reschedule once our schedules were more predictable, they still showed up at our house today with absolutely no appointment scheduled. Normally they send a very last minute notification right before arriving, which is already frustrating and not enough time to prepare, but today there was no notice at all. Our dogs were not put away and suddenly there was a stranger in our backyard unannounced. Thankfully we were home because our dogs could have gotten out or potentially harmed the technician. We've used Bulwark for over 10 years and always had a great experience but Jonathan R treated our home today and went above and beyond. He literally power washed our trash cans bc we couldn't be bothered to apparently and had a maggot farm inside of them. He treated that and tackled a huge wasp nest in our pool toy box, which barely even qualifies as part of the house and yard. All of this was in between our regular service and cost an extra $0. April 14: Update after Bulwark replied to this review. I received three follow up phone calls after I declined the service, not one call. The last one was two days ago. That's three calls too many. ~*~ If you enjoy receiving phone calls every day about a service you have already declined, this is the company for you. I reached out to four companies via Yelp for quotes for a termite inspection. 3 out of the 4 companies replied with an actual quote. Bulwark had to speak to me to give me a quote. They then proceeded to call me every day for several days, wanting to find out if I was hiring them. I had already written them declining the service and asking that they take me off their list. When I spoke with him and told him how I am experiencing financial hardship and could not afford to pay my bill at this time, HE LAUGHED at me. Just awful. Not your best choice. They tried to charge me $500 to spray my yard for fleas at one property. And $98 for the same service at an adjacent property. Then I spent literally hours on the phone trying to clear it up. Then I asked for a respray 30 days later and they never came out. I have been busy at work and didn't realize they never came. So I called today and now they say I am 10 days past the 60 day warranty. I have texts with their technician showing I asked for a respray 30 days out. But their scheduler couldn't get that into his understanding. What a waste of time. I don't like pest control but I do use it for yard flea treatment when they get bad. Which is now. So I call them again to see why they never came back out and now they want to charge me again. I was on the phone with 4 different people in 20 minutes. Doesn't really need to be that complicated. Taking my business to a more reliable company. This one feels scammy. *** No this was never "cleared up". Scorpion and general pest control.... yeah.... they used to be a great company, used them for over 20 years. The past three visits, they show up about 5 minutes before the end of the service window, notify us about ten minutes before arrival. Not acceptable. Called to cancel, got argued with about how it was MY issue. Ok, fine, I'm paying, cancel my account...still wants to talk and talk me out of it. Really? Which part of cancel our service do you not understand, I spend a majority of my Saturday waiting for you to show up, and you have an issue with me cancelling?? Give me a break. read more

We moved into a new home that had been using Bulwark. Since the home had been vacant for about 30 days and seemed to be mostly bug-free, we decided to continue service. We have not been let down. I waited to write this review because I was giving them time to update the website. The website says "Everything we use is both pet and people-friendly; derived from natural chrysanthemum flowers yet very effective at exterminating the pests that you are seeing. They are less toxic than toothpaste" and on the phone I was told it was a product called CK-cick CS however when the tech showed up he was spraying "PT alpine" which I looked up, it's toxic and says "vacate area and do not re-occupy until dry" it also says "In the home, cover or remove exposed food in the treatment area prior to application. "- The is from the SDS sheet on PT alpines website. But the tech started spaying it all over the molding and windows while we were in the house. Once I realized this I asked him to stop the remainder of the service and only treat the yard. The person on the phone who followed up with me the next day was helpful and gave me some money back as it was only a partial treatment. I recommended them to update their misleading claims on the website but they haven't yet. I was also told by the tech they don't even carry CK-cicks anymore. I'll remove this review once they update the website so other people seeking non-toxic treatment aren't mislead. read more

For my latest service, Technician Omar Castro came out promptly with a message beforehand to make sure we were aware. Upon arrival, he addressed my questions and sprayed inside and outside as requested, and replaced glue traps. I cancelled my services with them, been struggling with worms for the past 10 months, they keep on coming to "treat" them, yet my grass died and I had to re-seed my entire lawn. When complained again about worms and requested evidence of what products were used, they informed that worms are not treated (yet they charged me every time!). On top of that, the "quaterly billing" is happenig sooner every time, they charged me twice in the same quarter and still try to collect the 5th Q in the year (I wish I got paid 15 months a year!!) read more
