DPM is a well-run local business we hired to do a pre-emptive spraying of a house to prevent the creepy-crawlies from getting a six-legged foot in the door. They responded promptly to a request for a quote and scheduled us right away. Kudos for showing up on time, doing a thorough inspection inside and out, and explaining how their substances are people-and-pet friendly. I did have to ask on four separate occasions if they took credit card before they finally answered me. (I'll save you the four-question run-around and tell you: YES.) These guys are rockstars! We wanted to get a termite inspection for the home we are purchasing. Jake let me know that if I don't need/want the written report, he could swing by and do the inspection for free. For free?!? I suspiciously asked if this would be a thorough inspection or was this just a way to sell us pest control. He laughed And told me that it is the same inspection, he just won't charge, since he doesn't have to do the paper report and it only takes 20-30 minutes. I nervously booked him. I am delighted to report that they were on time, thorough, knowledgeable and true to their word. We didn't pay a single penny. He worked with a partner, one outside and one in. He picked up on the same leak issue in the master bath shower stall that was barely noticable to the naked eye, but our home inspector had also found. Termites love wet wood, apparently. Luckily, he did not find any. He even gave me some tips on cleaning grout when I pointed out how dirty it was. He recommended that we cut a tree back that was touching the house, but that was it. Never tried to sell me a thing. This is a good, honest guy that won't try to rip you off. If we ever nees pest services, we know who we will be calling. read more

We have only had our first quarterly service with Jake, but the difference is clear already. He showed up promptly and on time, even texting us the day before he planned on being there. He explained to my husband that because it was raining he would need to come back to do the outside of our house. I meant to follow up with him a week or so later, but before I could he texted that he would be in the next day to treat the outside. Even left a note letting us know he had been there and done the treatment. Since then, we've seen a few dead cockroaches in the garage, so it seems to be working. We had mice coming in through our attic to the second story floor. I set an appointment with another company but they could not come out for another week and said they would stop in the following week to check the traps. I hated the thought of a mice being dead for a week and the stink that goes with it. Plus I was having company coming to town and needed this ASAP. I then ran across the reviews for Defense Pest Management, made the call, Jake &Trevor came out the next day. I think they did an exceptional job, they not only set the traps in the house & the attic, they found the place the mice were coming in at and sealed that hole. Then went around the house sealing up any other cracks and crevices, put wire mesh in the weep holes. We had down spout that we ran underground that drained the rain water out past our yard into our pasture, in the past I had heard critters climbing inside of it, they put on the end of it a fixture to where the water drains out but no pest can get in. They then came out two more times to check the traps and remove anything they found. We also had them dust our upstairs attic cause there have been wasp up there too. Then we got a bonus, our bedroom has always been cold, so we have a heater in there and have used it when it is in the lower 50's and below. After they sealed up all the cracks and crevices, it has gotten down to 39° 3 times now and we have not had to use that heater, not one time. These are two of nicest guys you will meet. With all the rains we have had this year, I'm thinking the mosquitos will be bad, I remember last year we had mosquitos nesting right by our laundry room door and every time you went out they came in. I'm planning on calling Defense Pest Management out to spray for mosquitos too. Great job guys!!! read more
