Long story short: Cody is awesome. If you have pest needs he's your guy. In the two years I've been a homeowner, I've come to rely on finding local services through Yelp. Generally it does a good job of connecting me with well-reviewed pros who are good at their jobs. That being said, I've had a lot of trouble getting many pros to shoot it straight with me. Recently, I needed to evict a raccoon from my attic. You'd think that would be fairly straightforward and routine - I did a bit of poking around and some online research and realized I really just needed help setting up a simple one-way door trap. Yelp connected me with five pest control companies (all rated higher than 4 stars) - of those, only two would give me an upfront quote without the song and dance of a free in-person assessment (by the time you've had an appointment with a pro at your house I find it's hard to decline to work with them). Of those two quotes, one required several back and forths before I finally received a really expensive estimate. When I asked Cody he straightforwardly quoted me a very fair price for the service and honored that price. Cody was able to schedule me in for the following week after I called, showed up on time, and never tried to upsell me. I had a fair few questions and he was super kind to answer all of them and let me in on some of his expertise. Although another pro might have tried to convince me to replace all my soffit, Cody gave me his professional opinion of the area that most needed work and gave me some pointers for how I might DIY it. I've had to call Cody a couple of times. Last summer we had a fire ant problem inside the house that we couldn't maintain. He came over and sprayed our downstairs area. He told me all the things about why we weren't able to get rid of them and educated me on the things that really help which isn't anything that we'll be able to get at Lowes or Home Depot. We haven't had an issue since he came to spray over a year ago. Yesterday, he came over within about an hour/hour and a half of me texting him, that we found roaches in a new to use piece of furniture we had bought. My husband had already left for work. Cody helped me carry it out to the garage and sprayed it down for me. As he sprayed it, he pointed out to me the different evolutions of the roaches and which ones had sacs on them and how many the sacs could carry. There were quite a few roaches coming running as he sprayed. He left me with a few products to use on this furniture piece if we wanted more peace of mind. I reached out to Peach Pest Control a few weeks ago after my husband and I realized a hole in our siding had widened rapidly and insulation was being pulled out of it. We were absolutely certain mice or rats were involved/invading our house. Cody was quick to respond and I was able to set up an appt for him to come out a day later. My husband ultimately handled the appointment and he was very pleased with how it went. He said that Cody arrived on time and spent a good amount of time not only looking at the hole, getting into our absurdly small attic, but also walking the entire house to check for entry points. He said Cody was friendly and very informative. He ultimately determined that we did NOT have rats/mice IN the house but put paper towels in the hole and instructed us to check it immediately the next morning. He then provided instructions on what to do based on whether the paper towels came out of not. If it did, he asked that we notify him so that he could come out and put out traps, and if not, to patch the siding the best we could and immediately get someone out to patch it professionally. He did all of this as courtesy, which was very, very much appreciated. Investing in a potential customer instead of trying to make a quick buck will always be a smart business model in my opinion. I contacted Peach Pest Control about 6 months ago to help with squirrels in the crawlspace under the roof. He came out to give me an estimate (which was very reasonable) and did the work right then. He installed a one-way door where the squirrels were getting in. They could get out but not in. There were no dead squirrels to deal with. I like that he didn't try and upsell me with a monthly maintenance fee (as another company did). He was friendly, knowledgeable and explained everything. I like that this is a local small business.
