We were in desperate need to find the right service to tackle our ant problem! Upon searching around all the reviews I decided to go with a smaller business, and I'm so happy that I did! Steve, the owner is very knowledgeable and thorough on his work that he does. He asked lots of questions to make sure he knew exactly what to do. They have a guarantee that if you see anymore ants after the two weeks to contact them and they will be out to spray again! Fantastic customer service! Thanks!! read more

Steve and Pest and Pool Wranglers has serviced my house since I have owned it. Hiring them as pest control has been the best decision. They are very responsive and reasonably priced. Plus they give you a guarantee and will help you through any additional problems. read more

I reached out today because I have had concerns with our service for weeks now, but today I just needed to voice my frustration over the situation. The response I received from the owner, Steve, was shocking to say the least. I myself am a business owner that deals with customer service on a daily basis. I will admit that there are certain complaints that I may not necessarily agree with, but I always listen and validate my customers concerns with dignity and respect. The vacuum just stopped working Sunday, so not the absolute problem. Ariel I appreciate you contacting us about this, but you went from "considering" to canceling" in the same email without giving us a chance to explain.  First, that you for your business in the past and changing companies is obviously your decision to make. Blake is an excellent tech and does not take short cuts like skipping chemical measurement. We don't charge for the amount of time spent at a pool. Rather we charge for the job. Sometimes it takes 30 minutes to an hour, but more often it tale 10-15 minutes provided the pool has been properly maintained previously. Filter pressure varies by filter type as well as how dirty/clean the filter is. While your filter may read 10 directly after a cleaning the pressure will rise as the filter collects contaminents.  The presence of algae would suggest that it is time for a filter cleaning, but it could also be the result of less than optimal circulation. As Blake is paid extra for filter cleaning I am certain he would jump at the chance to make extra money by cleaning yours if needed. You mentioned your pool sweeper is broken and that is a pivotal component of pool maintenance as it not only scrubs walls and steps between services it also helps circulate water especially from the floor of the pool.  Unless we hear otherwise from you we will stop your pool service at end of day today. All the best! Steve Hunt This is an unexpected response from a business owner as I am one myself. Your response gives the tone that none of our complaints are valid and that we are in the wrong and need to not voice our concerns. Very eye opening to why the pool service is lacking professionalism.  Sent from Yahoo Mail for iPhone Sorry you feel that way, but I'm not sure what you want to hear. I read your concerns and addressed them. I am not sorry that my technician did his job and you did not heed the advice given not only by Blake, but by me as well, to keep toys out of the pool when it is not in use because it might damage your vacuum. Now your vacuum is broken and you are blaming us for your pool not getting the proper cleaning that the vacuum should handle. If you cowtow to your customers for the sake of a dollar that is your business. I'm backing my people when they have done nothing wrong. We have great reviews that state clearly how well we do our jobs. I have canceled your pest service as well.  Steve Hunt On a side note, a simple amicable response validating my concerns, without accusatory and disrespectful behavior would have gone a long way. I don't know exactly what the comment about catering to customers for a dollar is supposed to reference as I never brought up any concerns about money.  All I was hoping to do was inform you about concerns I had with my service.  That was an incredibly quick jump to being hateful. I'm not sure where that came from as we have always been able to communicate well together, but all is well.  Wish you all the best and hope your day gets better.  Ariel There is no hostility. I hold no grudge. You are free to spend your money where you choose just not with us with the exception of your April invoice which is still outstanding and will have a late charge added to it if not paid by the end of the month.  When you write your review be sure to include the part where I explained the situation, but that wasnt good enough for you because I will in my response. Further, be sure to review your pool service as you have had no issues with pest control. Otherwise I will be forced to contact the review service to have the review removed. Enjoy the rest of your week. -- All the best! Steve Hunt read more

Moved here from Seattle, no big bugs like y'all have here in Texas. Channing who set the appointment, calmed me down and sent Blake right over. He walked me through what he was doing, got rid of the bugs and nests of hornets and was so kind. I haven't quit talking about this company- great price, got the job done quickly and GREAT people. read more

Pest Wranglers is a great company! They've been consistently taking care of our pest control needs for more than a year now and we've always been super happy with their services. If you need extra work done in between visits, they are quick to respond. Thank you Pest Wranglers! read more

My experience with Pest Wranglers was far from stellar. My tenants let me know that when Pest Wranglers came out to take care of my yard, they were only there for 10 minutes before leaving. I requested before and after pictures since I was not there at the property and Steve was offended by my asking nicely. I'm not sure what reason my tenant would have for lying about the yard not being taken care of but I digress. When I addressed my concerns to Steve I was met with sarcasm, snark, threats of involving lawyers and name calling which was far from appreciated. The business is misogynistic when things don't go their way, they are quick to insult and result to juvenile behavior. read more

I heard a critter in my attic and decided to call Steve Hunt from Pest Wranglers. I have known Mr. Hunt over 25 years! He is a resident of Round Rock. Steve came out the next day to do a thorough inspection and access the damage. He took 4 pictures of openings around my 2 story house that critters could come through. He forwarded his findings with pictures in an email. The office manager Channing contacted me the same day to schedule all the appointments for extermination and follow up. Steve assigned his technician, Kellie to seal the openings and set traps. Saying Kellie is great is an understatement. She came out the next day, and explained everything she was doing before she did it. She sealed the openings and set the traps Kellie came back 1 week later to check the traps and again the following week! No more critters! Ever visit Pest Wranglers performed was followed up with an email in my portal. The billing is detailed and thoroughly explained. I have been in the customer service business over 30 years! Pest Wranglers by far provides the best customer service I have ever experienced! I am very satisfied and recommend Steve and his crew from Pest Wranglers for all of your exterminating needs! read more

I can't believe I've never left a review for Pest Wranglers. We've been with them through two houses spanning 10 years. One in North Austin and now in Round Rock. Steve and his guys are like family. We've been through rats and ants. My wife likes that we're Steve has the same folks come out or himself. If you're considering pest control there is no better company. read more

The customer service at Pest Wranglers is second to none. Steve is my hero! When a rat chewed through the living room drywall in under an hour, he answered my panicky phone call at 9:30 pm on a Tuesday night. He calmly explained that rat was NOT trying to come inside, it was just confused by the warm winter we're having in Austin and was looking for food. In addition, apparently chewing helps rats dull their teeth. Steve told me what I could do right then to help give me some peace of mind, and made time in his schedule to come by the house within 36 hours. I live in a nice, older rent house that has had an unfortunate share of raccoons and rats living in the chimney. Steve is always thorough in his inspections and very up front about what he can and cannot do. There's no beating around the bush - if he can seal up an opening or set a trap, he does it. If it's a problem that simply cannot be fixed, he says so. Austin is home to a lot of critters, and Steve is very knowledgeable about their behavior. In the 2 years that we've lived here, Steve has successfully caught two raccoons and a possum, as well as solving stink bug and roach problems. I have high confidence in his strategy for dealing with current rat situation. Steve is also just the nicest guy. He's warm, friendly, and professional. He and his staff always dress sharply, show up when they say they will, and treat my roommates and me with the utmost respect. He explains as much as possible, answers all of our questions, and goes to great lengths to make us feel safe from critters. In short, Steve is great at handling pests AND reassuring his clients. As long as I live in Austin, I won't use anyone else for pest control. read more

Started to hear the pitter patter of something moving around in my attic. Me being the manly man I am, I immediately went to the internet to search for professional help. Steve opened the attic, in less than a second said, "Rats." Initially I thought he was disappointed because he didn't find anything, but he literally meant, rats. He blocked off the entries/exits and set a few traps. We have found two rats (so far) that led good lives while living rent free in my humble abode. Unfortunately, due to their unwillingness to pay rent, the eviction process was probably not to their liking. I digress, Steve has been great, trustworthy and timely. I will use him for any future (hopefully those rat bastards learn their lesson) encounters with pests. Come to think of it, do you do anything for ex girlfriends? :) read more

I called the Pest Wranglers the day I arrived in Austin. being a California girl, I was unnacustomed to the ginormous roaches and other bugs. Steve Hunt become like my therapist during his visits about my spotting a new insect daily. I'm deathly afraid of tarantulas and freaked out when I saw one in my laundry room. I actually called him in tears. He came over the next day and calmed me down. (it came in a used dryer from the country). He convinced I didnt need to move. He does a great job, always brings biscuits for the dogs and always has time to hear my craziness about bugs. Now that I've been here 4 years, they bugs dont bother me as much, but maybe that's because Steve keeps them away. He's awesome read more

Had another pest company for years, they came out several times over a 6 month period to treat for ants and they could not solve the problem. I asked around to friends and family in the area about who they use for pest control, one name was said repeatedly, Steve from Pest Wranglers. I called Steve from Pest Wranglers, he came out (quickly) one time and the problem was solved! I immediately cancelled my other service and asked where I could sign up! Steve was not only extremely knowledge about the ants, he was friendly and helpful. Thank you Steve! I will gladly use your company for future services and refer all my friends and family that aren't already using your services. read more

Steven was exceptional in helping us with our concerns inside and outside the house. We will be using them again and would definitely recommend Pest Wranglers. read more

I have continued to use Pest Wranglers for the past six years since my first review and I continue to be "WOWed" by their knowledge, value and service. With their regular outside treatments, I almost never see any pests inside, but if there's ever any in between treatments, they come out for free. Recently, I called them late on a Friday afternoon with massive trail and invasion of Rover ants into our master bath that were all over our garden tub and countertops. Even though it was late on a Friday, Steve came over within 15-20 minutes and put out liquid bait and with a couple of hours they were no longer on the countertops and were taking the bait. By Saturday early morning, most were gone, and by mid-morning they were all gone. They have not returned. I still highly recommend Steve and his crew with Pest Wranglers!! read more

I just moved into a new house and found big ants lived in the walls. I called Pest Wranglers and talked to Steve...very knowledgeable and helpful. He knew what was I had with just a few questions, carpenter and acrobat ants. He explained how they work on destroying a house which is different from how termites do it. He came right away and did a search. I had taken some time beforehand to check my yard and property for where the ants were, which I think was helpful, but he found much more than I did. Three weeks later, dead ants are still dropping from the ceiling of my porch, so I'm glad to know it's still working. I'll definitely work with Pest Wranglers in the future. read more

Absolutely the best! Steve us fantastic. We've been with them, I think since pretty close to the beginning, and not only have we gotten incredible pest control, but also plenty of other advice/contacts for other work we need on our house. Whatever was sitting on top of my fireplace flue and scratching around every 20 mins. was driving my dogs (and me) nuts. I called several pest control places after 6 on Friday night. Steve Hunt, Pest Wrangler extraordinaire, called me back about 6:45. He listened and said he'd be glad to drop by for a (free) evaluation on Saturday. I said great, we'd be in the backyard spreading mulch. Steve shows up at the time he estimated. He looks and listens. All but crawls full body into the fireplace and says he's sure it's a bird. I figured that was the evaluation. Steve suggests we get an old pillow case. Steve holds it under the flue. I open the flue. Nothing happens. Steve says, "Oh. Big bird!" Then he calmly, gently reaches in and pulls the starling through the flue. He walks it through the kitchen and into the backyard. "How much do we owe you?" "Not a thing. Glad to do it!" And I could tell he meant that. Of course, Pest Wranglers focuses more on the bug pests. I completely recommend Pest Wranglers. read more

A small attic vent fell off of our house and a momma bird built a nest in our attic. We heard scratching in the attic and called Pest Wranglers. Steve was very responsive by email, and when he came out to look at the vent, he replied, "I do have a concern that [the birds] already have hatchlings in the nest and while we are a pest control company we hate killing things if we don't have to. If the technician arrives and finds that there are birds in the nest that are not able to survive if they are evicted would you be opposed to having us wait a few weeks before we evict?" Of course we don't mind! A few days later Cody found the nest and there were still fledglings in it, so we decided to wait a few more weeks to give the fledglings some time to leave the nest on their own. Weeks later, Steve emailed to let me know they would stop by and check on the fledglings: "The birds should be about ready to fly if they haven't already left the nest. We'll be out to check it out this week and we can give you a better idea after that." Once the nest was empty, Cody removed the nest, replaced the missing vent, and even treated an ant mound he noticed during his visit. Pest Wranglers is organized, communicative, kind to animals, and proactive -- we will definitely be using them again! read more

These guys are AMAZING!! A crafty raccoon decided to make my attic its home early last year. Cody came out and sealed everything up, making sure the critter was not still in residence. Then, when the first really cold snap hit in December, the raccoon found another way in. Cody came back out at NO CHARGE and sealed the entrance, along with finding some other possible access points and fixed those too. Even over the holidays, I received service multiple times. Great service, great guys, and all at an amazing price. I'll never use anyone else! read more

After much Yelp research, I settled on Pest Wranglers. And I can see why they get great reviews. Cody just left my house 15 minutes ago, and I'm already writing this review. He was fantastic - professional, thorough, and very personable. He asked a ton of questions to figure out what type of treatments were needed and explained everything he did around the house. He even gave me dog treats for my two mutts that wouldn't stop barking at him! When I asked him to hit down a tiny dead wasp nest, he apologized until his face was blue for missing it the first time, even though I kept telling him that it wasn't a big deal. This level of customer service is unheard of these days. I can't speak to the effectiveness of the treatments yet, since Cody told us to give it some time, but so far so good! read more

I met Steve in 2004 when he was still working for a big name company. I found him to be very thorough and always willing to go above and beyond to solve my problems. I had ants that just were not going away and he kept coming back and trying different things until we finally got them out! When he opened his own business I was first in line to sign up! He always listens and encourages me to send pictures if I have something I don't recognize. He is well informed and does the most amazing job. I have given his name to everyone I know if they are looking for a bug man, I will never use anyone else!!! I am truly blessed to know him!! read more

I've called them before and they have given me advices over the phone. I called this morning and talked to Steve and he sent Cody this afternoon to inspect around the house to check for a possible mice/rodent problem. Cody was very professional, on time, very helpful, and very honest. He gave us his expert evaluation/opinion and gave us a good estimate which was cheaper than what my neighbor paid another pest company. He didn't pressure us into making a quick decision and told us to call them if and when we're ready. I will definitely recommend them to friends, family and whoever needs a pest company. These guys are the best!!! He saw some ants on our driveway and even offered to kill them for me which I politely declined since they didn't even charge me for their trip today. read more

We have had service with Pest Wranglers almost 2 years now and we couldn't be more happier with their service!! Every time we have had an issue with pests we have received immediate action. This company is great!! We've used them a couple times now and all of their staff is so personable; from the woman who answers the phone to the technicians and the owner. The receptionist/office manager remembered us even though we only spoke once 5 months ago. The owner came out himself and treated our home today because we developed a roach problem as a result of a Keurig. (Side Note: Apparently it's very common for roaches to get inside coffee/espresso makers so keep an eye out people!!) He was quick, efficient, and very knowledgeable. We got some rad koozies and he gave our dogs treats even though they wouldn't stop barking at him. Definitely recommend Pest Wranglers. read more

Yes, yes, yes. These are the guys! Cody, the James Comey of the extermination world (that guy is tall and decent, one can tell!), is so nice, informative and thorough. He's very careful for my dogs, (we have four), and does a great job. He crawls into small hot places that nobody else will, even though he's like 6 foot 8! I used to use another pest control, and I have nothing bad to say about them at all, but I can only get Cody at Pest Wranglers. 10 stars if I could for keeping us all from getting stung, bit, or terrorized. I have a child here, and an elderly person, so keeping wasps away is paramount. Thank you, Cody!!! read more

If you need a pest control guy, Steve is your man. I used Steve at my previous home to get rid of our ant problem. He came out in a very timely manner and solved our ant problem. Recently I had him come out to my new house because we thought we had an invasion of termites but after investigation around my entire house, thankfully we were wrong. Steve made me aware that there could be a couple of potential problem areas , explained to me on what to be on the lookout for, all at no charge. #1 IN CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! These guys are the best. Very friendly, easy to schedule , and quick to respond. I highly recommend talking to Steve with Pest Wranglers!! read more

Good service companies are hard to find in Texas, which is why Pest Wranglers is such a breath of fresh air. They gave a thorough explanation and breakdown of their services before we even asked them to show up. The "other guys" we shopped around for were terse, quick to get off the phone, and pretty uncaring. Pest Wranglers on the other hand, were very light on any upselling, and they made us feel like they wanted our business from the get go. A guy named Cody shows up, and is probably the most courteous, professional, knowledgeable and friendly service tech of any kind I've seen here. In the 103 index heat, Cody treats our front, and back(massive) yard for fire ants and other pests we've seen crawling around, pausing in between to explain to us exactly what he is doing and why. He then efficiently treated the inside and had our paperwork done, all in less than an hour. This is the kind of company that I'm more than happy to give my hard earned cash to. Professionals in the truest sense of the word. With a 60 day no-hassle guarantee on the work, and stellar customer service, they are definitely the best around.... read more

So glad I stumbled on to Steve and Pest Wranglers. I was having a nasty wasp issue to the level of getting swarmed daily. I called several other places all of whom hemmed and hawed about wasps and how tricky they were to eliminate. But when I spoke to Steve he evaluated what was going on and applied a treatment to my condo and 36 hours later I had ZERO wasp issues for the rest of the year. I just rehired him to preemptively treat it again heading into this next summer and he was as helpful as last time. HIGHLY recommend!!!!! read more

Please understand that these guys did not perform any services. This company actually provides genuine customer service and cares about their customers to the point that they would rather save their clients money vs. catching a quick buck. We thought we were having another dead caucus episode in our small attic. HIs team came out the next day and did a full blow inspection of the property (including the neighbor attached to my wall ) duplex and pointed out where rodents were getting in as they admitted they were having issues as well. At the end of his visit, he could have charged us a few hundred to lock down a few areas, but we informed him that we will be seling this property in the next few months. He informed us that he would not make that type of investment and to save our money and to keep in mind when we move. Again, building trust First will always get you more down the road. I wanted to point to his team, that he has not clue but, he has earned my pest control business for many years to come. Thank you for all of the time you spent with us and for not taking advantage of our situation. read more

This company is the worst pest control company I have ever had to deal with. There is never a quick response to my questions and they never have open availability.
