Upon our return to town, I contacted the company to get a report on traps set and any rats found as no traps were visible at any point. They scheduled a follow up visit bt failed to show up. After multiple phone calls to find out what happened, they finally told me that they had been in a wreck and their truck was damaged. When they wanted to reschedule after no contact for close to two weeks, i told them to get lost. I do not believe any work beyond the initial inspection was ever attempted, let alone completed.

The response I received from the owner, Steve, was shocking to say the least. I myself am a business owner that deals with customer service on a daily basis. I will admit that there are certain complaints that I may not necessarily agree with, but I always listen and validate my customers concerns with dignity and respect. The vacuum just stopped working Sunday, so not the absolute problem. Ariel I appreciate you contacting us about this, but you went from "considering" to canceling" in the same email without giving us a chance to explain.  First, that you for your business in the past and changing companies is obviously your decision to make. Blake is an excellent tech and does not take short cuts like skipping chemical measurement. We don't charge for the amount of time spent at a pool. Rather we charge for the job. Sometimes it takes 30 minutes to an hour, but more often it tale 10-15 minutes provided the pool has been properly maintained previously. Filter pressure varies by filter type as well as how dirty/clean the filter is. While your filter may read 10 directly after a cleaning the pressure will rise as the filter collects contaminents.  The presence of algae would suggest that it is time for a filter cleaning, but it could also be the result of less than optimal circulation. As Blake is paid extra for filter cleaning I am certain he would jump at the chance to make extra money by cleaning yours if needed. You mentioned your pool sweeper is broken and that is a pivotal component of pool maintenance as it not only scrubs walls and steps between services it also helps circulate water especially from the floor of the pool.  Unless we hear otherwise from you we will stop your pool service at end of day today. I am not sorry that my technician did his job and you did not heed the advice given not only by Blake, but by me as well, to keep toys out of the pool when it is not in use because it might damage your vacuum. If you cowtow to your customers for the sake of a dollar that is your business. I'm backing my people when they have done nothing wrong. I needed them to take care of some German cockroaches who came in from a houseguest's things. It's a special treatment needed and not like regular pest control. I think the cost was about $350. They've come back 3 times so far every two weeks.The cycle for roaches is that quick and some of the treatment is to use the gel to bait them and they go back to the nest with it and it makes them sterile. I hope we are finally successful now in getting rid of these bugs. The tech treated on the first visit all around the perimeter of the house and then came inside and sprayed in the main areas where they were and also put gel and boric acid in strategically placed areas like the kitchen outlets and underneath kitchen appliances. It's been over a month now and all I've found are dead roaches. I have cats, so they were put in a bedroom away from the spray for several hours just to make sure everything had dried and the air was clear. The multiple treatments appears to be successful but those roaches are sneaky. I cleaned out all the bottom cabinets and washed everything and put small appliances out on the deck for 24 hours in case they were hiding in there. They will come back again if needed as part of the treatment if needed but it'll be to add gel and boric acid and not anymore spray. I think it's for two months guarantee and then it'd be a regular treatment overall at the quarterly treatment. No contract was needed. The technician has been very accommodating and informative about what was being used. I'm pleased with it and well worth it to call in the professionals for this. Roaches crawling over who knows what is so disgusting and my sprays and traps weren't doing the job properly. It gives me peace of mind to know that bugs haven't been near where food is for us or the animals.
