Beny's has done great work for me. I was not thrilled with sending out an estimator who quoted way too much for what I wanted done. We came to the conclusion that he misunderstood what I needed. Even though the price was higher than before I said ok. The girl doing the booking got my address wrong even after correcting it, they did get it right when I double checked. I'll start by saying that their actual tree trimming work was OK, but I don't actually know because what I had requested never happened. I had called and scheduled for an ISA certified arborist to come and give an estimate and start service if I agreed to the quote. I had indicated maybe 5-6 times on the phone when making the appointment that I wanted an ISA certified arborist to come out. I had specific questions about some trees, and I wanted some opinions on how best to manage them. Well, that time came and went and after calling the office there was a "system glitch" which is why they didn't come out that day. The arborist gave me a call shortly after and asked me to send them pictures of the trees that needed work, so I did, they called me back a bit later and gave me a verbal quote. They said the quote was going to be higher than just tree trimming crews because of the expertise of the arborist, well yeah... that's what I wanted and I understood that. I did my research and reached out specifically to this company for that reason. The next day the crew shows up, no ISA certified arborist in sight, just a tree trimming crew. I talk to the arborist on the phone, he said he "What are you expecting me to do, come out and tell them what cuts to make"... well yeah. That's exactly what I was expecting, or at the very least come out and look at the trees and address my questions. I ended up agreeing to them starting work under duress, with a full crew fully unloaded and starting up chainsaws under the guise of you don't pay until you're happy. The arborist to my knowledge never stepped foot on my property. He said he did, but he didn't knock or make himself known and one of our trees is in our backyard and we have dogs, so I doubt he went back there. My questions were never addressed as the crew leader didn't speak good English so I couldn't get my questions answered about the trees or even indicate where I wanted them to look at the storm damage. If you're looking for a normal tree trimming service, then yeah I guess they'll do a decent job. If you're looking for someone with a certified ISA arborist, then in my opinion it's for show only and to tack on an extra $500 arborist fee. read more

Another great job by Benys! This time, I had four huge branches that broke in the ice storm that were stuck really high up in a tall tree and were puncturing the fence. The crew knocked it out in a little over an hour at a very fair price. I'll be calling them again next time I need help with my trees. read more

I had trees branches starting to touch my roof and two large 60 feet tall oak trees growing into my gutters and beginning to damage my back porch, iIrequested an estimate and they were the next day and here the day after that to provide roof clearance and remove the two trees. All debris was removed and at a very reasonable price. Would absolutely recommend them. read more

Manuel, Francisco, Walter and Tello (spelling?) did a great job on the 5 trees on my property. They heavily trimmed a sycamore tree and an oak tree that were in bad shape due to neglect over the years by previous homeowners. They also trimmed two yaks in the backyard and removed an oak since the trees were too close together and competing for space. They did a great job, cleaned up well, sprayed the cuts on the oak trees, and were very efficient. It took them a few hours and it looks great! And there price was reasonable as well. I'll have them back next year for any follow up trimming as the trees adjust to their new shape. read more

The guys were amazing! I had two trees that were hacked by a landscaper who left me in tears. An arborist came out and said the tree would need a major overhaul, losing its canopy because of the poor job. These guys corrected all the problems and made the tree look beautiful again. We first found Beny about a year ago when he was trimming our neighbor's trees! Our classic 80's neighborhood is basically a forest, so trimming and maintaining the trees is a must! I ran out to get a quote, and it was incredibly reasonable. They literally came out the next day, and they did a STELLAR job! Our trees looked snappy! Fast forward to two days ago when a freak wind thingie knocked a MASSIVE limb out of our tallest backyard tree and onto our brand new deck. Yikes! We looked back at our Nest cams, and it literally sounded like a tornado out there! The pictures really don't do it justice. It finally puts the whole "Beware of loose objects and falling tree limbs" weather warning into RL perspective. Had either us or our dogs been standing on that part of the deck, it would have been game over for us. SO scary! Really do beware of trees in windy weather, y'all! But I digress... We instantly thought of Beny to save the day, and he and his superhero crew came to the rescue this morning! A 2 day turnaround! Awesome! They were just as crazy fabulous and efficient today as they were last time! They removed the dead limb, scampered up the tree to inspect for any other compromised limbs, removed those, too, repaired the look of the damage, and even blew off our deck, all in about 45 minutes and all at an incredible price! Be sure you get specific line items in your estimate. Also, know that the price on their facebook page for roof clearing may not be what they will bid for your house. They did good work, but the estimate said "tree trimming" and when the crew got there the order did not include everything I had talked about with the arborist. They will also communicate through text, even if you request other forms of communication. They do good work, at a reasonable price, but the communication is NOT good. read more

Just wanted to give you a heads up that your quote guy Marco just cost you my business. He called me to let me know he was going to be 40 minutes late which was fine, never heard from him again until I got a quote by email. Found out after that when I called my neighbor to see if they even saw him around that he went to the wrong house. He gave my neighbor a quote (my neighbor asked him twice apparently if he had talked to me and he told them yes) and then sent me the quote for my neighbor. I emailed him back "I didn't know you were here, did you go in the backyard?" and he never responded. Incidentally my neighbor will not be using you either. That is insane. I had a great experience with Beny's for a stump removal that I found through a Facebook ad. The price was incredible compared to another quote that I received. Of course they want to win more business, but were by no means pushy. I had to push them to quote me on removing some smaller trees and shrubs that were on my to-do list. Saw Beny's Tree Service Instagram advertisement and decided to schedule an appointment for their $250 deal to trim trees. Got a call this morning from their rep claiming the service is only for tree trimming service on top of the roof area. They sent their crew to check my yard out and then quoted me $700+ to trim a tree in my front yard and trim the trees by the fence close to my chimney. The Instagram advertisement didn't indicate that the $250 service is only for roof clean up. It actually shows a video of their crew trimming a tree that is not near the roof area. In my opinion, this is false advertisement so I sent the crew away and told them I wasn't interested in the service. read more

10/9/20: Had Beny's crew do a second job for me this week. First was at my residence in Cedar Park. This job was at my mom's rural residence off Nameless Rd. Beny's 4 man crew spend almost 5 hours on my property. They trimmed the limbs near the electrical lines. They also removed 3 large trees that were poised to fall on my mom's house. I would like to share the excellent experience I had with Beny's tree service. We contacted them thru their Facebook page about two weeks ago for a bid to remove a couple trees and trim several others. They contacted me immediately and had someone out for a bid in just a couple days. We felt the price was very fair compared to other bids we received. To our surprise they said they could schedule us in about a week. Another company told us it would be 6-8 weeks. From the time of the bid until the day of the work, they stayed in touch and communications were excellent. Yesterday morning a 5 man crew arrived about 30 minutes early. They walked around with me and reviewed all the work to be done. The trees that were to be removed were very large and hanging over our pool, fence and the edge of the neighbor's fence. We were very concerned about risk of property damage. However, they were extremely careful and lowered all the limbs by rope to avoid damage. We were amazed how quickly they took down the trees. They had to haul all the remains uphill to the street to their chipper, which was no fun on a hot day. Every man on the crew hustled throughout the day. Frankly they worked their tails off. They were all very friendly and took care of all our requests. I even contacted Beny during the morning about getting a few old stumps removed. He had a man out there within an hour to do it for a fair price. Late in the afternoon, the foreman let me know they were finished. Everything was cleaned up very well, their gear was all loaded and I imagine they were ready to head home for the day. However I realized they missed trimming one tree, probably due to miscommunication on my part. The foreman very cheerfully said no problem and they immediately sprang back to work and took care of it. They again did a great job of cleanup afterwards. I'm a very tough grader and I don't often give 5 star reviews but Beny's Tree Service did an excellent job (5 stars plus) and exceeded my expectations. it was a pleasure working with them. We have more tree work to be done and I will be calling them back. If you have tree work to be done, by all means give them a call! read more

I Responded to the $250 facebook add for clearing the roof, but really wanted to have the canopy lifted. They came by to give me an estimate and also looked at a fruit tree in my back yard which was over the roof. They did both trees for $270 which blew my mind. They removed a LOT of tree from the one with the canopy, and cleared the roof of the other tree. Cleaned up all the brush and were in and out in less than 2 hours. Beny's Tree Service did a good job on my trees. Only complaint was that a month after spending over $4,700+ with them, I called them back to take one more limb down. This was on the same tree that they worked on. When they came back out, they agreed it was split and needed to come down...for another $450! We didn't think they would do it for free, but at least a service fee of $150 or so. They agreed to give me 20% off the $450. So I called other tree services that gave me bids at $250. I of course went with the cheaper one. So my recommendation is to get several bids if you are looking to get trees trimmed in the Lake Travis area. read more
