Jason is a no nonsense kind of guy. His team shows up like a small military unit, knocks out the work and they leave. Jason wasn't the cheapest (still very reasonably priced), but after looking through his reviews, I could tell Daniel who handles all the cutting was a master artist. He did not disappoint, this man single handily took down two full size trees in less than 90 minutes, one was super close to my house and fence. The helper did his best to seal the oaks, he missed some spots, but I saw him out there for quite a while checking and put in a good effort. I have a live oak and wax/crepe myrtle that have only ever really been trimmed by me, and they're now getting bigger than I care to deal with. Mike's Tree Service was recommended/referred to me by a neighbor, so I gave them a shot. I submitted my info on Mike's website contact page, and in a very short time, Mr. Jason Brosie emailed me and we handled everything over email (which was very prompt even so during our back-and-forth communications; I'm sure texting would have been even faster). He was able to come out later that day and assess the situation, gave me a quote which I agreed upon, and then the next morning his crew did the work. The work looks good, the live oak is sealed up on the cuts, and all the branches and debris were cleaned up, all while I was at work. Only good things to say. We've now had two jobs done by this crew and both were fantastic. First time was when some very high branches broke off one of our pecan trees, and they came in and trimmed all the busted parts of the tree to keep everything healthy. This time was for the removal of a very large mulberry tree (that actually grew up as two trees, connected just at the base) that was not healthy and needed to come out. They were working in between power lines and right along our fence, but did an elegant and amazing job getting the tree out and branches disposed of with no issues whatsoever (as far as we can tell!). Stumps are cut very successfully down to the base, which we'll eventually get ground out. Everyone was prompt, friendly, good communication. And very reasonably priced. I had an elm branch that broke off, still attached to the main trunk, but the rest was overhanging a shed roof. Serious storms were forecast for tonight, high winds. If the branch had fallen, it would take out the shed and roof. Jason at Mike's Tree Service got a crew over within a few hours (lucky me) and they removed it in the most professional manner possible. I had a very large old mulberry dying on one side of the house. The last round of severe wind storms resulted in a huge crack through a large branch (full tree sized) that stretch out above the roof of my house and so I organized quotes from a few of the local services. His was by far the fastest actual inspection of the tree, to the point that I half thought he wasn't going to send me a bid at all. He did so promptly and his full service quotes were right in line with one of the competitors (100's lower than the other 2 companies). Poking around online I was able to find more than a decade of good reviews across different platforms. We scheduled the service and a crew of 4 men arrived in the morning and brought down a tree with a more than 3 foot thick trunk and had everything broken down to manageable portions for my purposes. Between tha garden and fireplace nothing ever goes to waste. Everything was gathered on my side of the property line and they took the time to rake all small debris (twigs, bark, and leaves) from the neighbors grass so we won't poison that relationship. I don't want to have to take down another tree, but if it's necessary I now know who to contact first. The whole process was no frills smooth and professional. read more

Jason and his team came out this morning and did a trimming of my giant oak tree in my front yard. Can't say enough good things about these guys! I've had this tree trimmed several times over the years, always for around the same price Jason and team charged, but the tree has never looked better. This was by far the most thorough and professional trimming I've ever gotten. The team also noticed a spot on the trunk that looks like I've got some insect problems, Jason referred me to an arborist who looked at the picture and talked me through what to do to take care of it.
