I had a very large old mulberry dying on one side of the house. The last round of severe wind storms resulted in a huge crack through a large branch (full tree sized) that stretch out above the roof of my house and so I organized quotes from a few of the local services. His was by far the fastest actual inspection of the tree, to the point that I half thought he wasn't going to send me a bid at all. He did so promptly and his full service quotes were right in line with one of the competitors (100's lower than the other 2 companies). Poking around online I was able to find more than a decade of good reviews across different platforms. We scheduled the service and a crew of 4 men arrived in the morning and brought down a tree with a more than 3 foot thick trunk and had everything broken down to manageable portions for my purposes. Between tha garden and fireplace nothing ever goes to waste. Everything was gathered on my side of the property line and they took the time to rake all small debris (twigs, bark, and leaves) from the neighbors grass so we won't poison that relationship. Jason and his team came out this morning and did a trimming of my giant oak tree in my front yard. Can't say enough good things about these guys! I've had this tree trimmed several times over the years, always for around the same price Jason and team charged, but the tree has never looked better. This was by far the most thorough and professional trimming I've ever gotten. The team also noticed a spot on the trunk that looks like I've got some insect problems, Jason referred me to an arborist who looked at the picture and talked me through what to do to take care of it. 10 trees on my lot. Raise the canopy, remove dead limbs, remove mistletoe, check tree condition and health, seal live oak wounds, and remove all trimmings. A team of 4 arrived and completed the work quickly with no problems. A good trim at a great price. Mike's is very busy this time of year, and you pay with check or cash, so plan ahead. The crew is so fast they will be gone before your neighbors know what's happening. They haul everything away which is very convenient. They know how to use climbing equipment so height is not a problem. Several of the trees on my lot are mature and around 30 feet and higher. No problem for Mike's team. I'm very happy with the work and call Mike's once a year or when icing damage happens. My lot looks much better front and back. Its worth the price having limbs and debris hauled away, and working with someone that's been in business for decades. read more

(Shes seen one to many incidents in her ER days) Anyway, I had a great experience using this company to remove some dead/dying branches and clean up some mistletoe off my elm trees. They responded very quickly to my initial request and were able to complete the work very quickly due to a last minute opening in their schedule. Big win for me! I unexpectedly had to run to work in Dallas on the day we had scheduled, but they assured me that it wasn't any problem and they would get it done without anyone home. While I was a little nervous that they might miss something, I was beyond impressed with how everything looked when I got back home from Dallas. I can't say enough good things here. I needed to have a big oak in my front yard trimmed, and I was getting some astronomical quotes from other services. But when I messaged Mike's on my Yelp app, not only did he reply quickly, he actually gave me a quote that came in at half the price of most of the other guys and in one case, even a third. I was amazed, and given all the good reviews, I hired him on the spot. He was able to put me on the schedule three weeks out and even confirmed with me the day before. Then, his crew came out at about 9am this morning, got to work, trimmed the tree and raised the canopy just like they said they would, and even cleaned up before knocking on the door to say they were done and ask if it looked okay--which it absolutely did:) Totally professional and really polite. They did an awesome job in our backyard! They were wash to contact and came out for an initial consultation at no charge. Jason gave us a quote via text that day and it was very reasonable compared to a couple other quotes we had. We had to schedule the service about a month out since they were pretty busy (I can see why!). Jason and his team of 3 other guys came out and quickly lifted the tree branches above our roof and pruned a couple large trees in our yard. They also cleaned up an area with a stump and then sent out a different guy in the next day or so to grind it down. Payment is also easy and convenient; we mailed a check to them after the stump guy was completely finished and all work was complete.
