I met with several tree companies and it was critical that I find someone who had a healthy philosophy around protecting a tree's life and considering the growth for decades to come. I didn't want lollipop trees that my neighbors and I would hate. Manny Perez was fantastic and really looked at each tree and did what was best for the tree and the entire property. Over 40 trees were trimmed, 2 were removed and almost 10 stumps drilled out. The property looked unbelievable when he was finished. My neighbors said they loved it, never knew what the house looked like and didn't realize just how many spectacular live oaks I had. The team worked hard, removed so much undergrowth, cleaned up the debris and just made the place look better than ever!!! I will use them for the 50+ trees in the back!

Joshua sent me a copy of his liability insurance, and I called the insurer and they confirmed that it's current. I asked for Worker's Compensation insurance and he said he doesn't have it, but he'd be willing to sign a waiver. I wrote one up and he signed it. When I hired him on Friday he said they'd be there next week. On Wednesday he called and said they'd be there the next morning. The arrived at 7:45, but didn't start chainsaws until 8:00, respectful of the noise ordinance. The tree they removed was hanging over my house. I was worried about big chunks falling onto the roof, but that never happened. I watched the crew of five work for a while, they were clearly skilled, and tied the parts they were cutting with a rope so that they couldn't fall on the roof. Two hours to cut down a large tree with a double trunk, then another hour to get all the pieces loaded in the trailer. They then ran a leaf blower to clean up. Done by 11:15. I tipped each of the crew $20.

They were hired by the homeowner on my property line to do some tree trimming. The owner owns the…read moreproperty and rents it to some tenants that I do not know. I noticed that they had completely topped the tree in his front yard and I assumed that they were completely taking the tree out however, they left the trunk of the tree standing without a canopy. I went back to work before noticing them doing the same to a tree in the backyard. I stopped the workers and asked what they were doing and why? They pretended not hear me or understand my questions and continued working. I contacted the homeowner asking if he was aware that the contractor was completely topping his trees. He stated that they had been hired to clear the undergrowth however, they notified him that the tree was split down the middle and needed to be addressed. He does not live in the area and authorized them to do what was necessary to address the problem. It appears that he is being taken for a ride since the solution to a cracked limb is not to completely top the canopy of two different trees. To be clear I did not request these services however, the homeowner did not request the services that were delivered. Munoz Tree Service is taking advantage of his geographic separation from the property to perform additional unneeded work that is ultimately going to kill these trees. Furthermore, it is clear they do not have any skills or training is best practices for tree trimming as topping a trees canopy is not recommended as a technique for tree trimming. Buyer beware.

Pablo came on the day we scheduled, did a few tasks here and there with his assistant and promised that he would come back the next day to "finish the rest of the work." I decided to put my trust in Pablo and pay him the full amount $250. The next day, I waited for him to come, but ended up telling me that he had to schedule...Cut to 2 weeks later, and he's rescheduled the "completion of the task" over and over, to the point where I'm not sure what exactly he did in his first day of work. I gave him every opportunity to at least send me a text message giving me an update or a reason on why he's not responding for multiple weeks with a CLEAR answer on what exactly he still needs to complete. Crickets. Long story short, he ended up completely ghosting me for no reason...I'm not an unreasonable person by any means, if you don't want to complete the service, give me a heads up of what you did complete and what was left and I can at least get someone else. Eventually, I just gave up. I had to call TWO other Certified Arborist companies to tell me that Pablo didn't complete his work and there was still significant work to be done. Another $250 down the drain. All of this could've been avoided had Pablo simply texted me back a simple response: "Hey sorry I wasn't able to get to that. I have a busy schedule, but I recommend you find someone else to complete this this and this." but instead he for some reason just likes pushing things off, not showing up, and ghosting you out of the blue for no reason. Overall, I agree with the comments that Pablo is RUDE and is not good at communicating with CUSTOMERS. He's just simply not Professional in the most bizarre kind of way. Like seriously, does it take so much effort to send a text message to a customer that you didn't complete the task you promised to complete AFTER he's paid? Overall, Pablo is a strange man and I don't recommend his service in any capacity. Go with Beny's Tree Service - they've got a great Certified Arborist at very reasonable rates (and honestly better reviews overall). I have nothing but positive things to say about Beny's and nothing but terrible experience to say about Pablo, who apparently is Board Certified and touts his accolades, even though his professionalism is just not there.
