Couldn't have been more pleased. A friend told me he had a similar-size tree removed and paid $3000 for removal and haul-off. I got three bids, $1850, $1800, and $1200, the last from ATT. Joshua sent me a copy of his liability insurance, and I called the insurer and they confirmed that it's current. I asked for Worker's Compensation insurance and he said he doesn't have it, but he'd be willing to sign a waiver. I wrote one up and he signed it. When I hired him on Friday he said they'd be there next week. On Wednesday he called and said they'd be there the next morning. The arrived at 7:45, but didn't start chainsaws until 8:00, respectful of the noise ordinance. The tree they removed was hanging over my house. I was worried about big chunks falling onto the roof, but that never happened. I watched the crew of five work for a while, they were clearly skilled, and tied the parts they were cutting with a rope so that they couldn't fall on the roof. Two hours to cut down a large tree with a double trunk, then another hour to get all the pieces loaded in the trailer. They then ran a leaf blower to clean up. Done by 11:15. I love Josh and his crew. This is the second time and the second home I've used him for. Last summer we moved into a new place and he cleared a 1/2 acre lot of over 30 saplings, trimmed all of the mature oaks back beautifully and removed 3, 30'+ trees including stump grinding- all of this in about 3 days! The result was a stunning transformation of the property which allowed the house to be framed really well, raised the canopy in the yard while still maintaining shade, and exposed an unknown west-facing sunset view we didn't even know we had because of overgrowth! Even though it was over the Christmas break and other companies were putting me off for days when I called Josh with Affordable Tree Trimming he wanted to come out that very afternoon and provide an estimate. He arrived and I described the tree removal/trimming that I needed done, approx. removal of 12 trees and about the same large branches and some tree shaping/trimming. He understood what I was trying to accomplish, made constructive suggestions, and then provided his affordable estimate. When we agreed to the price, he was able to even start the very next morning. His team showed up early the next morning. Josh and his staff were extremely polite, respectful, hard working, and were able to complete the entire effort in one day. I even had a cedar tree that was severely leaning over the iron fence and they were able to remove it without damaging the fence at all. He told me that he would be on the job with his crew and complete the job to my satisfaction. They came on time, worked hard for six and a half hours, and did a beautiful job on the tree-trimming.
