We had a pretty big limb hanging from one of our old Oaks after a recent storm. It was dangling near our propane tank..super dangerous! Jacob at SavaTree was super responsive and moved his schedule around to take care of our issue. Upon inspection, we discovered another tree which had several dangerous danglers. A couple trees to cut down and assorted trimming, Reasonable price. Professional, friendly, courteous team completed the work timely and cleaned the site when done. I certainly recommend for reliable and reasonable tree care. A couple minor points of constructive criticism, and to set your expectations. Communication could be better. Scheduled appointment time for consultation came and went. Called office and was told he was running late and would be on way soon. They should have called me. After signing and returning proposal, I had to call several days later to confirm they received and to get the work scheduled. This minor inconvenience was made up for in the actual work, but it's such an easy thing to improve. A little too aggressive collecting payment. Got email as soon as the crew arrived on site in the morning, announcing that my credit card was being charged. Would have much preferred a courtesy call when the work was complete to confirm that all was well and to finalize payment. Particularly since even the very best contractors vaporize into thin air as soon as they're paid. I suppose I kind of understand, I'm certain they've occasionally had trouble getting payment, it's just not customer service oriented. read more

I have been a long-time customer for years. I received an estimate to do a light trim 5 crape myrtles (not very big) and treat them for aphids using deep root fertilization. The total was close to $1000. I imagine the cost of them doing this 30 minute job is not worth that much. Joel has always been my go-to guy and I was shocked by the cost. I'll look for someone else as this is very expensive for minimal work. The deep root takes 2 minutes and certainly not an expensive product as they get it in volume. They are a good service but jacked up pricing. read more

Several individuals from the company, from the person who was supposed to come out for a quote, to the manager who couldn't care less and didn't offer any solutions for the poor experience except to try to get me to get additional services, to the receptionists answering the phones. Only the legacy workers that were with the original Central Texas company were professional and courteous. Avoid the headache. read more

They came out next day to inspect a hackberry that had a giant branch fall down. Told me it would need to probably be taken down within the year but that another tree on the property was much more worrisome. Quoted about $2k for each tree to come down. They are both very big trees that I'll need a permit to remove, so seems like a reasonable price. I won't be using them just because I have a family member who can do the job. read more

Received a very high quote to help repair our trees after the ice storm. The rep was very upfront - noted that the rates were 50% above standard as they were quoting the 'storm' rate which requires premium pricing due to staffing coming in from the Dallas area to complete the work. I have used Central Texas Tree Care for over 5 years now. We have 24 Live Oak trees on our lot and they are a blessing and a curse. Blessing because they are so beautiful and make our yard and home a wonderful place to live. The curse is when, in order to keep them looking good, you have to spend money to trim them. I have lived in my home in Round Rock for over 25 years and had the house built amongst all these trees. In fact the builder had to cut 13 trees down to build the house, but leaving 24 was just great. Over the years I have had a number of different groups trim them. From out of the back of their trucks not knowing how clean their saws are or how much they knew about trees to very professional arborist led tree services like Central Texas Tree Care. They provide free and accurate estimates that have not changed after the work was completed. They arrive when they say they will, all their crews are very knowledgeable, courteous and very customer focused. I have had three different crews come out at various times (my trees grow fast!) and they all have been good. Some of their people have been with them for over 10 years and some since they started about 20 years ago. This may not be important to some, but they all wear Central Texas Tree Service shirts, are very clean and they pick up every bit of debris in my yard, then they use a blower to remove any small particles. When they leave my yard is clean and they leave the trees looking very good. I recommend them and while they aren't as cheap as the back of the truck with a chain saw independent, they are very reasonable. Our neighbor across the street has used them for about 20 years. I didn't get smart until about 5 years ago and started using them too. Now at least 4 houses on our block (we have many trees in our development) use them as well. Give them a try and no, I do not work for them or are associated with them in anyway except as a very satisfied customer. read more

I've had Joel and crew come out for the past several years (10?) now. - They show up when scheduled. - They take care of the task at hand. - They clean up after themselves. They also ask questions while they are here and I do the same. Its no issue. You need to be on the same page when it comes to pruning trees/shrubs/etc that you will be left staring at. This is the third time I've had these guys come remove some trees for me, and it's the third time I've been 100% happy with their service! These guys are really amazing. On this trip, they had to remove a monster hackberry tree that was towering over both my and my neighbor's houses, and growing right against the fence. Andy took care of the permit from the city with no issues. Greg was foreman of the crew that came out, and he did an awesome job. The guys were so careful, it was amazing to watch them get it down without dropping it on the roof or damaging the fence. They blew off my roof, my driveway, raked all the limbs and leaves... There are less leaves in my yard now than when they arrived this morning! And Susan in the office is just the best person to talk with on the phone. I can't say enough nice things about this company. We had Joel, one of the certified arborists on staff, swing by earlier this week to look at all of the trees on our property and give us a bid for tree trimming. He ended up providing tons of helpful information about how to best take care of our oaks and pecans to keep them healthy and happy. Andy provided a reasonable quote and timeline to prune this beast. As promised Andy and his crew arrived on time, verified what I wanted done, and got to it. A couple of hours later our beast was tamed as all the dead limbs were gone and the tree trimmed back to my satisfaction. Trees are on my list of animate objects that I love so a lot of time and care went into deciding on which company to entrust our tree to. I had called another tree trimming service for an estimate. However, it took the guy two days to get out here for a quote after calling the first day to say he wouldn't be able to make it. Frustrated, I called Central Texas Tree Service. They came out when they said they would for our estimate. Then, promptly emailed the estimate to me. Service was scheduled shortly thereafter. The whole process was painless. Two guys showed up on time for the tree trimming as I was on my way out. I told them to take great care of our tree bush. When I arrived back at home hours later, I was in awe. Had a 70 year old Post Oak kick the can in the back yard, had 3 companies do assessments, all said the tree had to go, but Central Texas Tree Care could do it all diagnose, cut down, stump grind, & clean it all up like they never where there. Joel, the arborist for this outfit, came out and gave us a very detailed estimate, after coming out to inspect our trees. I've never had tree work done before, but I felt like the pricing was customer friendly. He even suggested we may want to do some of the easier work ourselves, but we chose to have them do it all. Great crew showed up and made short work of 20 trees in exactly two hours. They took down 7 cypresses and ground the stumps and cut back what looked like a tangled forest of overgrown trees. They haul away EVERYTHING they cut down and even sneaked off with a couple of limbs that had been drying out for weeks near our gate! Obviously that was the extra mile. I just had these guys out for the second time in two years. What a fantastic job! You forget how well your trees can look until you have them trimmed and Central Texas Tree Care does a hell of a job. Prior to the job, Andy came out and inspected all my trees and gave me advice for what needed to be done. The quote was fair and I got on the schedule. Yesterday they arrive on time, confirmed exactly what I wanted done, and got to work. They trimmed all the oaks and cleaned up my crepe myrtles as well as a few other smaller trees. Central Texas Tree Care just finished triming my trees today. They came on time with the size of the crew they stated (8 people). They were here around 7 hours. Twice during their time here, and once before the crew left, their lead knocked on my door to have me look at their work. If there was an issue they wanted to resolve it as soon as possible not after they left. Only had one minor issue that they recified immediately. I will also note they did a good job of cleaning up. Hard to tell on the leaves as there are so many on the ground already but for the branches, twigs, and limbs I don't see any. I have no trouble recommending them and will certainly use them in the furture. read more

Still better than 5 stars! It was time for our Live Oak to get trimmed so we called Central Texas Tree Care. The Arborist came out, looked over the tree and gave us the cost for the work. Again the price was more than right and we scheduled the job. They arrived at the time promised and went right to work. With three workers it was very quick. Near the end of the job the supervisor asked us if we wanted any more trimming and gave us suggestions that made sense. In addition he noticed a branch on our near by Crape Myrtle and suggested it be removed. We agreed and at no extra expense he removed the branch. They again thoroughly cleaned up the yard and in the street around their chipper. In our opinion they're the best! read more
