Dan P. Handled a full roof replacement for me while I was out of town. The roof was practically all gone from wind and needed to be tarped urgently and replaced. They got out their asap to tarp and then replaced the whole roof when the rain stopped. We had a horrible experience with the owner and our project manager Patrick. We had a large interior job that included removing texture and repainting. During the skim process we had damage done to our home and when confronted the project manager made multiple excuses and even tried to turn the blame on me after taking responsibility the night before. The owner was extremely argumentative to both my husband and I and made serval strange comments like "I'm sure we know the same people in town.." I'm not sure if that was meant to be threatening or what exactly he was trying to accomplish. We fired the company from our exterior job and continue to get billed even though we had to pay another company to fix their poor job. We are still discovering issues with the inside job and it's clear they tried to cut corners. As you can see in the pic they didn't smooth areas that were supposed to be included. I encourage you to look at other painters in town- we had a great experience with our exterior painter and wish we would have used them for the inside. read more

This review is for in-person consultation with the salesperson rep - Joel. Consultation scheduled on Thursday, April 24 at 4:30pm. Sales Joel called to let me know he is going to be late since he is coming from Round Rock.  It was okay, we just needed to prep the dogs. He arrived a little past 5pm. - Consultation only lasted 10 to 20 mins. - Entire interaction with him was off.  He mentioned small intro about him and his team.  But also made negative comments of how others do it.  He said right off the bat that minimum acceptable projects is $5K and don't do breakdown of specific areas like others do (which i asked if he can provide).  He also added that if our budget is lower than $5K then there's no point of doing this estimate to save time.  I did not give him a specific $ of what our budget is so I'm not sure why he acted afterwards.  I showed one of the areas i wanted painted and he said he can't do it just that small area (which would mean its less than $5K) And I responded it's not the only one.  Our house is a 2-story with double high ceilings which some walls are connected.  But we don't want those walls painted at this time.  So I showed our master bath and 2 other decent size bathrooms. As we were going upstairs he made a comment "I was showing him more when I cannot already afford the other areas".  The last room i showed to include was the pets room.  As he reached for the front door, he turned around and asked me if there's more.  When I said that's it, he said he will see what he can do.  It was already raining when he went out but I honestly thought he was going to get something from his truck and come back in for the estimate.  But then eventually he left. So that was it.  He had no proper etiquette on customer interaction --- at least to me.  It has been 2 weeks since the consultation and I have not heard or received any quotes or updates from them, even checked my spam folder just in case.   When I inquired online for a consultation, I received non-stop text messages & emails from them. I needed the popcorn ceiling removed in my house, as well as the exterior painted. After looking at reviews of Tex Painting, I gave them a call and they were prompt in getting back with me and coming out to give a quote. Their rep, Jason, was thorough and detailed in telling me what they would do, and we were able to set up the job right away. The crew that showed up, headed by a nice gentleman named Luis, arrived early every day, and stayed late a couple of days to make sure they got the job done right. They removed some rotted wood on the side of the house and replaced it, and re-textured the ceiling and primed and painted it. Joel came out gave us a little pricey estimate BUT one thing that sold us on Tex Painting was they would replace rotten wood and give my home multi coats if needed without charging more. They did just that, I needed a little woodwork and the back of my home needed two coats. Tex Painting is also a company that I can contact if I need warranty work. Not one to disappear overnight. Joels team came out (Louis and team) and did an awesome job washing my house then came out the next day to prep the house. Wow what a job. We contacted Tex Painting to paint the exterior of our home and casita after seeing the positive reviews. Wow, we were so glad to have chosen Patrick and Tex Painting to work with. I really wish we had contacted them sooner. I put a huge emphasis on communication and timeliness. The Tex Painting crews and Patrick check all of the boxes. He responds quickly to text messages/calls and is punctual with his painting team. I also liked how knowledge Patrick and his guys are with respect to paints. I've done lots of research over the years in trying to find a good DIY interior satin or interior trim that isn't actually an oil based paint. Patrick spent 15 minutes with me discussing the various Benjamin-Moore products and what the trade-offs were for various lines. As someone who has painted numerous times myself, I appreciated all of the expert insight and dedicated knowledge to the products. Patrick also had his team meticulously swap out rotten wood on our Casita before painting it so that it would be less likely to rot in the future. His crew is not like most of the other "painters" out there. They don't rush a job, and they don't cut corners. I can't tell you how aggravating it is to pay someone to do a job that I think I could do better.
