I asked if it was too small of a job because I do have other rooms I could add in. Anyway, no response. So I figured it's not his number anymore. I sent the business a quote request a day later. No response. This is weird because they were so great before but now they just seem like maybe they aren't taking anymore business? Or maybe they are no longer in business? I waited over 24 hours and not even a message back? Thats not like them... but I suppose they could just be swamped and I can understand if that's the case. If they respond I'll update this....but it's now been almost 2 weeks so I can't recommend them. read more

I got three quotes to stain my outdoor covered patio's railing and staircase. AJs Painting provided a very competitive rate, was able to start the project in a reasonable amount of time, and was willing to match the color we were wanting for the stain. Anthony went over the various options for the staining (semi-transparent, semi-solid, etc.) and explained the whole process they would take. Leading up to, during, and after the project Anthony was very communicative through text and email, and I was never left hanging. We had to deal with a little bit of stormy weather, but we were able to reschedule easily a few days later. One of the Anthony's team members and Anthony arrived the afternoon before the staining the power-wash the patio and prep the wood. The day of the staining they arrived on time, took care to cover all areas of the patio/house to not get sprayed accidentally, and they got to work staining. The did two coats of stain and took their time to get in the detail work. The next day Anthony met me at my house to do little touch up paint jobs and doing a once over everything. In fairness, let me start by saying Anthony was polite, and timely on his estimate thru email. We did not end up going with this company. We had agreed to a price and also, in fairness, in late April. It was a reasonable price not the cheapest and not highest.. and we choose them based on being local and family owed. We also were very transparent about other home projects like windows being installed and AJ made it clear that painting needed to happen after the windows to avoid touch ups,etc. We agreed and told him I would stay in touch. I emailed him 2times in May, 1time in June, and 2times in July to ensure he was in the loop about the delay in window installation. He was about a 24 hour turnaround time on emails. He never once mentioned anything about raising prices. I reached out finally to let him know windows would be installed and we were ready to schedule. To my surprise, Anthony said he was going to have to raise the price initially quoted. Now, I communicated every month and NEVER was it mentioned to expect the possibility of a price increase. To say the least, I emailed to ask what the difference would be, right away- and have heard nothing - to say the least we are disappointed, and have found another company to paint our home. Be sure to ask how they will honor their quote and do know that YOU will have to do all the communication, and if you expecting a fast response you may not get it as quickly as you may like. ****Added about 1 hour after I wrote the above******* Anthony has since responded and was very courteous with a response explaining his side of things.
