They did everything that we agreed for them to do, and then some. When the project was completed, the quality of their work was outstanding. I've never worked with painters so good. Several years ago we hired Andrew to paint the exterior of our house. I got several quotes for that job and Andrew was the only one who correctly estimated the effort that was needed. He didn't tell me it would take 3 days. He knew that in order to do the job best, he would need significant time to adequately pressure wash the house, repair damaged siding and trim, and then prep and paint the house. He is NOT the cheapest, but that wasn't what I was looking for either. The work was completed to our absolute full satisfaction. He was pickier than I was and noticed things that needed to be corrected well before I had a chance to even see it. Fast forward to this year and a slab leak inside our home meant that we would need to repaint almost the entire interior. This was not something we were prepared to do and I knew that there was no company I would call other than Andrew. His team showed up again and did a wonderful job. They were super responsive, quite professional and worked with us so that we could effectively live in the house throughout the job. It took a couple of weeks to complete the project in phases because we were living there. And I can clearly see the quality that went into our project. He was even able to help us with some "nice to have" upgrades to our lights and trim. I don't really want to think about another painting project anytime soon, but if something were to come up, I know exactly who I will call. read more

After a few very unpleasant experiences with 3 other paint/drywaller businesses, I was ecstatic after meeting Andrew Gregory to perform interior drywalling and painting. Surely, we have all had hired someone to perform work for us only to be left undone, they disappeared, the decision to call it quits due to lack of integrity and professionalism, or totally lacked respect for your belongings. Contractors who show up and do not take noted then send a totally inaccurate bid. Also, not to mention the lack of communication. After our first great experience, we hired Gregory Brothers again recently to repaint some trim and restain sink areas after water damage. Before the job started, we added the repainting of common areas in our house and fixing small drywall cracks. The job Andrew's company did surpassed my high expectations. Beto and his team worked a solid week at our house, going above and beyond to do an amazing job. They were extremely considerate and hard working, and the end result was amazing. I'm positive the house's common areas look better now than they did when the house was first built. It is so nice to find a company like Gregory Brothers. Any time I have a painting need, I don't have to research/evaluate/etc., as I know who I want doing the job. Andrew at Gregory brothers just spent 30 minutes, giving me advice on my exterior house painting project. I had not chosen Gregory Brothers, although they were at the top of the list when I took several bids. I ended up going with a remodeler who has done a lot of good work for me and also has a lot of experience with painting. The guy I chose has done an excellent job on the prep work, but I began to have concerns over how to cover the extensive spot priming that was part of the prep work. (We have not yet begun the painting, ) I really liked Andrew when he came out to look at my house and give me a proposal, so I called him to get his advice. He spent a long time talking me through different options to deal with covering spot priming, depending on how picky I am. I texted him a photo of the work in progress and he reassured me that the guy I was using was doing a great job. Wow. Amazing service. The crew was extraordinary. They did a complete prep on the house before they started. Moved the furniture and pictures, covered the floor with paper, plastic in the doorways to control the dust, tape and caulk on the trim. And the paint! Beautiful job on my 20 ft. Walls. They did a great job fixing the spots where the wallboard was uneven by repairing and replastering to match the rest of the wall. They are simply the best painters in Austin. Period. I have owned two homes and had work done on both at various stages over the years. I have never used the same painters twice, as I have always found something lacking in their workmanship, manner or reliability. Andrew and his team, led by Beto, are perfectionists in the extreme. That is not to say they than can work mircales if your job is beyond hope already, but my 30 y.o. sad, ugly, dirty garage was cleaned, holes patched, taped, floated, sanded, painted, trim added, repainted, concrete floor grinded, cleaned, primed and epoxied (3 coats) and now looks like a pro car showroom, to me anyway. Words cannot convey the total 180 turnaround Andrew and his team performed on my lame ol garage. If you want cheap, you will find cheap and get cheap but be prepared to be unhappy. I had used Gregory Brothers Painting to paint the exterior of our house a few years back and was very satisfied with the work. Since we were doing some serious remodeling, we decided to repaint the interior of our house. Andrew came by to talk to us about what we wanted done and gave us an estimate. The house is 28 years old, walls and ceiling needed to be repainted, some drywall damage from the winter snow storm needed to be repaired, doors, crown molding, baseboard, closet doors all needed attention. We can't say enough good things about Gregory Brothers Painting. In addition to painting the exterior of our house, Andrew and the guys replaced two second-story, squirrel-damaged soffits (with Hardie), and several fascia and trim boards. Prep work was excellent. Some painters claim they caulk all the cracks, but Gregory brothers actually does it. If there was a chance that the carpentry work wouldn't match or look right, they replaced nearby pieces to ensure a consistent look. In other words, they took their time and did things right. Two coats of paint were applied. Coverage is excellent. The crew even painted the underside of the bay window boxes. Again, no shortcuts. Finally, communication is half the battle when one takes on a home improvement project. Andrew's bid was clear and timely, and follow up questions were quickly addressed. Taking popcorn off our ceilings is not the first job that we have hired Gregory Bros Painting to do for us. After we removed paneling from the walls of our Family Room, Andrew Gregory brought his crew in to sand the walls and ceiling, do a skim coat and finish the whole room with a fine texture of our choice. Good job! The next job that they did for us was to paint the outside of our house. Andrew used good quality paint, and helped me to make a good choice on colors. Finally, when we were ready to have the popcorn removed from our ceilings, we again called Gregory Bros. Loved working with Andrew Gregory and his chief painter, Alberto, whom some call Beto. They did a conscientious job of painting my condo and are unusually kind, both of them, and professional. I was in need of some sheet rock repair after having a roof leak fixed. My State Farm Agent recommended Gregory Brothers Painting as Gregory Brothers had done some work at his home. I was so impressed that I have had him back to paint several other things, including the entire outside of my home. He returned to do a large job such as that and didn't hesitate when I called him back to paint just one wall in my home. Doing that sounds easy, but we all know cutting in along the wall to ceiling and to the corner is not easy when you have 2 different colors to work with. I used Gregory Brothers for a ceiling drywall patch and paint job. We had a crack in the ceiling caused by a slow drip leak from a roof issue. It also caused peeling of the paint. The logistics were complicated due to 20' high cathedral ceilings and a walkway bisecting the room. Andrew and his crew were consummate professionals. From the bid process to the prep work to the job itself and the cleanup they were extremely good at all of these. In particular the crew was very hardworking, very detail-oriented with the taping and hanging of plastic sheeting, moving furniture, etc. I would highly recommend them for other jobs and will certainly use them again for my painting needs. read more
