APG textured and painted over wallpaper and painted oak cabinets.
    Janet K.

I enjoyed working with APG. They worked very fast and focused. They textured over old wallpaper (per our request) and painted both walls and oak cabinets. They also retaped and repainted our ceiling as there were issues around our skylight that needed this work. They seemed to take pride in all that they were doing. Jason was easy to work with and communicated promptly. They cleaned up very well also. I'd hire them again.

A before-and-after sample of our ceiling job. Thank you, Austin's Paint Guys!
    Cathy Y.

When J&N Handyman Services removed our popcorn ceilings and retextured them a year ago, their workmanship was shocking... and I don't mean that in a good way! We were literally embarrassed by the state of our home. Knowing that having the ceilings REDONE was going to be a huge job, we put it off for a year, and only invited people over for dark evenings, Literally. It was that bad. Enter Austin's Paint Guys. To restore our ceilings, these fine folks had to skim coat every square inch of ceiling, sand it, retexture it, and put 2-3 coats of paint on it. When other companies wanted to come into our home, get the job done in a few days, and displace our family in the process, Austin's Paint Guys patiently worked with us to create a plan with 4 phases. This way, we could live in our house while the work was being done, always having access to a place to sleep and a bathroom to use. Though the job took more days to complete, these guys were 100% willing to work with our family. Austin's Paint Guys respected our property. When we expressed concern that our concrete flooring may be scratched or damaged during work, these folks used various floor protection coverings (thin boards, Ram Board, etc.) and literally built a barrier to keep our floors safe. When it was time to inspect each room after the work was done, we took note of details that needed to be remedied. These folks refused any sort of payment until the job was COMPLETE and to our satisfaction. Like Santa Claus had come, I left the house in the morning, and returned mid-afternoon to find that every detail had been addressed. Additionally, details that weren't even part of the job, but made our home look nicer, were also taken care of. For example, when some ol' popcorn was still a bit visible above our 1980s golden wood panelling, Jason caulked it himself to our liking. He also crafted a piece of wood trim to hide a similar popcorn peeking area above one of our kitchen cabinets. Again, these folks did not have to do that, but they respected our home enough to see more than ceilings. To us, this job was about more than ceilings. This was about restoring a house that had been done wrong. My son said it best - he said, "You know mom? This finally feels like our home." I agree, buddy.

We had been preparing for a couple of years to have our house painted. Based upon information…read moregathered via informal conversations with friends and colleagues, we were expecting that a thorough, professional exterior paint job for our 2600 square feet home (plus 2 car garage) would likely yield a hefty price tag. So, we developed an informal prospectus based on this assumption. Sometime later, we happened upon a poster advertising That 1 Painter, a licensed and bonded enterprise based in the Treasure Valley. Their reviews were strongly favorable and more so noteworthy was that T1P had been voted Best of Idaho twice (among many other plaudits)! So, when we were ready we contacted them with the intention that they would provide us with our first estimate. We were visited by Ruth Brinton, a professional house painter and owner of T1P. She presented well with confidence and comprehension. She looked at many things that we would have likely overlooked. She made many observations and shared her thoughts with us. She also looked at the property and made recommendations regarding colors to not only enhance the house, but also to optimize the use of colors that would give balance and compliment to the property on the whole. The next day, we received the detailed estimate for the job. We were stunned to learn that T1P would do the job for well below our most auspicious estimates! All the information we had gathered convinced us that we did not have need to solicit another estimate. Within a month's time (from initial contact) our house was very nicely and professionally cleaned, prepped and painted. The crew performing the work were polite, friendly and professional. Clearly, the team at T1P are committed to customer service and satisfaction. We offer a solid 5-star review and our full endorsement.

I recently hired Austin Professional Painters for a pretty large project: we had remodeled our…read morekitchen and had installed new shiplap, headboard, and chair rail throughout the main areas of our downstairs. The cabinets and walls needed a total refresh of paint, and all that new woodwork had tons of caulking/filling/sanding/priming etc to do. Then we needed new crown molding added to our half bath, and there were several sheetrock patches plus some ceiling cracks which needed good prepping and feathering in. Also, our front and back doors needed to be repainted. So - a lot of work! And I am picky about quality. I chose Austin Professional Painting because they seemed well organized, well qualified, and ready to go at a scale of enough workers that we could get back to living in the downstairs of our house in a reasonable amount of time. Their comfort with good quality paint was also a key factor in my choice. So: the guys who came out to do the work, Carlos and Ivan - plus another couple of guys on certain days, were very nice, polite, and extremely hard working. They did a very good job and I am satisfied with the work. I would hire Austin Professional Painters again (and probably will this fall when we get around to renewing the master bath), and I definitely recommend them. I'll have to update this review with photos soon, I just need to take a bunch of them.

Not only did they give us the most competitive price, John and his crew were very professional and did an awesome job. They painted the whole house including the trim and front door in about 4 days. They also used top quality paint (Sherwin Williams Emerald) so the paint should be looking good for many years. This was by far my best experience with a painting company so I highly recommend APP and will be using them for any future painting work.

Although…read morewe weren't ready to kick off the project just yet, their reasonable quote and stellar reputation in the Austin area kept them at the top of my list. Fast forward to March 2026: as we began preparing for broader home renovations, we reconnected with them for an updated whole-house quote. After hiring a handyman to take care of minor repairs around the house, we were finally ready to paint by May. Because 21st Century is so popular with local school districts and commercial clients, their summer schedule fills up fast. However, they promised they could start our project in August during the first week of school, and they delivered right on schedule. Throughout the planning phase, they were incredibly responsive to all my questions and accommodating whenever I needed to update our project scope. When work began, the execution was incredible. They initially estimated the job would take between a week and a half to two weeks. For our nearly 3,200 sq. ft. home, we stayed at a nearby Airbnb expecting a longer process, but their team was so efficient they started on Monday and wrapped up completely by Saturday! The quality of work was outstanding, and their customer service is truly top-notch. As a self-proclaimed perfectionist, I was amazed when I did my initial walkthrough. There were only a few minor spots that needed touch-ups; everything else looked flawless. The owner, Gary, and project manager, Mike, maintained excellent communication and knew the exact status of the project at all times. The crew was courteous, respectful of our belongings, and made sure the house was securely locked up every day. During the final walkthrough, Gary personally ensured I was 100% satisfied and had the team address the few touch-up spots right on the spot. They were so appreciative of our flexibility with scheduling that they even brought a box of donuts to the final walkthrough! Our home literally feels brand new now, and we are so excited to enjoy it for years to come. I will definitely be hiring 21st Century for any future painting needs.
