Aloha Burger

Not a good burger. Too soggy, greasy, and messy. It's too expensive to be falling apart so easily. It made my stomach hurt afterwards.

It's fast food. I got the teriyaki chicken, which is kind of a general go to when in Seattle. It had absolutely no spice to it, of which I'm not accustomed. I like spicier chicken teriyaki. It was quick and they were pleasant. The ambience is that of a food court and there's usually just about no place to sit.

Great customer service and food is awesome!!!! Thank you for the delicious food and fun vibe.

Kalua pork and chicken katsu combo

I hardly ever go to any of the delis and eateries in the Uwajimaya food court, so I didn't expect to eat here. The food court itself has a decent amount of seating that fills up every weekend, though I came here with a friend on a Friday afternoon to get something quick to eat here. They have a good selection of combo plates and Musubi, and everything on the menu looked tempting. Since I only ordered up at the counter, no comment on service here. I got the kalua pork and chicken katsu combo here, and it came packaged in a box along with a side of Mac salad. This was all right at best; the pork was slightly more watered down than what I would have preferred, so there wasn't too much taste. The chicken katsu, however, was full of meat and somewhat bland but was very filling. The combo itself also came at a very good price for its quantity and even quality in this case.

I recommend Aloha Plates. Perfect crispy-ness. Fresh-breaded. Mac salad tasted new. Katsu sauce is awesome! My order was on time. Thank you for stapling the bag to preserve the heat! Best Chicken Katsu around! Very clean. Reminded me of the island. See you soon! Aloha

Katsu Loco Moco Spam Musubi Mac Salad - Cup
Andrew B.

I didn't expect to find this spot inside a grocery store shopping center. The service was really fast and attentive, and they were really friendly. You could smell the food as they were cooking it and it got me hyped. I got the chicken katsu loco moco (kinda new to me, I've only ever had the og), and it was good. The katsu chicken was the best part. The egg was a little overcooked so it wasn't runny, and the onions were undercooked so they hadn't really caramelized. I wanted to like this spot, but it might just be for the mac salad (that was actually really good).

Outsider BBQ & Beer Garden - Brisket, ribs and jalapeño cheeder sausage with corn casserole and potato salad

You know it's good when you pull up the establishment and they have not only a long line, but also a paper dictating what is sold out, which they update on a 10-15 minute interval. Waiting in line is the most time consuming part of this experience, as we probably waited 20-30 minutes to get to the front to place our order - which is good sign! You can definitely formulate what meats and sides you want as you get closer to the front. Parking for the restaurant is a bit difficult, I think the only options we found while visiting was streetside, and we were fortunate to find a spot only a block away. I could totally see it being impossible to find parking when it gets really busy in the area. Once you get your food, there is plenty of seating, from high tops, to booths, to tables, to outdoor seating with a fire pit. We got a good variety of items, which I'll review a couple down below: Brisket: A good brisket with a nice visible smoke ring. Similar to the pork belly, you can tell the skill of a barbecue restaurant from how their brisket is, and this brisket is delicious! Really meaty and pleasant smoke flavor. I think we did get a leaner cut of brisket as there wasn't as much fat to help with the leanness. Beef Cheek: A delicious cut of meat that melts in the mouth, and has a pleasant smokey flavor. Out of the three cuts of meat, this one was unfortunately salted the heaviest. The first couple of bites are delicious and really delicious, but it goes really overwhelming the more you eat it. If you order this, definitely get some sides to help. Pomegrante Pork Belly: A solid BBQ pork belly that has a pleasing fatty crust with a meaty interior. This is what I would consider a good baseline for a reputable barbecue restaurant. It is advertised as pomegrante pork belly, but I unfortunately wasn't able to taste any flavor of pomengrate - maybe a tiny bit in the glaze/bark but that could just be attributed to the sugar. Mac and Cheese: A pretty comforting side! bechamel sauce is really creamy and fully coats each noodle. The noodles were at the sweet spot of soft and having enough integrity to hold their shape. Cherry and Rhubarb Cobbler: Wow, this is an amazing dessert! I haven't had a cobbler where they added cardamom to the crust before, and I think it works spectacularly. The cardamom gives a nice floral taste to the crust, which is complemented by the tart and fruity filling. I think this is one of the better if not best desserts I've had a barbecue shop, and the small tweaks made were creative and delicious! In the end, I think we paid about $100 for everything you see here. Having been to a couple of BBQ places, I would say that it is pretty standard pricing. Good BBQ does take a lot of effort and it does come at a premium. Outsider BBQ is absolutely delicious - if you are looking to get some comforting food, they definitely have you covered. I would totally revisit to try their items that got sold out (missed the beef cheeks, need to try those!) the time we visited!

You order at the front, you bring it to your table, and you bus yourself. The first time we went, we actually left but most of the items were sold out, so we came back a week later and earlier in the day. The also close quite early, around 8 or 9pm depending on the day. There's both indoor and outdoor seating, and it's communal. We got the Pitmasters that serves around 4-5 people, there was 3 of us and we ate the rest the following day. I loved the ribs and the pulled pork sandwiched between a piece of bread and a pickle was delicious.

Wish we got her name for this review. She's always so nice. Anyway, the hush puppies are pretty tasty and big! $9.00 for 9, but even better when they're free! The tarter sauce is especially good and goes well with them. The BBQ class is also pretty amazing if you ever have a chance to so it. It comes with free drinks and a large sampling of various meats. Only one thing left to try on the menu and that the beef rib. It's 1.5 to 2lb and I don't think it comes with a side for $69.00. I hear it's well worth it, but wish it did come with a side.

On top of that, they offer a salad bar, fruit/dessert, and a sauce station to round out the meal. One day, lightning struck a tree, causing a massive forest fire that killed many animals. Our ancestors then discovered that cooked meat tasted much better than raw meat. This is why roast meat has always been regarded as an important part of the human diet. Today I gathered with friends and chose this barbecue restaurant. It's located north of Redmond, with a prominent sign and plenty of parking. Ambiance: The decor is creative, but it feels quite contradictory. Barbecue is inherently a very "Jianghu" (lively, rough-and-tumble) kind of thing, yet the restaurant leans toward an artistic, literary style. When I used to run my own restaurant, I followed a principle: avoid anything unrelated to the core dining experience. Seeing many books on the shelves here, I understand they're trying to bridge Jianghu and artistry -- but it clearly feels out of place. That said, the place is very clean, and the stickers/decorations are festive. Service: My high rating for this restaurant is largely based on the service. After we sat down, we were given free appetizers -- braised peanuts, which tasted great. The staff training is very professional, whether it's taking orders, making recommendations, attending to us during the meal, or checking on tables and refilling water. All excellent. Taste: Jianghu-style cuisine is characterized by boldness, satisfaction, and not sweating the small details. We ordered spicy hot pot (Malatang), spicy hot pot skewers, grilled beef, lamb, chicken gizzards, oysters, and many other items. First, the Malatang and spicy skewers tasted almost identical, so it felt like eating the same thing. The grilled skewers were just average -- neither good nor bad. The oysters were very tasty. However, the shrimp in the spicy skewers were very unfresh, which was disappointing. "By the way, the prices at 'Friendship Skewers' are anything but friendly -- I think it's quite overpriced overall."
