Decent price. Good food, I've tried most of the major things on the menu, and I've liked them (loco moco, chicken, etc). Great mac salad. Friendly service. But the rice isn't cooked properly. Why is it every Hawaiian place I go to can't make rice properly?! It's always mushy and that really ruins the dish. :( If there's anything I hate the most when having plate lunch is bad rice. That's a no-no. read more

There something about the sauce and macaroni salad that makes it yum! I get there teriyaki ribs and chicken! It's fresh which makes it yum. Also, the Thai girl servicing the front is always nice and has a warm smile. read more

Here's the deal, I'm not going to tell you that eating here will change your life. I'm not going to tell you eating here took me back to my time in Hawaii and it may not be the best Hawaiian food you'll ever eat. BUT.... It's pretty damn good. I get the lunch special once in a while and I always enjoy it. Yeah, it's not healthy and it's a ton of food for $7.50, but it is damn tasty. The people are always super friendly and the food gets out in a hurry. You can sit at the bar along the side of the kitchen and watch them make all the food as it's ordered in a clean kitchen. I've got no complaints at all about Aloha Plates, you should totally eat there, it's delicious. read more

I work just across the street, so the food court at Uwajimaya is my go-to when I'm in a hurry. As long as you calibrate your expectations for food-court food, you'll be just fine. If I actually bothered to check in every time I came here, I'd have dozens more. I end up at Aloha Plates somewhat more often than any of the other food vendors. Good food at good prices, served quickly. The woman at the front counter is a bit tough to understand due to a pretty thick accent, but we get things worked out OK. It's located about midway in the food court at Uwajimaya. Some of the menu is Hawaiian, the rest is random Asian stuff. I think your salad choices are green, macaroni and kimchi, if that says anything to you. I can't think of many other Hawaiian places around, so this a decent choice. read more

It's basically like a teriyaki joint. Just overpriced & quality isn't all that good. I got some meat from their & practically got bones. Wouldn't recommend. read more

I don't know why everyone is so excited about the macaroni salad, tasted like any other mac salad to me, good but...well, mac salad! The kalua pork with steamed cabage/rice/mac salad was about $8 and oh soo good! It was unattractive, a glob of shredded pork on a pile of cabage. It was salty, tender, juicy, YUM! Would go back for more! read more

We ordered dinner tonight from this restaurant and it was amazing. It really hit the spot. We had two kind of chicken- teriyaki and some breaded chicken that was delicious. Spam musubi was also great. The only thing I didn't like was the salad dressing- something white and tasting too strong for my taste. Thankfully the dressing was in separate containers so it didn't bother me at all. I never went in this restaurant but what we got today was super delicious! We'll definitely order from them again. Also they have great pricing. read more

The mac salad and the rice were on point, and the lady at the counter was very nice, but I was sadly disappointed in the kalua pig. While the flavor was all right (a little too salty, but not terribly so) and the pork was juicy, it was also very oily. There were puddles of oil pooled on the cabbage, which made the cabbage pretty unappealing. I know that some people think of the cabbage just as a nice nest to put the pork on, but as someone who usually really likes cabbage, I was a bit bummed. A friend got the spam musubi, and I think it was the biggest spam musubi I have seen in my life. I can't speak to how it tasted, but its mass was impressive. read more

Long wait for my food and they ran out of Sriracha and didn't offer another bottle when I showed him it was out!

I love this place so much! I went here with my boyfriend after the mariners game, during the game: he saw this hawainn or Japanese Family that brought their own snacks with them to the game and one of the snack was spam musubi and so we were looking for the closest spam musubi place close to the stadium and we found this place. It was so delicious! I feel like this place looked definitely underrated for what kind of taste they serve. And their spam musubies were only 2 for $4.99! Which is such a steal! I'd come here again for sure! read more

Their food is so good! I ordered the Huli Huli chicken. I will be ordering again for sure. It was cooked perfectly.

Best place to get kalua pig, the k&k combo (kalua pick and chicken katsu) or a loco moco in the International District. People may say that Marination Station has better "Hawaiian" food, but that's a food truck that comes by once a week and is a fusion which I will add a review about later. Anyhow, I dont ever order the teriyaki stuff so I cant speak to it, but the 3 dishes I do order above are very good. I usually only go for lunch since it's right across the street from my office and surprisingly the waits aren't long. I want to say I go there once or twice every 2 weeks which is a lot for me since I usually take food from home. read more

They have Spam eggs and rice here. Always delicious. I haven't gone back yet to try other things. Its looses a star because it was 8 bucks for spam eggs and rice (too pricey for what it is). That and because it has only a crowded dining bar (besides the cafeteria seating) read more

Decent food at decent prices. It's pretty much what you'd expect to get at a food court cafeteria. I had the kalua pork and chicken katsu (added a fried egg for fun) with a side of kim chi. The kalua pork was surprisingly tender and moist. The chicken katsu wasn't anything memorable. I could have done without the soggy kim chi. But all in all it wasn't bad and didn't make me regret it after wards. read more

Aloha Plates - Kalua Pork & Chicken Katsu Combo (added a fried egg) with a side of Kim Chi - Hawaiian Near Me - Seattle, Washington

If you're looking for a good Hawaiian plate lunch this is the place to go. It is located in the food court of Uwajamaya. They do very good fried fresh fish which changes frequently and my personal favorite the Katsu chicken sandwich. It is also a great place for a Kalua pork plate or sandwich. I'm not a huge fan of macaroni salad but they do an excellent version of it. I really never had anything bad and my husband loves it. The service is excellent and very attentive. You can also get Hawaiian Sun juices which come from Hawaii, they are the best. read more

We tried Aloha Plates because the boss was ordering lunch, and Meals 2 Go will pick up from here, and displaced kama`aina are pretty much always interested in trying another plate lunch place. I can find pretty much all the plate lunch goodies I want from other places near and dear to my heart, so I went for the only thing that no place in Seattle manages to get right: the kalua pig. It's the best I've had thusfar away from home, and that includes anything I can get from the poser L&L in Lynnwood. I visited in person the next time we were at Uwajimaya and suddenly understood why this place gets so many negative reviews. The rest of the food looks incredibly unappetizing, sitting under heat lamps in cafeteria-style bins, and the staff is beyond incompetent: the woman who took my order understood not a single word I said to her. I'll keep ordering the kalua pig, and closing my eyes while I do it. read more

Twas aiiight. The service was kind of lacking. I felt like I was disturbing them by giving them money. Ah well. It's not really a high end establishment or anything so I shouldn't expect too much. I got a Filipino Breakfast or something. They forgot my macaroni salad. So when I complained they gave me a giant box to-go. Yay... but too much mac salad is cancerous. Uughghhhhhhhh read more

I'm surprised by all the bad reviews. Maybe I have an unrefined palate, but I occasionally eat here when I'm at Uwaji's. It's not phenomenal, but it's not *that* bad. Or is it? Maybe I need to go back and see if I just wasn't paying attention. I guess sometimes I just scarf food down without thinking. I'm mentally lazy. read more

Katsu burger was very dank. Staff was COVID safe and super nice but food was very very dank. 10/10 will be back.

I'm a regular who gets the lunch special once or twice a week. It's not the best tasting Hawaiian food, but it'll do for lunch, quick in and out. read more

I had a friend bring me food from here, so I cannot speak to the actual experience of ordering and eating there. However, the food itself was delicious. I ordered a teriyaki combo with both chicken and short ribs and it was very tasty. While it was a little pricy for lunch, the portions were very generous and I ended up making two meals out of it. read more

Ugh. This place is terrible. Calling it Hawaiian food is an insult to both food, and the Hawaiian culture. Had my usual bbq beef and mac salad. Both were practically inedible (but being the hungry guy that I am, I somehow forced it down). My colon paid for finishing my meal. I've been here once. No desire to return. It is located in the Uwajimaya complex, so there is parking in their pay lot. You might also find street parking, but being in the heart of the international district makes it difficult. read more

I don't normally eat at the Uwajimaya food court, for good reason. But last Sunday, I was just too lazy to head out of Uwajimaya while grocery-shopping there. I decided to order the Kalua pig plate lunch. The pork had the texture of Kalua pig but it lacks any smokiness one typically associates with it. I am guessing they did not use liquid smoke when they were preparing the Kalua pig. The macaroni salad was just so so. I had much better Hawaiian food elsewhere in Seattle. read more

Came here with low expectations and starving. Had the lunch special terry chicken and chicken katsu combo. I must say the katsu was excellent. The terry chicken was good as well. I feel strange saying the katsu was the best I have had. This place is in a food court with the best katsu I have had??? I guess I'll give props where they are due. read more

This is just a place in a food court (quick lunch bites etc), so I probably should adjust my rating. Anyway, so I gave it a try yesterday and suffered food poisoning as a result. Service was okay. Maybe I ordered a wrong dish... read more

Lady behind the counter was rude. We have eaten there before, but not again. I had walked to the end of the corridor and bought a milkshake from another vender. My wife was sitting outside Aloha Plates eating Asian food. The milkshake was too thick for the straw, so I went up to the Aloha Plates counter and asked for a plastic spoon. The employee picked a a plastic spoon, then put it back in place. She said "Why don't you go back to where you bought that and ask them for a spoon." I thanked her for her "kindness," and left. She permanently lost customers and didn't even know it or care. We will not return. read more

One of my favorite food court places in Seattle, great portions, good food, and friendly staff. Good sized menu for a place so small.

I work in the ID and go to Aloha Plates every 3-5 weeks. The lady behind the counter is super friendly and always makes you feel welcomed. I always like their Kuala Pork and Chicken Katsu dishes. I decided to try something different this time and really liked it. I tried their tacos and got 4 of them (only $2 each), 2 with Kuala Pork and 2 with Chicken Katsu. I was surprised (never had tacos at a Hawaiian place before) at how tasty they were. It is definitely a good add on to a main dish or good just by itself. read more

The loco moco is delicious and the prices are very good. The owner and the staff were pleasant and attentive. I'll be eating here often.

This is my favorite place to eat!!! No issues at all!! Great food!! And customer service.

Split a Huli Huli plate. Definitely get your Huli chicken fried! It was amazing. The mac salad was so good- took me right back to the beach. The spam musubi was awesome too. read more

This is one of my favorite places to eat in the ID. Food is consistently tasty. Love the Mac salad and spam masubi. Huli huli chicken is also a favorite. The woman with the flower in her hair who usually runs the register is one of the sweetest ladies in the ID. Warm and sincere every single time, even when it seems busy. I don't know how she does it. read more

Born and raised in Hawaii, and imo this is the best Kalua pork in Seattle. I've ordered their katsu+ Kalua pork plate dozens of times and it's always been killer. You want real kalua pork? Aloha Plates delivers every time, flavor, portion size it's all there. Thanks Aloha Plates for taking me back home whenever I need some comfort food! read more

Ehhhhhh. My boyfriend and I were starving and just walking around chinatown, looking for something to eat. Not sure if it was because I wasn't craving Hawaiian or it really just wasn't all that great, but yeah that's what it was like for me. I wasn't really expecting anything special since it was food court food and I'm glad I didn't cause I tend to get really upset and regretful after when it comes to food.. I wouldn't really recommend this if you're craving Hawaiian food. read more

I get cravings for this place! A friend turned me onto this place and Ive been coming here for a couple years. I always order 1) the K&K combo or 2) Kahlua Pork plate. You get your choice of green salad or macaroni and brown rice or white rice. Both plates come with steamed cabbage. Omg so yummy and enough food for the whole day or tomorrows lunch. The service is always fast and friendly, its almost always the same smiling face taking your order. They have their own seating area if you dont want to sit out in the regular food court. Just writing this review is making me hungry for Aloha plates. read more

i reeeeally wanted to like it since its so close to work. went back a few times and tried different things. everything was lackluster. the food is on the bland side. the last dish i tried was the moco loco, which was horrid. the gravy was completely unseasoned and the egg had runny egg whites, which really grosses me out. if you try the place, please take heed--DO NOT DRINK THEIR WATER. its really...really nasty. ugh. i hate leaving bad reviews, but i was completely unimpressed by this place. read more
