All Pro finished our new patio cover this week and we couldn't be more pleased! John and his team are professional, thorough, and extremely knowledgeable. We had another company set to do the work but they failed to appear on time (more than one hour late) the day they were coming out to write up the contract. At the recommendation of a neighbor who hired All Pro a few years ago, we decided to check them out. We are so glad we did! All Pro has a very extensive list of references and their work is beautiful. From the demolition of the old patio to the new installation of a solid roof patio with skylights and new electrical, the work went very smoothly. The demo team was great and Doug, the patio installer and electrician was awesome! He consulted with us during every step of the installation to make sure we were on the same page and that we were happy. We receive phone calls the evening before or the morning of to let us know when people were showing up - and everyone showed up on time. We are thrilled with our new patio. Craig provided necessary plans and drawings for me to proceed with confidence. Eric, John, and the staff assisted me with viable financial options. Last summer (2013) we contracted with All-Pro to install a bi-level aluminum patio cover for us. I dealt mainly with John, the owner. He was very pleasant. Patio was installed, but it was not level. It was re-installed properly and looks great, and we have received many compliments on it. Between then and now (June 2014) the caps for the main beams and the rafters would fall off sometimes, and I would get a ladder and put them back on. A few days ago a cap came off of one of the rafters that is on the top level rafters that cannot be reached since they all blocked by the lower level ones. So I called All-Pro at 9:00 in the morning and explained what had happened, thinking that they would respond in a timely manner to keep the customer happy. I was told that they will give the message to John. I called again at 4:30 pm and this time John answered the phone. After explaining the problem he stated that they are very busy and if they come over for that I would be charged a service charge. I asked him about the warranty. He said that warranty does not cover caps and that I should use silicon to glue it in place. I stated that it probably should have been done from the beginning since these caps come off on a regular basis, and also that I cannot even reach it. Well... John's attitude soon changed... basically talking over me and stating that warranty does not cover it and there will be a ~$150 service charge, and that his guys will not do the work for free. I stated that I was disappointed that now I'm getting this kind of customer service now, but it didn't seem to make a difference to him. I'm disappointed that I referred John and All-Pro to several people who really liked my patio now that I learn how their response is to post-installation issues. I've experienced far better customer service than this. I thought perhaps I'm being too picky until I read other reviews on Yelp. Next time when I'm asked about the patio I would have to give them the entire experience; pre and post installation. read more

This company is a joke. Dont question the quote because Craig the salesman hangs upon you. The quote was padded incredibly. Permits and engineering was way over what a permit and engineering should cost. When questioned Craig got mad and hung up. It also took a week to get the quote emailed to us. We're delighted with our new patio cover. The entire experience was picture perfect. John was very helpful in deciding on the approach, even guiding us away from a few more costly choices that he didn't think appropriate. His estimator was thorough and detailed in describing what would happen and when, and we wrote up the proposal together while he was here. We had to have the old cover removed, and his demo guys were fast, efficient, and cleaned everything up totally after they were through. When the day came to do the installation, we watched amazed at how quickly it came together. And the final product is beautiful. The workmanship was first class. They installed our lights and fans, and even programmed the remotes! The price was to the penny what we were initially quoted. John Johnston is very informed on products available, suggestions that fit my budget, permits and home owners association requirements. He was always timely for appts, promised quotes, installation was performed on schedule, and finishing touches were completed. Our home in Fullerton had a wood patio cover that we decided to replace with an aluminum cover. I called 3 different companies. Each company had very similar products. We decided to go with All Pro Remodeling. We met with Merv. He was very knowledgeable. He drew up a diagram of our patio as we were talking about the products. He gave us a quick history on their business and gave us a list of references we could contact. He gave us a fair quote and left us to think about it. No pressure. When we called John for the business, he was very polite. He had Merv come back to our home to write up the contract. Merv explained exactly how the payment process works. A few days later Curt came to our home to do another measurement and photograph our patio. He explained it would take about 4 weeks for the demo and a few days later for the install. Exactly 4 weeks later a very friendly crew removed our patio and left the area clean. A few days later the installation crew came. They were very professional. They quickly installed the patio and cleaned up all the debris. The patio is beautiful. Perfectly straight and level. We are very happy with our entire experience with All Pro Remodeling. We love our new patio cover! We just had it installed January 2019 (while it was raining, on purpose). The experience we've had with the entire crew with All-Pro Remodeling has been excellent. Beginning with Mervyn, whom we met with 3 years ago. He was timely, knowledgeable, kind and not pushy at all when trying to sell their product. At that time, we weren't ready to purchase the Patio cover, but was so impressed by his kindness and knowledge that we recommended him and All Pro to our neighbors who did purchase a patio cover and loved it and their service. Three years later when we were ready we met with Mervyn again and received the same warm and kind service we remembered. We received constant communication from their entire staff beginning with their demo team (who by the way left not a single piece of construction laying anywhere when completed) Sebastian, the structural engineer who took final measurements and called me several times to finalize plans, to Eric and John who were available for additional instructions from me (placement of fans, times available for installation, to just general information) and finally Douglas Sauceda the actual installer. The icing on the cake was Douglas! He was an incredible installer with an eye for proper finishing details and a prideful disposition in his work. I always say there is no substitute for hard work, and Douglas was the definition of that. He kept us in constant communication about scheduling, arrival and departure times, awareness of privacy while working and helping us with finishing decisions. He stayed late working very hard and cleaning up. He made sure to properly pace himself to allow for extra inspection, sealing (super important because we had them install while raining), cleaning and overall look of the product. I'm sure all your installers are great, but I recommend Douglas as he cares more about the finished product being a quality product rather than finishing fast, as I'm sure most clients would want. We were referred to APR by a friend who had previously used their services to construct a patio cover (and we're sure glad they did). From the moment we entered their office, we felt really comfortable that we picked the right company. We also wanted a patio cover and Eric was very helpful in explaining the different options available and the owner, John, also got involved to explain different aspects we hadn't considered. APR handled all the necessary permits and paperwork for the City and our HOA. Our designer, Mervyn, was very knowledgeable and was a real pleasure to work with when he came to our house to get the necessary info to design our particular cover. We are extremely picky people so we interviewed many contractors for our dream deck. We found All Pro to be detailed in the presentation as well as the product development. We are very satisfied with the All Pro team that built our outdoor room with deck. Everyone was so polite, listened to our concerns when we had them and responded promptly when we had questions. They weren't the cheapest (you shouldn't go for cheap with construction projects) but even our city inspector said it would be the best place to be in an earthquake. All-Pro remodeling, experiences: Absolutely thrilled with the results, I'm positive the increase of my property value well exceeds the cost of this project. What we built is a 16 foot by 25 foot gabled patio cover with a solid insulated roof, lighting, ceiling fans and electrical outlets. What we gained is an additional 400 square feet of useable and livable area to enjoy the wonderful California outdoors. We are pleased beyond words and wished we would have done this years ago. Following is a chronological order of our experiences: Having an engineering background I had delusions of building this patio cover myself. I had done the calculations, created some sketches, created a materials list, estimated my time and labor. I spent another few days pricing the materials and had a comfortable idea how much this project was going to cost me. My wife first saw the All-Pro Remodeling advertisement and we decided to check out All-Pro's showroom. We were met by Eric who walked us through the numerous displays and took the time to answer to all our questions. We left with an information packet that we later poured over. We decided to visit the showroom again. This time we were met by Rory and we scheduled an onsite visit with John. John's visit was comfortable, we weren't rushed and we felt good about the discussions. We talked about what look we were going for, lighting needs including fans and outlets. John took some measurements and made some talking sketches to ensure he understood what we wanted. With the sketches and measurements in hand he would do some material calculations and call to reschedule a meeting. At our next meeting we reviewed the preliminary design and the cost. I was surprised at the cost .... in a good way. I honestly could not justify doing this myself and we decided to schedule the job. Kurt came by a day later and took official measurements. We spoke as he measured to ensure what my vision of the patio cover matched what he was told. From these measurements official engineering documents were created. The engineering calculations called for some substantial footers that required saw cutting through the existing concrete patio and some excavating by hand. The guys that came, Tom, Jesus and Matt, were polite, friendly, neat and quick about their work. Next came the inspector, his sign off and the pouring of the concrete footers setting the steel columns in place. Curing time can't be rushed despite all my wishes. The materials and the cover construction crew arrived at the agreed on time. Duke, Bob, and Brian were masters at their work, polite, clean and efficient at their trade. They coordinated with the inspectors to ensure each stage was properly completed. The construction was really fast, taking less than two days to complete. We are very satisfied and happy customers. Three plus years ago I had my patio cover remodeled by All Pro Remodeling and it turned out great. Less than a month ago I moved to Chino Hills, overlooking Western Hills Country Club with a fabulous view of the golf course. Buying a new home with a great view I also needed a patio to match, so I called All pro and talked to the owner John Johnston. He came out to my new home and designed a patio including two 220 Watt electric heaters, 3" insulated roof 40 feet long by 15 feet deep. The patio faces West so he included two 18 ft. power fiberglass screens with remote controls that work with the push of a button, plus two ceiling fans, can lights and flood lights that light up the trees at night on the 17th Fairway. As you can guess I am really pleased with the work and finished project . All of this was completed by his installers in a professional way and time. John's bid was not the lowest, but a I know I got the best deal for the money . I would recommend All Pro Remodeling to my friends and family and would not hesitate to use them again. We recently had 2 patios installed and are extremely satisfied with the whole process. Everything from the Sales person (Merv), designer (Curt), price negotiations, installation and follow up went extremely well. We shopped around at several places and they were by far the best price and seemed to be the most knowledgeable on what could and could not be included in the installation. The installers, Duke and crew were incredible. Showed up on-time, worked with us on the finishing touches and cleaned up every day and finished the project on time. This was a major project involving 2 separate patio covers in which one (connected to the house and added an outdoor living space almost the length of the house) involved both louvers and solid ceiling with lights,outlets and ceiling fans. The installation was flawless even though changes were made during the installation. I have worked with many contractors and APR has by far been the most pleasant experience i have had. read more

Wake up All Pro, this is not Saudi Arabia! Women can own property and even put in a patio cover, if they want! I was told that is their policy. We have lived in our house in Villa Park for 35 years and have made lots of quality improvements. The best improvement by far, is the Patio cover designed by All Pro. The process went perfect, the approval from the city was the next day. We have heaters, fans and a drop screen. They completed all the wiring for the outdoor TV. Our second experience was 180 degrees opposite from our first. We used All Pro to replace our rotted wood balcony railing and decided to also resurface the floor of the balcony. It took over six months to finish the simple job, solely due to incredibly long delays in providing covers for the bolts that go on the bottom of where the posts attach to the balcony floor. In fact, when the installers first came to put the covers on, they were the wrong color (the entire railing system was white, but the covers they brought were gray, and the team began installing them). Why the wrong color was ordered, we don't know, but once we saw what they were doing, we stopped them, so they had to remove what they'd started, and get the correct color covers ordered. That was delay # 1. The correct covers came, but not enough of them - delay # 2. And here's where all communication disappeared. The company made NO effort to check in with us re: when the additional covers were supposed to arrive (*WE* initiated contact for progress reports several times over several months!!). So disappointed. All customer service went south. It shouldn't be the homeowner that does all the heavy lifting where communication is concerned (especially when it's a *REPEAT* customer). They really dropped the ball and made the experience ridiculously inefficient and prolonged. read more

We were shopping at Home a Depot for other items when we we approached by a All Pro Remodeling Rep who took our phone number and advised us that someone would contact us. The next Monday Craig Steele contacted me and setup an appointment to give us a estimate on 2 patio covers. One 14' x 16' and one 8' x 10' . We met with Craig Steele who gave us an estimate of the patio covers which we thought was a bit over priced at approximately $10K. In approximately 4 days we received an email with the estimates with 2 options. As I reviewed the estimates I observed a line time with a charge of approximately $1780.00 which was just for demolition cost and permit and plans. I checked with our City Building Permit Department who advised us that the cost of the permit wouldn't cost more than $250.00 I then called All Pro Remodeling and asked if they could explain the discrepancy. Craig Steele called me back attempted to explain the cost which included the demo, drawing and permit. I asked him to break down the line item cost and explain them to me. He then hung up the phone on me. I attempted to call him back and his phone went to voicemail. I don't think this is a professional way to speak or treat your customers and I would not recommend this company to anyone I know. I hope this review helps others. I am always told that the customer is always right especially when they are asking questions to explain the cost of the product. I would not recommend this company at all. read more

We had to go to a car place for parts..had no intention of even stopping by you, but decided...lets go see the place. We NEVER received any type of quote. And gee, you write back 2mos later?? Salesman did call me back after my 1st post-(but didn't return calls after i left 3messages in aout a 2 week span) said his mom got a hip replacement (I then had knee replacement-10x worse) & I THINk not sure, that he was taking some time off-I could be a little off on that part. Also said he would not & your company did not email,quotes but when reading other yelp,posts, I see you did in the Past. We only wanted a general beginning price..nothing written in stone because we knew we had to select some things at your place. Which I think we ended up doing on that day we stopped. No need t go on w this...we called Rooms & Covers in Ontario & putting in a bigger cover than we had before. It might be good to have some of your very happy clients write reviews here...I do understand that people mostly go on here to write negativity. read more

We had All Pro Remodeling tear down an extensive wood patio cover and deck, and install a large Elitewood patio cover, a gable, a new balcony, and a sliding glass door. We are extremely pleased with our new patio cover and the other elements, both in terms of the design and workmanship. John at All Pro worked with us throughout the entire project. He was very responsive, professional, and courteous, as was every member of the crews that worked on the tear-down and new construction. The job was pretty complicated from a design and construction standpoint, and we always found that All Pro listened to our concerns and preferences and addressed them, and that All Pro was committed to making sure we were satisfied. Going through a mini-remodel and the first thing we did was to remove the old, wooden, termite eaten patio cover. When I contacted John from All Pro to help us, he came to our house and made several suggestions for our new patio cover. We wrote it up and the first of the remodel began! His crew came one day and within a couple of hours they removed the old cover and I don't think there was even any dust remaining on the patio after they left. The building crew arrived early on the scheduled morning to erect the new cover and what a team! They were all over that patio -- installing the roofing, the posts, trim, lights... asking me often if I wanted the lights in a particular place, how wiring would be performed, any design decisions they felt I should confirm during the building process. They were professional, thorough, respectful to our home and neighbors and did a great job. Now we have an entire patio "room" outside, complete with a TV and cable box! We're looking forward to football games and "triple crown" parties on the patio. It's so beautiful and this new cover has turned our patio into a fun place to entertain or just relax.
