TL;DR In the end, I got the patio cover I wanted. However, they jerked me around a bit getting there. I needed to replace an old south-facing rotting wood patio cover. My criteria were low maintenance, long lasting, good against heavy sunlight, and the ability to walk on top of it. The solution was a white insulated aluminum patio cover. Of those I contacted, two contractors returned bids, and I opted for Patio Warehouse. They were professional and well prepared. The price was about the same. The downsides. I had an old wood lattice patio that was almost 40 years old, Patio Warehouse dismantled the old patio very carefully with no damage to the concrete roof tiles. Some of the roof facia needed replacing because of dry rot. Patio Warehouse installed new facia board, not all patio companies will do this. I decided on a Elitewood Ultra lattice patio cover, this material is the best out there, the patio looks stunning. We had Patio Warehouse build a sunroom for us which was completed several months ago. It was a great experience overall and we're very happy we went with them. The entire in-house team was great to work with start to finish and provided excellent customer service with every touchpoint, from Bennie in Sales, Karra at the front desk, Jeanelle in permitting, Jose and crew for demo and installation, Kevin for post-installation support, and Tony as the overall PM, who was incredibly responsive on any questions or concerns I had. One thing I appreciated is they were able to work around my timeline as I was also trying to get my roof replaced which caused some delay. Granted the project wasn't without minor issues, as is expected with any large project, but what matters to me is they addressed them to satisfaction. For example, it did take a while to replace a torn screen but it's fine now. As for the sunroom, we love the extra space and use it every day. It's currently setup as a playroom. The space was a patio before which we hardly used. For the build process, once we reached the installation stage, the actual sunroom build only took a little over a week which was impressive. Prior to that there are still steps for demo, permitting, manufacturing, and in our case laying a new foundation, etc. so it's not a quick process but Patio Warehouse provides all stages and anticipated timeframes upfront so you know what to expect. Financing was also easy through their partnered bank. After the build, we had skim coating of the house wall done, along with painting and flooring through other vendors but those are services that Patio Warehouse offers as well. A few last notes: *Our sunroom did get warm especially this past summer during the heatwave but we anticipated that and setup a floor AC unit vented through a window which worked well. A mini-split would probably work even better. Now that it's Autumn and the weather has cooled down, it's quite pleasant out there, especially with all the windows open. *I was a little worried about mentions of 'popping' noises I read about in other reviews but I've hardly noticed anything and it's been a few months now. I heard it maybe 3-4 times in that duration...it kind of sounds like someone leaning on the wall for a quick second and doesn't bother us at all. *We didn't want to drill into the walls but wanted privacy at night so used Command curtain hooks on the metal frame part, not the wall part as it doesn't stick well to those. Then paired those with thin wood dowels as curtain rods and lightweight sheer curtains and it's been working well so far. *I'm hoping we don't have any issues with leaking this coming rainy season but they do have a period for a few years to address any such issues that might arise. Overall it was a great experience in working with Patio Warehouse and we love the extra space the sunroom provides. So I decided to go with them and boy am I glad I did! Everyone I dealt with was professional and kind, which is very important to me. They gave me timelines on when to expect the product to come in, when the install would start, finish, etc. They met or exceeded every deadline. We love our new patio cover addition! The process throughout was top notch and Patio Warehouse staff was nothing but professional from the beginning to end. We reached out and was provided with several different options and looks for the patio cover. Once we knew what we wanted, we let them know and we got a detailed quote for it. They then sent a guy out to our house to assess and confirm dimensions or any other engineering concerns. We were told it could be a few months before project completion, mainly due to the materials backlog, but it actually only took about one month...and once materials were in, they scheduled an appointment with us the next day and were able to complete the build within 1.5 days! If you want/need a permit, they can either take care of that process for you (added cost) or provide you with the engineering plans in case you need it later (added cost as well). Chris and his dad were the ones that came out to do the build and they were both exceptional. I only talked to Chris and he was very friendly, patient with my questions, and always punctual, which makes for planning around WFH meetings super convenient. He walked me through everything he they were going to do iteratively throughout the day so, which was great. The material we got was Elitewood Classic, which is basically Cedar pattern-embossed aluminum with teflon coating. It mimics the look of wood without the hassle of maintenance or fear of termites chewing it up (which was a big deal to me; termites scare me like no other). When all was said and done, all the joints and junctions looked clean and square, which is also a big deal to me, as I'm slightly OCD when it comes to these things! They actually just finished the build today, so I haven't gone out to enjoy it yet...but based on the the look, the feel, and the professionalism and friendliness of the staff, I would highly recommend Patio Warehouse! read more

Owner Jarod came out to do the estimate. He is the kind of person I love to deal with, straight forward and no bs. Their price is on part with other estimates I got. The company is very organized and stayed on top of things every steps of the way. I can see why they get so many good reviews. However the subcontractors they hired is less than perfect. My patio is constructed with paving stones. I extended my patio cover, where the old posts used to be the concrete footing needs to be removed and put paving stones on top of it. And for the new posts, paving stones needs to be put in after they put the new pole but before the put the wrapping around the poles. I assume Patio Warehouse will do the work and was not told I had to find someone to do the paving stones work. So when their subcontractors told me they don't do the paving stone part of the work, I was in scrabble. I asked them if I can pay extra to have it done, they refused. I said ok, I will have someone come back to do the paving stones but that means they will need to come back another day to wraps the posts after the paving stone is put in. The foreman said that's fine but the company will charge me extra if they need to make another trip!! That sounds ridiculous. So I called Jarod and he assured me he will take care of it. Jarod said they can do the paving work and he will send me a change order. Seeming the subcontractor's lack of interest to do the paving work, I called my landscaper back and ask him if he can do it for me. He said yes. Later to my surprise, the subcontractor started to fix the paving stones. I told the foreman I already find someone else. He said I thought you signed the change order. I told him I didn't. But it's ok, if he wants he can have the job and I will sign the change order. He than tell me he doesn't want to. I said ok, that's fine too. So I ended up having my landscaper come back to fix the paving stones and to my surprise I was charged $700 extra for "part of paving stones work" being done by the subcontractor. When I complained, Jarod apologized said this shouldn't have happened and he waved the charge. I dealt with so many different contractors, and I am really impressed with Patio Warehouses not because everything went smoothly but because how they took care of their customers when the unexpected happens. read more

When we decided to go with them we paid our deposit and they came out to check dimensions, materials, colors, etc, two more times! The first was initially after we OKed the job and the second time was after the permit was pulled and they were ready to order the materials. A bit of a warning: This is not a quick process. It takes time to write up the plans for the city and to get the permit. It takes more time for the patio to be manufactured and additional time to get the installation scheduled and, ultimately, get the patio installed. What I will tell you is that it is worth the wait. Our installer, Frank, and his two assistants worked diligently and professionally to complete the job to our satisfaction. Communication from Frank was outstanding. He pointed out to me that one of the outlets included with an outdoor housing was not outdoor rated and that he would be back to replace it. I would have never known that. I really appreciate his honesty and integrity. I also have to praise the office staff at Patio Warehouse. Justine was always pleasant and efficient when I would call and Karra, the office manager, was extremely helpful and patient. Sales team were great. Jarod sketched up the perfect layout. Installation went very smooth and was expertly done. We are very pleased with the quality and finish. The materials were very heavy duty so we expect a long lasting patio cover! We didn't realize the insulated, heavy duty roof could be walked on but it holds 800 lbs so any maintanence to the second floor is easily done off the patio cover roof, plus the white roof and 2" XPS insulation will keep it cool in the summer, warm in the winter. read more
