Installers out today to put in my new patio cover. 94 today and they drove 2 hours to get here at 10, left at 6pm for another 2 hour drive home. Never complained about the heat and kept working. They worked hard all day. Were very pleasant and cleaned up after themselves. Couldn't have been nicer. Told in beginning 2-3 weeks to install, took 49 days. Was upset couldn't get copy of permit until I posted a negative review. I would have appreciated being kept updated and not me having to call to get status. Would go a long way to keeping customers happy if they know what is going on. In the end very happy with patio and looking forward to enjoying it. read more

This is my first time using Superior Awning and I have been unimpressed with the experience, service, and the communication I have had thus far in particular with the office. I have been working with Joe E who has been great and very accommodating with me. When it came time to scheduling my install, I received an email from Vanessa letting me know they'd be in touch within 2-3 weeks to schedule. I ended up receiving a call earlier than that which was even better. I spoke with Rose on the phone and she told me the crew would be installing today- (Wednesday) and they would come between 12-2. I thought that was an odd time frame given it's such a large project- it was a brand new structure that they were installing but I rolled with it. I ended up calling back a couple days later to see if perhaps they could squeeze me in the am. When I called, I spoke with Vanessa who was incredibly rude and told me they don't have set times for their workers. I've never heard of that before most business have windows of arrival time that they provide their customers. Anyways, she connected me to Rose again since I let her know that she told me originally between 12-2. Rose too was telling me that they don't set times for their drivers, however, was able to set it up where they were scheduled to arrive between 9-11am. Today comes around and Vanessa calls me, I'm currently on a work call so I couldn't answer but she leaves me a message and says " the crew will be there between 12-2". At this point, I'm annoyed so I call the office back and again speak with Vanessa who goes on to tell me that they don't provide times. Isn't that was your voicemail was!? The incompetence in this office was something I've never experienced before. I couldn't believe these people are the ones helping customers. I ended up speaking with Bertha- the manager who too wasn't that pleasant to speak with and she goes on to tell me that the guys were arriving to my house in 15 minutes. Clearly, no one in that office communicates and should be an embarrassment to the company. The awnings and projects are not cheap, I'm spending thousands of dollars and I expect there to be a much more streamlined process. To make matters even worse, half of the material that was brought to my house was the wrong color so the guys couldn't finish the job. They let me know the wrong color was ordered. Isn't that something that should've been checked prior to you leaving the office?? In addition, the installers seemed to have installed what they could today incorrectly. I text a picture to Joe and he was upset and told me he was taking care of it right away! The crew is scheduled to arrive back tomorrow morning- let's hope that 1) they show up in the am. 2) the materials are correct this time, and 3) that the install goes correctly. I know this company has a general good reputation which is why I went with them but good god has this whole experience been quite the shit show! read more

I called Superior Awning to have them change the fabric on my elderly Mothers retractable awning, salesman showed up on time, very knowledgeably walked me through the entire process. When it was time for the install the office called me to schedule while I was out of town, so I told them my elderly Mother would be home alone and may be very nervous. They told me it would be no problem that I didn't need to be there and they would be very polite and quiet, she has nothing to worry about. My Mother called me after they finished and said the installers were so nice and made her laugh the whole time they were there, I was so impressed because she was in such a great mood when she called. I installed a 12' wide custom roller shade with heavy fabric. It is wire guided to secure it from Santa Ana wind. This is to protect a roof deck sliding door from heavy rain. There is no off the shelves solution for this. Sales rep Mr Andy Albert came out, heard what I need and suggested this design on the spot. He is very knowledgeable. Installation took 2 visits. One for the first install and the 2nd for touch up. After the initial installation I needed some adjustments, Andy and the company promptly replied and resolved my needs. This is a small project for them but means a lot to me. If you need custom awning or rolling shades they are your best choice. read more

We asked for a 600-sq-ft slide-on-wire rectangular awning to fit a very tight and oddly shaped yard. Superior said they could do it, and to their credit they eventually did. (Finished last week.) But during the process, nobody seemed to be in charge, and their communications were terrible. They forgot to include $2K worth of basics in their original bid, as we learned only after our bidding process. During the installation phase, when new information prompted design changes, we were not reliably informed as to when the installers would (and would not) show up, leading to exasperating extra workarounds on our part to accommodate their schedule. And the final invoice did not include a credit that we had been promised, so we had to remind them--and even then did not get the full credit due. read more

Our backyard gets really hot especially during the summer in Hollywood Hills. We already had awnings that had been up for over 20 years. They didn't look bad and were still in tack. But it was time to replace them. I called Superior Awning and scheduled an app. A nice man named Ken showed up right on time to give us an estimate. He measured and showed me some designs and colors. I replaced both awnings in the same color but I chose a different design that Ken recommended for a more of a contemporary look. So glad I did because both turned out great. I'm not sure if this awning company is too big or what. Sales Consultant Ken Burgio was sent out to take measurements of the work to be done. Trust and believe Ken doesn't listen. He'll just go on and on about what he thinks should be done, not listening to me, the customer. It's a waste of time to deal with him at all. My time spent with him was a completely waste of my time. The installers that came out were more attentive and listening to what I wanted. After 4 times, of the installers coming out, because Mr. Burgio was a non listener, it was finally done right. Who has time like this to waste? I know I don't. The awning is beautiful but I had to deal with so much nonsense from Sales Consultant Ken Burgio that it takes away from the beauty of the awning. The installers were superb, all 4 different teams that came out to my property. Maybe the 4 different teams of Installers can teach Mr. Burgio some basic 101 basic customer service skills? They were far more attentive than he was. They were knowledgeable, polite and kind, unlike Mr. Burgio. read more
