    So level and plumb that installing a this stool (or sill, as some call it) was a breeze!

    I can't believe I forgot to write a review, because buckle up, you're not gonna believe this..... So back in Jan 2024, I moved into a new condo. "New" to me, but 50+ years old to the world. About a month or so later, we started having all that rain and wouldn't you know it, there were leaks. MAJOR leaks that had been happening for years and pretty much damaged all the drywall on one side of the house. HOA was responsible for ripping out all the damaged drywall and repairing the roof and stucco leaks and they did just that. Then came the trouble. We were required to pass a water test before HOA would schedule the new drywall installation, which makes sense. However, we failed the water test due to windows the previous owner had installed that were just shoved into the old exterior wooden frames, and the wooden frames had begun to rot. So after scouring Yelp, we decided on Jon's. The guy that came to take measurements actually lived in the area so he was familiar with our HOA's rules and certain codes. The windows had to be special ordered, they arrived slightly late but that was on the factory. Install day came and went, everything was smooth....until the NEXT water test. Just like before, there was leaking near the windows. Now, Jon and his team apologized and came out to fix everything they could find that would be a potential for leaking. But come the next few water tests....same thing. Again, Jon and the stucco guys he used did their absolute best and even went so far as to completely replace the moisture barrier and stucco on part of the wall, yet the leaks persisted. Jon himself even came to the water tests to see for himself. Every time, HOA insisted it was our vendor's fault there were leaks. Finally, Jon suggested a third party inspector to come in and look around. Wouldn't you know it, this guy took one look at the old moisture barrier (which is part of the exterior, therefor HOA's responsibility) and told us there was absolutely no way in hell we were ever going to pass a water test because this 50+ year old barrier was ripped and degraded beyond repair!! With that, HOA relented and took responsibility, completely replacing the moisture barrier and stucco on an ENTIRE side of my unit. And surprise, surprise, we were finally able to pass a water test and get our new drywall installed earlier this year. (Yes, I was living with gutted walls for TEN MONTHS while this was all happening) Throughout the ordeal, Jon and his team stood by their work, going above and far, FAR beyond what was necessary. My mom and I were so grateful for everything they did. I am now working on trimming the windows they so beautifully installed, that have not leaked at all.

Michael Crooks was very responsive as a company rep and everything he quoted was delivered just as he said. The quality of the shower is excellent and we love the Koehler fixtures. We chose black on white to assist those with visual deficits and really like how they turned out! The fold down seat is also a plus for those with endurance challenges! The demolition andinstallation team of Jose, Gabriel and Jairo could not have done a better job! They were timely, efficient and professional. They demolished the shower and tub one day and took away all the debris. Then, the next day, they built the frame and installed the new walk in shower exactly as we requested. They were pleasant to have on our property and we're considerate in where they set up their workstation and parked their trucks. We did have a challenge posed by the installation day with company coming to visit us... And they worked out a mutually agreed upon date that met our needs. I highly recommend this company.. ask for this team of installers! You won't regret it!!

I love that Designer Door and Window has in house installers rather than just selling the product and making the customer find a contractor. But when I asked for that specification to be confirmed in the contract, in writing, Art refused. Let me be clear: I wasn't asking for a personal warranty on the product. I simply wanted confirmation that the installed window, as ordered and managed by Paul's Windows, would meet the functional requirement I had clearly communicated. Art repeatedly deflected, referring to "what the manufacturer said," but was unwilling to take responsibility for the result. When I asked for accountability, he became dismissive and eventually walked away from the job. I contacted Paul directly, hoping for a more professional response. Instead, I received a generic brush-off and a claim that the window wouldn't meet the specs, which contradicts what their own sales associate had already confirmed. Worse, Paul didn't acknowledge or engage with any of the valid concerns I raised around basic customer service, transparency, or professional responsibility. Ultimately, I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable. I was hiring a company to manage a job and deliver a specific result. If something went wrong, say, the manufacturer provided a window that didn't meet the spec, it would be on the contractor to resolve it, not on me to go chase down the supplier. That's what any responsible company would do. But Paul's Windows made it clear they don't see it that way. If you're okay with vague communication, contractors who won't stand behind their own work, and potentially being left to deal with problems on your own, maybe this company is fine. But if you want clarity, professionalism, and accountability in writing, then look elsewhere. § Paul's response below is a classic damage control move -- polite on the surface, but full of deflection and quiet rewriting of events. To clarify: the window in question would have met the required 13" clear opening. That wasn't in dispute. After signing the contract the windows were ordered and arrived in about 3 weeks. The installation team worked quickly and Art was there to see it complete. Retrofitted the windows to fit in my existing frames to avoid having to work on the wall. Added the grids to match the style of the old windows since I have a condo and HOA would probably have an issue if not everyone's windows matched since it's a shared building.

Such professionals, clean up is spotless, team are friendly, everything on schedule and with customer service respect. Love these guys. But this time, there is an exception to my review because I want to offer deep loving kudos: On the last day of installation, I experienced a medical emergency and had to have emergency surgery on my left eye to prevent me going blind. It all happened so fast and I was rushed to the hospital, leaving the team on their own in my home with my two cats. When I returned late that evening, the team had completed the installation, completely cleaned up my home and made sure my cats were safe. The next day, they checked in to see how I was doing, with no request for their final payment, which was due the day before! The money was not their immediate concern - my wellbeing came first. Top rate, first class, the best. I paid them a few days later, without them ever asking me for the payment. That was last year...and as with my other properties the windows are all fabulous and flawless and my relationship with Shant and his team is love for life. Thank you, thank you to all of you.

They do both residential and commercial so I completed their form online to get a quote. Cathy called me a few hours later with a quote and I was comfortable with the price since they specialize in this service. I received an email one day prior to my appointment to view and confirm. On the day of the appointment, I received a text one hour before the appointment time. As I was looking out my window to see if there was parking, I saw their truck sitting by curb 30 minutes before the appointment time. I went to see if Jaime could work on it now rather than wait. The window's tint was dark and the sunshade was up so I wasn't sure if he was in the truck. Luckily, Jaime got out as I was walking back to my place. I told him that I didn't want him to come in my place to remove the screens since I didn't want to clean the floors when he was done. He offered to wear booties and I was good with that. I asked the reason for coming in my place and he said just to remove the screen. I said that I can do them but one screen's tabs were broken. He told me to push it up then push out which was super easy to do. Anyway, he looked at my screen and said that there were no holes so I don't need to change them. I said that I need new pull tabs so that I can remove the screens to clean the windows. He said that I do need to replace the screens if I wanted new pull tabs. He showed me a large metal square one and one short and narrow one. They were much sturdier than the cheap plastic ones that I had. I stood and watched him remove the old screens and install the new ones. It was fun watching and talking to him while he repaired the screens. It took him about 45 minutes to set up and repair my screens. He said that that there's one year warranty. Overall, I am very happy with their customer service and product. I highly recommend them and they have a customer for life.
