During the recent windstorm we forgot to retract the awning and it was damaged. I first called the original installer, and unfortunately the experience was very disappointing. The first thing they told us was that the damage wouldn't be covered because we didn't retract it during the wind storm, and the customer service was extremely rude. It also reminded me how difficult it was working with them in the first place, they gave us the runaround for almost 6 months before the original installation. After that, I reached out to Where Shade Is Made, and the difference was night and day. I spoke directly with the owner, who assured me I would get a call Monday morning to schedule the repair. Sure enough, Monday morning I received a call from Jimmy their GM, and from that point on everything was smooth and professional. By the very next day our shade was repaired and working perfectly again. Even better, Jimmy let us know that the repair didn't require as much work as originally expected, which actually made the final cost lower than the quote. That kind of honesty and customer service is rare these days. Thank you Where Shade Is Made for the amazing service. I truly appreciate the professionalism and quick turnaround. In 2023, I purchased a large custom awning for my backyard, paying over $13,000. I was told it came with a warranty, which was one of the main reasons I chose this company. In April 2024, I noticed one of the corners had started tearing. I called the company immediately. The receptionist, Pam, mentioned she was retiring and gave me John's direct number. When I spoke with John, he said he needed to verify my warranty. A few days later, he confirmed it and told me that Brian would be contacting me to take care of the issue. I spoke with Brian on May 6 and even included a screenshot of our conversation. Since then, I've followed up multiple times via phone and text. He promised to schedule a tarp pickup--but never showed up. No updates, no calls back. Completely unreliable. As a repeat customer--having purchased not one but two awnings from this company--I expected better. The quality of their work is good, but that means nothing if they disappear the moment you need warranty support. If you're considering working with this company, be warned: they may deliver a great product, but if something goes wrong, you're on your own. The lack of communication and accountability is incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. I truly hope this review gets their attention, because I'd still like to see this handled the right way. If the company makes this right, I will gladly remove this review. But as of now, I cannot recommend them.

Very pleased with the installation of a 12' wide x 8' high motorized sun and wind blocking screen across the west end of our elevated patio with an aluma-wood covering. The installation team provided seperate structural supports, in matching colors, to place the motorized screen on the edge of our elevated deck, outside our current wrought iron railing to provide us maximum clear area and high wind resistance. This will greatly enhance the use of our large south facing deck that looks over the valley and is so easy to use to lower, raise, and stop at any position we want, like one that blocks the sun, but allows the breeze to pass underneath. read more

WE HAVE APOLLO RETRACTABLE SCREEN DOORS FOR THE FRONT AND BACK DOOR. Memo was very professional and helpful during the ordering process and patiently answer all of our questions. Daniel was also very professionally in answering all of our questions and his installation job was super. we have been using the doors daily and have notice an interior drop in temperature of 7 to 8 degree F. About three weeks later, I was given a date they would like to install the awnings and I agreed. Three weeks later, Mario said they were ready and asked if I was ready for install. All good.
