First time here!!! Walked in, super friendly and quick service!!! Sat down, cool buzzy ambiance, very nice service!!! The food menu is kinda small, but has good options!! The beverage menu is much nicer....ha ha!! Give this place a try, plenty of parking around the back. I would have liked to have seen a bit more of an expanded menu, as many of the food pictures that you see here on the Yelp review are not on the menu. Perhaps they are seasonal. Grade: A

This is not a fried egg, don't advertise it as that.

Gosh where do I start? Well my friends have been raving about this place for quite some time so we decided to visit on a Thursday at 5pm, we had reservations and sat at a booth. Our server Allyn was absolutely awesome and if this review was about just our server, it would be a full 5 stars. However, the manger Alisha was absolutely terrible. Alisha could learn a thing or two on great customer service from Allyn. We all ordered kimchi fried rice, if took a long time to get to our table which is fine cause that means it's really cooked fresh. The menu said that it came with a fried egg and my friend ordered an extra egg. When it came to the table, the egg was definitely sunny side up, not fried at all. When the manager walked by, we flagged to let her know so that we could scrape the runny egg off of the plate to get the fried one. The egg broke on the rice and it was gross and my friend does not eat running egg like that. The manager looked annoyed and said she would ask to get a new plate. We waited for 10 mins and the plate came back... and guess what, the manager only asked for the fried egg and put it back on the same plate on top of the runny egg yolk. And didn't even apologize. She dropped it at the table and left. Allyn came by and we let her know what happened and she was so kind to apologize and said that they will remake it entirely and it will be on the house. When the new dish came, it was perfect, thanks to Allyn. Then we ordered dessert.... The manager Alisha came by the table and just dropped it again. No customer service like "enjoy" or "is there anything else I can get you?" Honestly if she didn't want to work that day, she should have just stayed home. If it weren't for Allyn, this review would have been a 1 star cause Alisha was terrible. Thanks to Allyn for saving the meal and the experience! As for the ambiance, it was cold inside and dimly lit which was fantastic.

I mean what a truly special evening! I celebrated my birthday at Aftermath and everything was beyond wonderful. From the moment we arrived, the team made us feel incredibly welcomed and cared for. We were seated in a lovely, more private side room which gave our group the intimate, celebratory feel I was hoping for and it was just perfect. Our party was large, but the service was seamless, friendly, and attentive!! I could tell the staff were truly invested in making the night memorable. Every drink we ordered was delicious and every dish arrived beautifully plated and was enjoyed by everyone. It's so rare to have everything go so smoothly with a big group, and Aftermath totally delivered. Thank you to the entire Aftermath team for making my birthday dinner so very memorable. I've been countless times before and have always had a great time so regardless of celebratory occasions Aftermath is always lovely and highly recommended !

I just love Aftermath! I think it's one of the best date night spots in Phoenix. Allyn is the best server there! The burger is always a must and the ceasar salad with chicken is one of my favorites. The pretzel bread pudding is the best dessert in Phoenix I'm convinced. They also have a drink called the Chakra Spritz I love it I get it every time! Tonight we tried the kimchi fried rice which we hadn't gotten before but now it's one of our new favorites!

    $15? For these boney wings
    Ericka B.

Amanda was great. Thank you. I did complain about the wings and the bartender did give me a discount ($12 which is the happy hour price) on them. Originally, 6 for $15 on on super boney wings (see the photo), if I had known I would have just got pizza hut wings. I was happy enough with the outcome. Fine and I thought it was done, but the 2 behind the bar ignored me the rest of the night including when I went to pay my bill who passed it on to Amanda so I gave her the tip.

This was my 3rd time at Aftermath, and each time has been a very different experience. The first time was with the large birthday party. The service was good, and the food was great; we especially enjoyed the wings! The 2nd time, just my hubby and I came in and sat at the bar. The service was great! The food was great. The 3rd time, myself and two of my girlfriends came in, and it was a lot different. It took 20 minutes to just take our drink order, about another 30 minutes to get our food, and after about two hours, we had to ask for our checks. It then took the server like 15-20 minutes to come back with our checks. We all just paid, and after I got home, I looked at my receipt and noticed I was charged $19 for the salad and fries and $7 for the drink. Not sure why as we ordered the "Girl Dinner," which I thought was a salad, fries, and a drink for $18? Maybe it was an off night, but we definitely all noticed.

We were invited to the brunch by another couple. What a great find. Service was awesome. We tried the Newcomer cocktail -- wonderful coffee based drink with a firm cream froth. I had the breakfast bowl with an extra egg. Tots were crunchy, the small potatoes cooked perfectly with good flavor. Quinoa and avocado topped off the bowl. Also had plain pancakes with syrup.. met the test! The avocado toast was impressive -beautiful presentation .. the space has been redecorated and is very inviting.

Aftermath is one of our favorite happy hour spot in the valley. We never fail to order the smoked wings every single time, they are honestly the best I have ever had. The famous award-winning After Math burger is a must try of course, although I recommend to ordering it with a double patty (they are smash burger style) for the best bun to meat ratio. All the food is fresh and delicious. We LOVE their beef tallow fries and that the restaurant doesn't use seed oils. It's an overall good quality spot with an elevated feel that isn't flashy. The service can lack in some areas, but that has never stopped us from having an amazing experience.

I got a chance to stop in for dinner on a weekend. This place has a great ambiance with an open style restaurant that has two big rooms. A mix of tables, booths, and outside section with two big glass garage door style walls. During dinner times the lighting is dim and sets a good mood. During dinner I got a chance to eat chicken wings, charred Brussels sprouts, aftermac and cheese, chicken el pastor, and pretzel bread pudding desert. All the food came out with great representation (like food art) and it was all very good. Our weightless was friendly and knowledgeable but seemed rushed, the food also took a bit long from order to table. To be fair, I was in a party of 16 or so so I didn't hold that against anyone.

I had an amazing time. Celebrated my birthday with my friends and we all loved our food and drinks. Dessert was good too! Get the japapeno burger it was amazing. Will be back

We have been twice now and the verdict is the same. Great bartending! Beautiful dining room. Scrumptious food. The smoked old fashioned is excellent and is made with perfectly clear cubes. The shrimp cocktail has four big prawns with two sauces for dipping. The Aftermath burger is different than most but really works well. I like the multiple thin patties because they deliver more char flavor. My wife's salmon had a crispy outside sear with a hot moist interior. Superior bartending and well executed food. Easy 5 stars.

    Cesar Salad with Shrimp
    Sam H.

We came here to celebrate a friend's birthday. The location is in a strip mall with limited parking in front of the business; however, they do offer parking around the side & back. Upon entering, the interior as dimly lit in the main area and dining area with a decent size bar. It appears to have a small patio, but I cannot confirm that. They also have side dining area with several booths and tables, which they pulled together for us and was a little better for lighting. Our server, Sean D was friendly and professional and from what I could tell, quick to get drink orders filled. I opted for the Cesar salad and added on grilled shrimp. Our orders came fairly quickly and our server received assistance from other staff members helping out with the delivery of our food. My Cesar salad was good and I like the touch of fried capers. The shrimp were jumbo sized, seasoned and cooked properly. The food and generally the staff were great. While they appear to be set up to service a gathering well, they were not so willing to accommodate us with bringing in our own cake for the celebration. While I understand their hesitation and policy; they were only willing to allow us to serve the cake for a fee of $25.00, which was disappointing. But it what it is and we opted to go back to the house and have the cake. Still would recommend them for their food and meal service.

Sunny's Lounge was in the area, and I had passed by it before, so I decided to stop by on a Saturday night. They have a small parking lot and I was able to find a spot. If you can't find a spot, you can park for free on a side stret. Ambiance (4/5): Dive-ish is a nice way to put it. Small. But also homey and cool. There's a pool table in the corner with some seating that surrounds it. Plus some seating at the bar. Service (5/5): Friendly and attentive service. Which goes a long way. I was greeted promptly, the bartender answered my questions, and he was friendly. Everything I look for at a bar. Food (N/A): I had dinner earlier that night, so I was on a liquid diet, but Sunny's does have a limited menu mainly consisting of snacks and hot dogs. While I didn't try any of the food, there is some creativity with their food options, so I'd like to give them a try next time around. Drinks (4.5/5): While Sunny's is dive-ish, they are known for their cocktails. And they have an interesting list of creative craft cocktails to choose from. Including some tiki drinks that seem to be a collaboration with Undertow, a nearby tiki bar. Perhaps they're owned by the same people? Either way, I liked it. There's sophistication in their cocktails, which I'm always a fan of. Sunny's is a cool spot. My preference would be to go on a weekday, because if you're trying to play pool, one pool table is not enough when there's a crowd.

GOOD! inspired by taco bell's baja blast hahahah). they TREATED us to all three of their current desserts on the menu. it was the most pleasant surprise i could've imagined. my favorite was the flourless chocolate cake! it was like a thick, rich brownie, had passion fruit cream to "lighten it up" and a caramel-like taffy on the bottom my brother and sister-in-law both said their favorite was the gulab jamun (which is basically like little fried dough balls/donuts, influenced by indian flavors and spices). the mille-feuille was also fantastic - the pastry was light and airy, cream wasn't too sweet and also very light, shaved cheese on top made it have a savory bite, and the jam alongside it was strawberry rhubarb. service is always amazing, friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable; it seems like everybody working here truly enjoys it. quite literally already have a reservation booked at valentine and will be coming back here beforehand. update: came back for more drinks (fernet & coke, spaghett western, negroni) and their lamb flauta. all AMAZING! and amazing order to whet the appetite before dinner at valentine.

Excellent service, a Christmas tree upstairs, and no reservations required. Glad they were able to seat us considering we showed up without reservations. Service was prompt, and we got our drinks by the time we had our mains decided. I got a glass of red to pair with my steak. My partner had a refreshing cocktail, but it was decent. The highlights of the night were the food. SO MUCH FOOD! And it was TERRIFIC! For starters we got the artichoke hummus. It sounded a bit weird, but all it was was regular hummus with 4 artichoke hearts that were crispy. The artichoke hearts were crisp, but moist, and I could have kept eating those all day. It comes with 1 pita bread. The server told us to order another and we did, turns out we needed it as the pita breads were quite small ($3 +). Sure only 3 bucks, but nickel and dime if you are spending $14 on an app... For mains I got the filet medium rare with a side of regular potatoes. My partner got the salmon skewer with a side of asparagus. Both the dishes were cooked perfectly and they were familiar dishes with a slightly exotic touch to it. Must be the middle eastern part of the restaurant. The steak came with a ganache or accompaniments of middle eastern sides. Can't recall what they were but they were great when I dipped my potatoes in them. It was sour, tart, acidic, kind of like middle eastern soy sauce. The server recommended it to us and we got it. The salmon skewer came with 5 decent sized pieces on it. Great for a small eater or someone who doesn't want their own meal. It too was delicious and had light touches of sauce or smoke on it. The asparagus is a favorite. It was cooked as usual, typical steak side and both me and my partner enjoyed it! For dessert, as it was my partners birthday the server comped the pound cake. While it was delicious, it was definitely the letdown of the meal. It was way too sweet including the layer of cream that it was doused with. The sweat cream wasn't necessary as the pound cake was incredibly sweet itself. Also, the pound cake wasn't soft like normal cake. It was quite dry once you peeled away the creme layer up top. I definitely should have gone with the Chocolate Ganache Tart. But their mess up worked in their favor. I'm definitely coming back for another meal at Flint!
