Fair to middling conversion from previous space. Cold beer. Light snacks. Wine and spirits.

The seasonal drinks were decent, but their classics are the fan favorite for us. There is a pool table as well and some table seating and decent enough parking. I'd love to see other themed popups here (Christmas starts around mid November), but may swing by on a normal day too!

Sunny's Lounge was in the area, and I had passed by it before, so I decided to stop by on a Saturday night. They have a small parking lot and I was able to find a spot. If you can't find a spot, you can park for free on a side stret. Ambiance (4/5): Dive-ish is a nice way to put it. Small. But also homey and cool. There's a pool table in the corner with some seating that surrounds it. Plus some seating at the bar. Service (5/5): Friendly and attentive service. Which goes a long way. I was greeted promptly, the bartender answered my questions, and he was friendly. Everything I look for at a bar. Food (N/A): I had dinner earlier that night, so I was on a liquid diet, but Sunny's does have a limited menu mainly consisting of snacks and hot dogs. While I didn't try any of the food, there is some creativity with their food options, so I'd like to give them a try next time around. Drinks (4.5/5): While Sunny's is dive-ish, they are known for their cocktails. And they have an interesting list of creative craft cocktails to choose from. Including some tiki drinks that seem to be a collaboration with Undertow, a nearby tiki bar. Perhaps they're owned by the same people? Either way, I liked it. There's sophistication in their cocktails, which I'm always a fan of. Sunny's is a cool spot. My preference would be to go on a weekday, because if you're trying to play pool, one pool table is not enough when there's a crowd.

GOOD! inspired by taco bell's baja blast hahahah). they TREATED us to all three of their current desserts on the menu. it was the most pleasant surprise i could've imagined. my favorite was the flourless chocolate cake! it was like a thick, rich brownie, had passion fruit cream to "lighten it up" and a caramel-like taffy on the bottom my brother and sister-in-law both said their favorite was the gulab jamun (which is basically like little fried dough balls/donuts, influenced by indian flavors and spices). the mille-feuille was also fantastic - the pastry was light and airy, cream wasn't too sweet and also very light, shaved cheese on top made it have a savory bite, and the jam alongside it was strawberry rhubarb. service is always amazing, friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable; it seems like everybody working here truly enjoys it. quite literally already have a reservation booked at valentine and will be coming back here beforehand. update: came back for more drinks (fernet & coke, spaghett western, negroni) and their lamb flauta. all AMAZING! and amazing order to whet the appetite before dinner at valentine.

Regardless, we gave it another shot and we were much happier the next go around. Record players in the corner and a fireplace on the opposite side of this dimly lit bar created a cozy vibe on a chilly Saturday night. We arrived right at opening and the bar filled up quickly but the volume still made it easy to have a conversation and still have an intimate night out. The drinks, this time, well balanced and delicious. My wife had the the Pantera Rosa and I had the Last Word. Both were delicious and not overly sweet. I love a good "Last Word" but the tea added a welcome and subtle layer. A nicely created cocktail without shaming the original. Servers were attentive, constantly filling up water, and making sure we were well taken care of. We will be back!

The original chopped salad here is my favorite in the whole Phoenix area it's is the perfect pairing of flavors - I could eat this as a meal on its own. The salmon sweet corn and dressing together produce a combination that has you wanting more with each and every bite. The pan roasted halibut entree is also very well crafted with the toppings olive tapenade and brown butter polenta. The service here is impeccable - staff were very attentive and even helped us to validate our parking. Orders were taken promptly and the food came out quickly as well. I mean really, did the chef put any salt and pepper on the flesh side of the salmon or did he/she only season the skin side? For the love of God...put some salt on both sides and please only cook it to medium! Just my two cents! I hope management reads this because I'll be returning to The Gladly with a large group of friends in February and we've selected salmon as one of the choices for our group meal. I hope and pray the fish will be cooked properly with seasoning please! Okay, I'm done talking about the salmon! The Chopped Salad was good and the spinach dip was very good! My spicy margarita was also top notch! However, the salmon left a bad taste in my mouth!

Wow. All I can is what a restaurant! Came here on a Wednesday night 3 weeks before Christmas and…read moreit was a vibe. Secluded upstairs dining area with heaters available. Excellent service, a Christmas tree upstairs, and no reservations required. Glad they were able to seat us considering we showed up without reservations. Downstairs gets quickly reserved so seats upstairs are where they push overflow patrons. Right outside Flint's doors downstairs there is a staircase which opens up to the upstairs dining area. Service was prompt, and we got our drinks by the time we had our mains decided. I got a glass of red to pair with my steak. My partner had a refreshing cocktail, but it was decent. The highlights of the night were the food. SO MUCH FOOD! And it was TERRIFIC! For starters we got the artichoke hummus. It sounded a bit weird, but all it was was regular hummus with 4 artichoke hearts that were crispy. The artichoke hearts were crisp, but moist, and I could have kept eating those all day. It comes with 1 pita bread. The server told us to order another and we did, turns out we needed it as the pita breads were quite small ($3 +). Sure only 3 bucks, but nickel and dime if you are spending $14 on an app... For mains I got the filet medium rare with a side of regular potatoes. My partner got the salmon skewer with a side of asparagus. Both the dishes were cooked perfectly and they were familiar dishes with a slightly exotic touch to it. Must be the middle eastern part of the restaurant. The steak came with a ganache or accompaniments of middle eastern sides. Can't recall what they were but they were great when I dipped my potatoes in them. It was sour, tart, acidic, kind of like middle eastern soy sauce. The server recommended it to us and we got it. The salmon skewer came with 5 decent sized pieces on it. Great for a small eater or someone who doesn't want their own meal. It too was delicious and had light touches of sauce or smoke on it. The asparagus is a favorite. It was cooked as usual, typical steak side and both me and my partner enjoyed it! For dessert, as it was my partners birthday the server comped the pound cake. While it was delicious, it was definitely the letdown of the meal. It was way too sweet including the layer of cream that it was doused with. The sweat cream wasn't necessary as the pound cake was incredibly sweet itself. Also, the pound cake wasn't soft like normal cake. It was quite dry once you peeled away the creme layer up top. I definitely should have gone with the Chocolate Ganache Tart. But their mess up worked in their favor. I'm definitely coming back for another meal at Flint!

Customer service is terribly lacking, let's start with the reservation for our table for 2, we were 30 minutes early and we got told there are no other tables open or high tops or outside. Oddly their own online reservation showed high tops being available. I noticed the hostess didn't even check the system she was just dismissive so we end up at the bar. The bartender wanted to charge extra for changing the fries that come with the $24 burger to coleslaw. In my entire experience in the restaurant business I've never seen that. Fair enough, we order our food. They were busy that night and at showed ad we kept getting the wrong orders, then finally food started arriving. They were out of all hand rolls except the lobster ones which took 30 minutes to be exact to come out. And we had to remind the bartender and the server who brought the other food about the rolls. Finally the side of fries that they said they would bring never came. Place has potential but the service is an after thought. Being a regular at camelback east fine establishments , this place is a miss. If you are going to charge $24 burger which is nothing fancy about , you may want to justify it with the service.

Our waitress Summer came quickly and got our drink order. Very friendly and gave us information on drinks and sizes. We ordered appetizers-lobster mini sandwiches on a delicious brioche type bun. I had a greek salad. Pieces of tomato and cucumber were huge. Fresh and dressing was good. But did not enjoy having to slice everything up. Did love the nice size feta. Also had to slice up. For entrees I had the Grilled Branzino with a side of delicious mashed potatoes. The branzino was delicious, loved the herby salsa on top. Mashed potatoes were perfect and good sized. My friend had the House prime rib. He loved it and enjoyed every bite. Summer our waitress was great and made sure everything was perfect. Loved the atmosphere here. We'll be back very soon
