I stopped by Tombstone Brewing North for some food and drinks on a Sunday evening before the concert. Parking is a breeze in the large lot they share with several other businesses. Ambiance (3/5): TBN is a laid-back bar. And a pretty spacious one. We sat at the bar. There are some high tops and also a lower level with a stage. There was an open mic night happening while we were there so things got a little loud. I like casual though the ambiance here is a little unremarkable. Service (4.5/5): Service was great throughout. While they weren't super busy, there were two bartenders working and they took care of us. Ordering drinks multiple times was easy and they also allowed us to sample different beers. Food (4/5): I always love it when a bar/brewery cranks out good food. I ended up going with the chicken tenders appetizer which is essentially a full meal. You get three chicken tenders and fries. I went with BBQ sauce for my dipping sauce. The tenders were nicely breaded and juicy inside... solid tendies. The fries, while they were about average in my book, was quite a generous portion. I wanted a good amount of food since I was going to a concert after and this dish delivered. Drinks (4/5): This brewery, no surprise, started in Tombstone, Arizona. I have yet to go to Tombstone, the site of the popular Western movie by the same name, but I hope to sometime this year. Their Phoenix outpost houses their beers and other brews. I tried two and liked them both. I also took a six-pack to go. What's awesome about that is instead of doing six of the same beers, you have the option to mix and match. I love the variety! Pro tip: Stop by on Sunday or Monday. They have all day happy hour with specials on both food and drinks (discounts on pints and appetizers). read more

I came here for a US soccer watch party, so I'm not sure if it reflects a normal experience but I thought the food, drinks and service were all great. It was much bigger inside than I expected when I saw it was in kind of a strip mall, but it also made parking easy. My BLY sandwich was delicious and perfectly toasted. Bartender was super friendly helped us pick a few awesome beers. Didn't get annoyed that I can be high maintenance asking about the beers. We got carnitas nachos that were fantastic! Never in a million years did I think I'd be raving about a cubano from Tombstone Brewing, but here we are!! It was DELICIOUS!! If you've read any of my other reviews, you'll know I'm a bit cubano-obsessed and this one tops the charts. The serving size was huge so I was able to make two meals of it. Definitely splurge and get the fries, they are also amazing. I had a hazy IPA, can't remember what it was called, but that was also great. Service was outstanding. One heads up, if you're going for sports, they don't have a ton of TVs, so wouldn't be the best spot for Sunday football if you like watching multiple games. But otherwise it was a huge space and the vibe was super casual and laid back. read more

A little difficult to find via GPS, this brewery is in the back of a strip mall. Glad we drove for a few minutes to locate the correct spot, the beer and food were stellar. We sampled a couple of the IPAs on draft and settled on "Are You Employed, Sir." This was a tasty, hoppy, slightly hazy IPA. We liked it so much, we bought a 4 pack to take with us. We shared an order of nachos with carnitas pork shedded on top. It was a huge mountain of nachos, crispy chips, beer cheese, pork, guacamole and pico. We weren't able to finish the entire plate full. For grub I chose the Arcadia salad... mixed greens, sweet potato, pecans, apples...what more do you need? I'd like a fruity vinaigrette! Ambiance is strip mall pub, service was friendly, and prices are a bit high for PHX, but food was good. We have come here a couple of times, and the beer and the food is really good. I had the Helles Lagar and my husband had the Rye IPA. We also had the mussel appetizer with Noble bread. I was here for an event that Tombstone so generously hosted. I arrived early and got into the menu before the vent actually started. Previously operated by Heliobasin in this space, Tombstone has brought their own great beer and their own delicious menu. Super chill vibe, sports are in and tons of seating without feeling like too much. I def recommend the braised short rib sandwich (pickled onions make it) and the pretzel bites if you're looking for food. The beer is the highlight, I had the Belgian Tripel and Irish stout. The standout was the Jalapeno Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato. and Avocado. The garlic aioli completed the sandwich! The Raspberry Sour complemented the heat of the jalapeno bacon. I'm a big fan of Tombstone Brewing's line up and have enjoyed their beers many times back home in Tucson. I was happy to see this location. At first we weren't sure if it was open or not because the tint on the windows made it look closed, but the bright "open" sign was correct and we went in to be warmly welcomed by the bartender. A good sized crowd situated at the bar and tables; we bellied up to the bar and were given a food and drink menu. I, of course, went with one of their beers (always great) and was pleased with the selection on the menu. The food was served quickly and was excellent. I look forward to going back here again when we're in Phoenix. It's worth the drive. read more

Chill place. We didn't get to eat because one person in our party didn't see anything on the menu he wanted. But I thought the sandwiches sounded great! I only tried a light lager-style beer which I think they called a "Tombstone Tecate." It was light, refreshing, with just a touch of sweetness. If you're in Phoenix, Arizona you have to check this brewery out. My boyfriend and I are from California but he suggested coming here during our vacation and I'm so glad we did. Everyone that works there is so nice and friendly, the food is delicious, and they have board games which are fun to play while you're drinking. They close somewhat early, 10:00 P.M. on a Saturday, which is a bummer because we were having so much fun. But we understand that the employees want to go home too. We were having so much fun we didn't take any photos. I really enjoyed this place and when we go back to Phoenix this will definitely be a place we go back to. read more
