We always need to stop by when we visit Phoenix! There is bar seating, tables, and a small back patio. We arrived in the afternoon on a Sunday and there were a few people at the bar, we grabbed a table and ordered up some of the Anniversary and special beers that were on tap. The beers were phenomenal as usual and the service was stellar.

(Drank 05/23/25 FR @ 3:00pm): Not a wren in sight in this house, but there were other things brewing about! Before I dropped off my rental car prior to my evening flight back to Los Angeles, I made a concerted effort to visit a brewery near the airport and selected Wren House Brewing Co. by default. I always looked for local breweries to try wherever I traveled, and this was one I've never heard of or seen their beer before which was perfect. Apparently, they had three other locations (the others in Ahwatukee, Prescott, and their newest in Paradise Valley as of this review). Previously an unoccupied and disused house for decades, they finally opened in 2015. "Wren" would I visit this brewing house again if I was back in the area!? PURCHASE Office Slippers IPA Beer 16floz Draft ($7.50): Slight hazy amber color, floral hoppy pineapple aroma, light body, hoppy malty piney flavors, drying finish, and bitter hoppy malty piney aftertaste. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&select=mVrbfyNYXgqtgfGZ7zLRzQ Lady Bank Sour Gose Beer 16floz Draft ($6.50): Passionfruit color, floral hibiscus tea aroma, light body, floral jammy sour tea flavors, floral sour tart finish, and sour tart aftertaste. My favorite of the two. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&select=JT72W8ifxHZuuu22xEVuYw Südhalle Mixed Nuts 5oz Container ($5.00): This was somewhat an impulse buy because I started to get hungry, but really it was something to absorb the alcohol. This seemingly was the kitchen sink of mixed nuts as it appeared to have all of the standard nuts imaginable, and I actually enjoyed the variety. The only thing that was missing were "deez nuts" - LOL! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&select=knEO6pc40sV4bzgZ9ILogg Stickers ($1.00 x4): I loved stickers, especially brewery ones, to either stick on my water container or on the walls of other breweries. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&select=2MGb_WpgJk8XMpSKDWyNLQ SERVICE Once I entered, I casually made my way to the bar, surveyed the menu, placed my first order with a friendly gentleman, and moments later my beer was ready, and I found a corner high table to enjoy my brew. I brought my empty glass to the bar and ordered another, and asked if they had any snacks to which I was offered some nuts. Everything was straightforward - no worries! PARKING (FREE) They had their own small-sized private lot, which was where I found a spot. Otherwise, it appeared you may be able to park along the main drag of 24th St. - 'nuff said! ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE A relatively confined floorplan with a small entryway https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&select=BdppQ2kqI8bb6jRVorlE6g that branched off to a small side room and the oddly-shaped bar area https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&select=fZBKSVeuyZBukzuYLSvnxA lined with stools and an assortment of communal tables and high tables. There was an interesting Virgin Mary statue https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&select=Qo_bR-FmIt25u9Tt2ueuYQ where I sat. Plenty of natural lighting entered through the large tinted windows that led to the outdoor patio while random electric ceiling lights filled in the rest. There were no TVs while indie rock music played in the background. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&select=gJIuAjzRt_ExJ6COLjg2hg ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL Wren House Brewing Co. was fine and felt I didn't have a chance to really get a sense of their beers. The tap list didn't seem as varied, I wished they had more snacks (they allowed outside food), the prices were more than comparable, and the service was straightforward. I wasn't aware of any Happy Hour or if they allowed dogs. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $25.00 BEFORE any discounts/tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... When researching what's a great brewery near the Phoenix area, I kept seeing this place come up. So, when my girlfriend and I were visiting in Phoenix, we stopped by here to try some beers out. I love a good craft brewery. This place definitely lived up to all the positive reviews. I tried a few different IPAs they had on draft, and they were all excellent. I also tried a sour and it was great to. IPAs are one of my favorite beer styles and this place makes great ones for sure. I loved the New England ones, Doubles, and American. Every beer was amazing here that I tried. Highly recommended everyone come here for delicious beers!

Always good to be back. The area still looks a little suspect, but whew, the beers are super solid. Great service, and a great cellar selection here to enjoy on site or to go. Fun to see those older bottles available. Absolute must if you're in the area and looking for a good pour.

Best. Beer. Ever. No other brand hits the mark time after time again. This has been my family's favorite beer for about 7 years now. The quality is unmatched. Could not recommend this brand more if you are a beer enjoyer. Follow up praise for the designer. The cans are absolutely beautiful. Always fun, incredible designs. They never miss. If you're looking for a great glass of beer in the Phoenix metropolitan area, be sure to stop in a Wren House location. You will not be disappointed.

Stopped by for a quick beer and really enjoyed this spot. I love restaurants in old houses and this one did not disappoint. It was very cute inside with the old fireplace still there and all their awards hanging on the walls. There was a surprising amount of seating for how small it looks from the outside. The music was a good volume and the playlist was a good variety of songs. The staff was friendly and while I'm not into beer, my husband got a couple to try and enjoyed them all. They have a nice variety. I also like their initiative to encourage people to reach out to their representatives about the possible public land sale. It's nice to know you're spending money at a local place with good values.

This place is great. The staff is very nice and informative of the beers available and where it comes from. Their spellbinder is their staple but their sours and barrel Aged stuff is nothing to snuff at nor avoid. Their son of frakenwally and pecan thief is very delicious and heavy. Their sours are also very good along with Uranus. They have a good breadth of variety of beers you can try and like. Their outdoor patio is a nice touch along with the indoor decor being a very casual hangout brewery kind of place. It's a very unassuming place but you'll be very surprised at how good the beer is.

    Ben H.

Really cool Brewery. Sampled a couple of beers, to be honest none struck a cord. The stouts were too heavy for my liking and the sours were too sweet for my preference. Unfortunately no wheat beers (my favorite) were available . I ordered the graham cracker pecan thief. Super strong. 11.6%. Close to $10 for 9oz was a little surprising.

    Jessica B.

Some amazing brews coming out of this little spot. I really enjoy their IPAs but they also bring out some great seasonal beers like Pie Thief and their Wally series. I just had their fruited mango IPA, so juicy and refreshing. They even have a house cat named Gravy who has a celebration in February all about him!!

    John R.

For the beer I believe you can say, especially based on the Untappd reviews, this is the best beer in the entire Phoenix area. The place itself is small and cozy. Indoor and outdoor areas and parking is easy in the private lot. No flights here but the 5oz pours work fine. Only two at a time maximum which is no big deal either since the place is small. No food but given the quality of the beer, plan your day to make a visit here happen. Service was great. A little slow at times with people coming and going to either stay for a drink here or just to pick up cans. Depending on the moment, a one-man show can get overwhelmed.

One of the crispiest hazys I've ever had. It's too bad I only found out about their secret stout menu as I was walking out. Unfortunately I couldn't stay longer but I see myself spending a few hours here trying all of their crazy stuff. Only downside is the place has this funky smell, it's small and crammed and ordering isn't the easiest as you gotta elbow through people sitting at the bar. Staff was ok.

    Jordan B.

This was a neat brewery to have tried out! They had a good selection of beer options to choose from - IPAs, ales, sours, etc. The staff is great and super friendly. It's in a smaller, quaint home-style building. There's an outside patio area and multiple inside areas to sit. Definitely give them a try!

The only reason I didn't give this updated review a 5-I ordered the banh mi sando and the sandwich was so dry. Chicken was dry. The cilantro wasn't chopped I had to pick out long stems. Also I got the AZ frosè and the rosemary syrup was just way too pungent to enjoy the whole beverage. I wished it had been more balanced. Especially when the French fries are heavily seasoned with rosemary--a bit too much.

One of the highlights was chatting with Dan, who has been bartending for eight years. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to answer questions about the brewing process and the brewery itself. It's clear he enjoys what he does and takes pride in sharing information with customers. I also learned that the brewery was founded by Megan Greenwood, and it's impressive to see how her vision has grown into a well-known local brewery. The brewing operation includes seven tanks, giving visitors a glimpse into the production side of the business. For anyone interested in seeing more behind the scenes, Greenwood Brewing does offer brewery tours. There isn't a set tour schedule, so it's best to ask staff about availability when you visit. One feature I thought was especially cool was the live Instagram follower counter displayed behind the bar. Watching the number update in real time was a fun and unique touch that added to the brewery's modern, community-focused atmosphere. The atmosphere was welcoming, the staff was engaging, and it was fun getting a closer look at the brewing process while enjoying quality craft beer.
