-- "Five Stars for the Beer, Six Stars for the Defensive Perimeter" I originally came to Kitsune Brewing for the Forager, their hazy IPA, and the music bingo Thursday nights. I stayed because it turns out they are the last line of defense against the car-obsessed hoodlums who periodically descend upon our peaceful neighborhood like a swarm of under-muffled locusts. First, the beer: exceptional. The Forager tastes like citrus had a well-adjusted childhood. The Baba Yaga stout is darker than my browser history and twice as complex. The Belgian Blonde lives up to its name by being approachable, pale-colored and complex, while providing a great head. But truthfully, you can't go wrong with any selection from their rotating taps; they even have wine and cocktails! Now let's address the elephant doing donuts in the parking lot.... Around 8:30pm, just as I was settling into my second Cider and Sly, the distant rumble began. Engines revving. Tires squealing. The mating call of the Chrome-Bumpered Youth Brigade. Before I could even process what was happening, the staff sprang into action with the calm efficiency of people who have absolutely done this before. Garage-style security doors? Well no, but the doors were locked to keep the riff raff out. While the patrons were secure inside with a view thru the windows of police cars, helicopters, and pimple faced miscreants in search of a Hurst shifter to mount. Even the bartender gently reassured us: "No worries, folks. They'll get bored once they realize we don't validate parking". Meanwhile, inside: cozy vibes. Gentle laughter at people mistaking car backfires for gunfire. Music turned up just enough to drown out the external symphony of questionable life choices. A new friend I had made at the bar offered to by another round so we could wait out the mass exodus of souped-up vehicles from the parking lot. I have never felt safer. It was as if I had returned to my mother's bosom. At one point a particularly enthusiastic engine rev rattled the windows, and without missing a beat the guy next to me just raised his glass and said, "To fortified fermentation." We all toasted. Community is beautiful. So yes -- come for the craft beer. But stay because this microbrewery has the tactical readiness of a medieval castle, but with cleaner bathrooms. I would absolutely shelter in place here again. read more

Been here plenty of times, but my review is gone. No food truck on a Saturday night and a bunch of annoying people painting in the back of the bar. Beer was good, but too many kids in a bar. read more

While visiting from out of town we had a couple hours to kill on a Saturday afternoon and found Kitsune. What a find. Not only are the beers delicious but owner Tyler could not have been friendlier and cooler. We tried Fox Diver, Forager and guest tap Birthday Suit. All were super good. We missed the food truck coming later, but we'll definitely be back next time we're in town. read more

I am not a beer fan and the one I got was really good. I loved that the place was Pokémon -themed. They also had karaoke and it was very entertaining. They do not sell food but there was a Mexican food truck that we didn't try. Will def go back to try other drinks in the menu read more

We were so impressed by the beer at this little hole in the wall brewery. If you're a gamer, this place would be great to hang out with friends because a few of the tables have gaming systems on them. The Belgian blonde was delightful and hubby loved his DDH hazy. The bartender was super welcoming and friendly. You can order food and have it delivered there if you'd like a meal with your beer. read more

Update: we came back for disney trivia night and had a blast. Tried more sours and ate munchiemouth food truck again. Again, Tyler made it a fun night and was excited to tell this Disney lover about his upcoming dolewhip flavor. New cool hangout spot! I'm not a beer drinker (but trying to build that palette because I really want to be a beer snob!). I enjoyed a flight of the 4 sours...my favorite is the Sumuji Pineapple. First time at the brewery and what a great experience. Jeremiah was very knowledgeable about the beers on tap and he was such a nice guy. We were able to sample a couple of the beers before making our decision. The brewery had a feel that there were alot of regulars but we felt welcomed right away. Delicious Forager New England IPA! We will be back to try the other three available IPA's. Service was good and the ambiance comfortable.

Had been wanting to try this place for sometime. On Sunday got the chance. Brown Ale was very good. Hoppy Valentine was okay ( strawberry IPA) Amber IPA was good and Japanese Lager was excellent. This is a neighborhood fav! It's a really cool space with a chill vibe. The owner and staff are super friendly and outgoing. The beer is perfectly made with their own twist in some classics. They do not have a kitchen but usually have a food vendor that sets up in the parking lot. My favorite brew is the Red Ronin however I do need to try some more of the menu. read more

Flew in yesterday morning and anxiously awaited 3:00 so I could finally check out Kitsune!! In a strip mall w a noticeable address marquee on the south side of Bell Rd it's easy to find! Great signage for the location and a favorite, a wall of floor to ceiling windows for natural light! When I arrived 10 minutes after open it was already quite busy, short lived as it was a large group on a party bus, good for me, so I could take in more of the digs now. I was able to meet delightful owner Tyler, such a kind and lovely fellow. Beertender Maddie/y was super friendly and helpful too as I built one flight then once I took a closer look at the tap list: oh I forgot about that beer I'd seen on social media and for the name alone I wanted to try... You're Killing Me Smores! Everything about my visit was....just... perfect!! Friendly owner and beertender, delicious beer, easy parking and comfortable, spacious digs! The tables are pretty even... half and half high and standard seating. I appreciate that the Kitsune merch is easily viewable from across the tap room; and it's quite colorful! Next to the merch is the off-sale cooler. As we sat at the edge of the bar we had a perfect view of the bew house and could see that there's an open garage door in the back, for what we imagine on an ideal can create the perfect crosswind! We even briefly chatted w some other customers who were friendly and kind...always a good sign you're in the Right Place. Thanks Kitsune for being everything I had hoped for! I volunteer in the same plaza as Kitsune so I've been keeping an eye on them to open and we made it there a week after they did open. They've got an excellent start to a great place to sit with friends and do some beer tasting. We chatted with Chelsea a bit and she was lovely. The menu is IPA-heavy so I asked her to help me choose beers because I don't generally like IPAs. She pointed me towards the red velvet that was canned (but they will have it on tap soon) and wow. So complex and delicious. I tried the rice lager which was crisp, refreshing and reminded me of shochu. Chelsea brought me a sample of The Forager which is a hazy IPA AND I LIKED IT. Will wonders never cease? I even had a whole glass of it. This place was hopping on a Friday afternoon well before quitting time which seems to bode well for success. I will say the bar chairs are not terribly comfortable for a several hour session but we hung in there. I think these folks are going to do cool things and I look forward to coming back. read more

Fine sours and some good beers. Just don't expect good times. After blankly referring us to the menu as the greeting when we say it's our first time and then staring at his phone....and then, completely unprovoked, having his friends mock us, I'm not sure what else you could ask for!?. Seriously gross. So yeah...will never be back. We spend about $2k a month in restaurants due to income from businesses that treat customers with basic decency. Here's a great pic though of the delicious seltzer I had fun making before they insulted me while I was in the bathroom in front of my spouse and then mocked him for his shirt. Not gonna be recommending this place. Explains why there were only 2 people there other than his friends. I feel bad for the owner's revenue losses. We will be running back to Lake Pleasant Brewery. We stopped in Saturday afternoon, the place was actually quite hopping. A wide ranging crowd including a few families. We had a sampler, while they seem to specialize in New England IPAs, they had a well rounded selection brewed in house which included a Japanese-style Rice Lager, a Dry Irish Stout and an Amber. Having been to Japan a few times and tasted craft beers there, this was quite credible, nice clean taste, definitely a step well above a Sapporo. The Dry Irish Stout was very pleasing although it was not on Nitro. There is no food served but they did have a Chicago Vienna cart outside, the Italian Beef was excellent. There is also a cooler at the front with a variety of their canned beers so that was a nice touch. read more

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Kitsune. Each time my husband and I walk in, we are greeted with a smile and a friendly hello. Tyler, the owner, goes above and beyond to get to know everyone who walks through the door. I'm a sour fan, and Tyler and his crew make the best sours around. Really enjoyed this place! Was bummed they were out of the Creamsicle and Bantha Milk sour but the rest of their brews on tap were solid. I got the Sax-A-Boom Sunrise American IPA, Fox Diver Brown, and Forager NE IPA, all were solid brews with good flavor profiles. Kitsune owner Tyler was very welcoming to our group of about 12 people and made sure we were well taken care of for a Wednesday evening meetup and came by our table to introduce himself which we definitely appreciated! I had also forgotten to ask for a fork at the Thai place I'd picked up food at before coming here and Tyler was kind enough to get me one! Talk about solid customer service! They didn't have a food truck the day we were here but there's a litany of restaurants you can pick up food and bring to the brewery or have food delivered. The spot isn't particularly big but there was maybe a total of 20-25 people in the brewery at the busiest point I saw it at? Plenty of space though! I'll definitely be back and will bring my group back here too, thanks for having us Tyler, keep up the good work! read more
