WHAT I JUST SENT TO A & M CUSTOMER SERVICE: Hello Paul, I am writing to inform you that I am extremely displeased with the experience I had with your shop after leaving the Saturday after I picked up my car. Initially I thought it was strange that you would record my mileage incorrectly @ 41K instead of the 89K that it actually has, if I had come back into the shop weeks later with an issue you could have easily turned me away and that makes me nervous. But you took down my correct mileage that Saturday and I took my car to a local shop near my house right after I left to see if I couldn't get it repaired that same day. If you recall you told me I would have to bring it back on Monday to have an electrician look at it and let me know that everything was connected and looked fine to the mechanics, however you did tell me that the power to the electric steering went out during testing and that is what caused you concern. You also let me know I might have to replace the housing and everything (pump and fan) for the power steering and that it was a common problem in every mini cooper. Not only was it fishy to me that immediately after leaving your lot a new issue had arisen with my car on top of the improper recording of my mileage I felt pretty disgusted with your service after you let me drive off with a problem your shop caused. I had NO issues with my steering or any other mechanical problem with my car other than the clutch when it arrived on your lot. THAT SATURDAY: I went to a local shop down the street from my residence and told them what I just outlined above. They recorded my mileage and brought my car into their shop to take a look. They found that something was actually unplugged on my steering column and the actual connection piece was broken and wouldn't stay plugged in. KIND OF STRANGE HUH? Especially after you specifically told me everything was connected and it was working fine before I took it into your shop. The mechanic at the shop I went to said anyone could have easily seen that and fixed it for me, took pictures of the wire and condition upon arriving at the shop and gave me a full invoice of what they did/found. SO I hope you can under stand my feelings toward your services. I am actually appalled at his interaction with your shop and will not be recommending you to anyone. I feel ripped off and taken advantage of; after I dropped 3,400.00 with you guys you probably figured I'd be good for a new steering install which you so expertly prepared me for hearing on that Monday I am sure after your spiel about replacing the housing. I seriously doubt the need for all of the repair you initially charged me for now and feel other people should be aware of the misgiving and misleading service you provide. I also will be documenting this incident with the BBB incase something goes wrong with the clutch, fly wheel, etc that you installed. Desiree read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP! I was quoted a price, I'm a mechanic, and felt like letting someone else do the job for a change... however, as soon as I got in and signed off on the first quote, they RAISED the cost on me to nearly triple the original quote. And get this, nothing changed in their assessment. Yep, that's right, I knew exactly what my car needed (because I'm a self-taught mechanic, I just got lazy, and thought it'd be nice to let an honest mechanic do the work) and lo, they affirmed that I was correct. Only discernment for you listening audience is that I didn't ask them to do a diagnosis, I told them what specifically I needed over the phone, and asked for a specific price. The scam artist receptionist (who I both dealt with on the phone and in person) told me a straight price. After the price went from $90 to $288 for a simple flasher-relay (A FUSE!) I was furious. Who do they think they are. Jason whined about how since I had an alarm, and there was extra wiring to navigate around, the price would go up significantly. I baulked! Because I'm not the average clueless client! I looked into my car window and saw what they did. They did exactly what I did last week; remove the plastic cover under the steering column. Big whoop! You can see the relay fuse! There is no extra work getting around teh wiring! Wow... I was straight lied to, then denied communication, and basically I had no choice but to either pay for a basic inspection fee (that I didn't ask for, nor want) or the whole $288 plus tax which is CORRUPT to ask a client to pay for a fuse! Take my advice, don't go to these people, they are crooked! How can they run a business like this? And I saw elderly people in there! OMG... spread word about this! This is the absolute worse customer service I've ever had! All this over a part that can be bought online for only $27... and something that takes literally 15 minutes to fix! I was happy to pay the $90 originally, because I just wanted to spread the business around and save myself the screwdriver work. Big mistake! I hope this review doesn't get censored. I see other reviewers on here claiming horrible scam service on here too. I'm going to make sure to tell everyone I know to never go to this place! new ownership? Give me a freaking break! I would leave ZERO STARS if I had a choice. I can't friggin' believe the nerve this place had! And for all you people out there who chance upon this review: YOU'RE WELCOME! You can rest assured that someone with actual mechanical experience can speak out against how corrupt this business really is! STAY AWAY! read more

My real bad - I usually check the ratings before I go to a car repair shop, and this one I skipped as I am in a quick need, and that really screwed me this time My car failed the emissions test and I went in to get the necessary emission repairs with these guys, they were courteous when you drop in and it all looked good. They have asked me to come back next day and they mentioned that initial diagnosis should be out today itself. They didn't bother calling and I followed up next day noon, and then they mentioned that they did the diagnosis and that my intake manifold gaskets are leaking and they will replace them for 700$+ (I checked with dealership after that and they were cheaper). I didn't have money, so I skipped the repair and went back to them to do the mandatory 150$ repairs for emission test, and the guy mentions that - that's it 150$ (dealership charges 125$ for the same) is for diagnosis and I can go. My lug nights are tight for me to work on them, so I have asked if they can at least do a tire rotation for the 150$ they charged. Since the lug nuts are tight, they have asked for minimum 59$ and could be 100$. I had to walk out after that, and never going back again I get home and check the tubes/hoses and it was a simple case of PCV valve not sitting in place and the leak is because of it, push it in and it is all fine. Check engine light gone, emission test fine. I have had work done at many auto places, but by far these are the worst shop and outright cheaters and dishonest. DON"T GO TO THEM read more

This place is not honest, while it may have a lower cost than dealers they are NOT a safe alternative. I am SURPRISED at the positive feedback. I took my Audi A6 in for an oil change and servicing, I have never had a problem beyond basic maintenance with my car and only have 45k miles on it. The day I drove it home, not even an hour after leaving the shop my ABS/VSA lights came on, so I called the shop and took it back that day, they gave me a quote for almost $2k to replace my module. I was floored at the needed repair and decided to get a second opinion, I took it to this shop down the street from my girlfriends house Bellevue Auto Service or something, and explained my issue and what A&M had said. They took my car in the back and had it back to me in 20 minutes compeltely fixed, apparently something had just been unplugged.....kind of sketchy huh? I will let everyone come to their own conclusions but my recommendation is GET A SECOND OPINION. I have found lately this is the best policy for anything. read more

After receiving poor service and horrible customer service at the Bellevue Honda dealer, I was referred to Isshi by a friend. So happy! They were very nice about listened and HEARING the symptoms/issues I had with my Pilot and diagnosed the real problem without belittling me. The dealership treated me like I was stupid for suggesting the them that the problem was not the battery---who's stupid now--it was a fuel pump issue which totally makes sense given that the car originally started and then died when not getting fuel, which I told them made no sense it was a battery. Honda's ineptitude caused me a second tow (thank god I wasn't on the freeway when this happened again), several days without a car, and money (they replacing things that didn't need replacing). Isshi has gained a customer plus friends I am sending their way. read more

I had my vehicle towed for repair. They sold me a new transmission. 14 months later the same problem occurred and had it towed to a different repair shop. It ended up being a used transmission they installed and charged me $4000 for a new one. They tried to sell other things as well when my vehicle was there, but I refused. I felt midway through the transaction that they were just trying to upsell me on things that my car probably didn't need. I felt like I needed a second opinion at another shop after I picked it up and sure enough none of the items A&M tried to sell me were needed for repair. Staff was friendly & courtious, but expensive and apparently dishonest. BEWARE....DISHONEST REPAIR SHOP read more

Took my Chey Venture in for oil change and to replace burnout headlight. Was asked if I wanted to change both headlight bulbs? Yes I wanted both changed out. That I also wanted headlights to be adjusted. To shine where they needed to be. The last time I had them replaced. By a different auto shop. The light didn't shine correctly on the road. So when I got my car back. Then that night went to work graveyard shift. I was amazed. I can see the road and the side of the road. Its nice to see where you'r going. I told them what I wanted. They delivered. I will be going back. For all my auto needs. Thanks for getting it done the right way. Pam read more

My friend and I were traveling from Montana to Seattle on 3/9/18 when we noticed the front splash guard under her Subaru was hanging down from her car and would scrape against the ground when we hit dips in the road. It looked like it was starting to pull her front bumper down, too. We searched for nearby auto shops and found A&M. Paul was super helpful and after a 30ish minute wait, they had used zip ties to securely fasten the plastic back up under the car. Best of all, there was no charge. We made it to Seattle and back without a problem. We were very impressed with Paul and A&M! read more

I would recommend this shop. When I dropped my car, they automatically offered to drive me home. There were no surprises - Paul was very straightforward in the pricing, which was very much appreciated. He even replaced a idler pulley for free and took extra time to test drive my car to ensure that everything was running smoothly. I was able to pick up my car with confidence, and will definitely consider returning here for future car repairs. read more

I was stuck in rush hour traffic trying to get to a concert and my car began to overheat. I managed to get off the freeway and coast into A&M. These guys were great. They hooked me up with a rental car, and I was back on the freeway within less than 15 minutes. Excellent follow-up, and after several things were discovered to have gone wrong, they completed the repairs. My Jaguar XF runs like a dream again!! Highly recommend!!! read more

Very friendly customer service. Went there because my phone was stuck underneath the rear seat of my Rav4 (I couldn't take it out using any of my home tools). They managed to take some time out of their busy schedule and finished it really quick. On top of that, they didn't even charge me anything. I would recommend that place to anyone; sometimes one friendly interaction elevates your entire day. read more

My husband and I have been taking our cars to a&m for over 10 years and have gotten to know the staff quite well. I recommend these guys to all of my family and colleagues at microsoft. I have found them to be very professional, very honest and my husband likes them because he has someone who knows BMW's other than the dealer and will also save us quite a bit of money as well. Highly recommended. read more

Very happy with A&M Auto Repair. Brought my 2012 Toyota Highlander in to have the wiring harness that connects to our boat trailer rewired for a 5 pin flat connector. They did great work and all lights and reverse functionality worked flawlessly. Their attention to detail is excellent and I sincerely appreciate their professionalism. I highly recommend A&M Auto Repair. read more

I got my Audi A6 for a belly pan replacement and oil change at A&M . Jason was courteous and helpful. He quoted a really reasonable rate for the work as compared to others . They even gave me a free shuttle ride to downtown Seattle while the work was being done . The work was done great as well , so would definitely go to them for any issues with my car.. read more

A&M Automotive is fantastic! The professionalism is remarkable along with them being polite. I am in no way "car savvy" but they were able to help me understand what exactly the issues were going on with my vehicle. The price was right and they got me and my vehicle in and out no problem. Will always be using them as my primary auto shop. Thank you A&M! read more

Came into this shop this week to get a repair made to my 92' Camry. Was blown away by their suggestions...I got the feeling I could find better services elsewhere. We'll have to see, plan on doing that this weekend. Wasn't impressed with A&Ms suggestions though and after reading the reviews here I think my gut instict was right. read more
