Short version: - Charged $600 for a trunk water leak fix they couldn't end up fixing after bringing it in THREE times. I had to argue for an HOUR to get half that money back. - They recommended an oil change service I didn't need (I had just changed it myself the previous week). - Worst of all, a very rude snarky condescending front desk guy. Long version: Took it in for a trunk water leak. We showed them where the water trail was as far as we could see. Apparently, they don't listen cause when I got it back and tested it, leak was still there. All they did was clean out the most common cause of leaks (clogged sunroof drain valve) and called it good. I doubt they tried to diagnose before and test afterwards to minimize how much time they spend on it. They didn't even bother spending the time to vacuum all the sunroof debris that dropped onto the car seats. We had to brush that off ourselves before sitting down. Took it back to them and we did this 2 more times but they still weren't able to fix the requested leak. I asked for a refund and spent an HOUR arguing with the front desk guy that it's unfair I pay $600 and the original leak I showed them still occurs. Not to mention the collosal waste of time for 2 people to make 6 trips to drop off and pick the car up. The rude guy working the front desk finally agreed to give half the money back. The worst part about the whole experience was the snarky condescening guy who works the front desk. My first interaction with him was when I picked up the car the first time: "I'm here to pick up the civic with the leak". His response was a snarky "Well we have lots of civics..." He could've been professional and just asked "What's the name under?" His attitude worsened when I asked too many questions about why he had recommended an oil change I didn't need (I had just changed it myself and it was the first time driving it afterwards). That happened the first time we picked up the card. And during the 1 hour argument that happened on the 3rd time picking up the car, he's yelling and interrupting me and halfway through the hour puts on a calm professional voice once another customer walks in the room. DO NOT USE THIS SHOP! Talked to Jason 12/18/25 and explained to him that I recently purchased a VW Tiguan that they had replaced the clock spring in 300 miles prior. EPC, Steering and Check Eng light on. I told him that I understand that mistakes happen and that initial programming (road side or coding) had not been done. He said to bring car in anytime and they would correct it. Spoke with him again mid January and he recalled conversation but warranty is not extended to me. Short end is I purchased programming software and had all 14 codes cleared in under 5 min. the clock spring wasn't even initialized! A and M did not complete the job! read more

Don't go here! I went in and asked for them to do an inspection and address a few concerns I wanted addressed. My power steering fluid and gas cap. I had a check engine light but I had coded it myself and told them what it was. They still wanted $200 to run the code... If you go here there'll be something new everyday they need to repair or replace. They charge a fortune in labor. When I got my car back they didn't fully put my front bumper back on. They damaged my passenger wheel well trim. I'll have to get that replaced now. They had replaced my axle, and now when I'm driving there is this high pitched noise. I am certain it was not doing that before. I am leaving on a trip in a week and now I need to take my car somewhere else. Update: I took my car to a local guy, he immediately had an idea of what the noise was right after hearing it. Behind my brake disc was a piece of metal pushing up against it. There can't be anyway that the guys at A&M didn't know about this. They told me that the noise was my lower control arm and outer tie rod and wanted to charge me $800 to replace them. This guy took I took it to fixed the problem for $75. He also told me that my trim is just some screws that weren't put back on. Seriously, the guys at A&M are crooks and negligent. Find yourself a personal mechanic and you will save THOUSANDS of dollars and tons of stress. I will say that the guy I dealt with up front and over the phone, Elliot was nice. Just awful. Was told 99 dollars for diagnostic, then I get to the shop 199. Said that it was always 199 even though I was told 99 otp + sent they a payment overview beforehand and they performed a trans flush and tried to charge it as the diagnostic. That's why when I looked at the overview on paper in person it said 0 for the flush but 199 for the diagnostic.. I literally have the payment overview and will attach it showing them trying to charge for trans flush. Pretty sure he/they did this because I asked for a diagnostic but doesn't give them the right to preform any other services without contacting. 1800 for a USED trans which is not the correct price they go for 1000 on the HIGH end.. For 1800 a Remanufactured trans with 0 miles can be bought hmm If it was 199 for the diagnostic does that mean the transmission flush was free... no it just means that it's 99 for a diagnostic and they charged for the trans flush.. i have screen recordings bc I knew once I seen the prices it was all bs and I was right. The point is that they lie for their reasons. Why would the paper show 199 for diagnostic and 0 for transmission flush when I got their in person + refused to give the paper of what was performed on my car.. smh said "no payment no paper" after he told me HE didn't want my money. Went inside to ask if they could pit it back on and they said no cause techs went home for the day while 3 techs were walking around. I spoke with Jason to ask for a quote on a starter replacement. I was quoted over $970. I called other establishments, and with the same information/car specs, was quoted under $600. Jason told me the starter itself is less than $200, and that the rest would be labor costs. I have been told by other establishments that it shouldn't take more than two hours, so $700+ for labor seems steep. I cannot speak to their service or technical skills, but would recommend shopping around before committing to any quotes they provide. read more

Had the air conditioning replaced on a 2001 dodge ram. Turned out that had a couple of leaks and the evaporator needed to be replaced with unique with this very professional mechanic shop is they gave a two year warranty which is pretty nice. They're not the cheapest but then they do super precision work so I went with the quality. They're also very good communicators. These guys definitely know what they're doing! read more

If I could give these guys more stars, I would! "honest mechanic" isn't something you hear much these days, but A&M automotive is the real deal! Brought my car in there for a job, and they called to tell me they'd encountered a bigger issue, but BEFORE they started work on it, they wanted to give me all the facts. WAY better than showing up to a much larger bill! When I told him we'd have to put the job off for a couple of weeks, he said, "no worries, we're just going to top off your fluids, and you can come get it when you're ready." Topping off my fluids? For free? Additionally, they had already had a part delivered (a lug nut), and he said not to worry about it. To top it all off, when I told him I was going to catch an Uber to come get the car, he said, "don't even worry about it. We have a shuttle, we'll come get you!" All of this for a job where they made zero money, and in fact, lost money on the fluids, the part, and the time/gas to come get me! Needless to say, they will be the first place I go when I am ready to get that work done, and I want to spread the word that these guys ROCK. read more

The service I needed on my vehicle was performed as expected, at the quoted price, in a reasonable amount of time, and have not had any problems after the fact. Staff was courteous. In today's world that gets you a 'great' rating because there are risks everywhere with a lot of these repair / service shops. I did ask how much an oil change was as I was heading out the door and was told $150 for full synthetic and inspection. That was disappointing. This is above dealer costs. Significantly more if the dealer is running a special, as they often do. So what's the point - go to the dealer and save money? Maybe I didn't have this right, but I always thought these shops existed because the dealer hourly rate was so high. read more

I was distracted by the passionate person's Yelp review from earlier this year and almost didn't take my car here, but I went ahead anyways and was pleasantly surprised. Their staff was friendly, both the service coordinator and the driver who took me to/from my office over 10 miles away (in traffic). The estimate I received over the phone, on a Saturday, matched almost identically to the bill I received when the service was completed. To be honest, I was nervous I'd see scope creep and have my bill balloon like most mechanics have earned the reputation for doing. This was not the case with A&M. Their prices were considerably better than the dealer ($400 vs $550) and I was happy they offer discounts for employees of large local companies. I first tried A&M when I needed an expensive car repair, and when I called around, A&M quoted me the best price. I have never regretted that decision. So when subsequent repairs needed to be done, I returned to A&M. I needed a brake job, and A&M took care of it, but when I drove it home, I noticed that the problem hadn't been completely fixed. So I returned to A&M, and they admitted they had overlooked a potential issue and repaired it for me for the cost of parts only, waiving the cost for additional labor (for as they said, they should've checked that the first time). However, that still didn't fix the problem (yikes!), so this time, the owner took direct control over the repair, quickly tracked down the actual problem, and once again, only charged me for parts, no labor. As a bonus, since the repair was going to take several days, he graciously allowed me the use of rental car for free. As far as I'm concerned, this is amazing service. Despite the necessity for three visits, A&M stood behind their work, and did everything they could to make up for their initial oversight. That willingness to make sure that the customer was satisfied speaks volumes about how they are now run. I highly recommend A&M for my friends, and I'll definitely be taking back my car whenever it needs additional service. read more

It's about 5 weeks now and I haven't heard from them about it then they want me to come in back for the install for the wiring harness and I've called them over 25 times they just give me the runaround. Spent some time in Bellevue this last month for work, and decided to have my 97' Cadillac serviced before returning the next morning after hearing from a co-worker about this solid shop.
