Midas Factoria really went the extra mile for me on Monday! Someone had stolen the catalytic converter from my Prius over the weekend and I needed to drive home to Salem. They ordered the parts before I even arrived, and assembled a team to do the work same-day! They did a complete check on my car and noticed my serpentine belt was cracked. They were able to replace it as soon as the converter was installed. I was in and out in 3 hours! They also alerted me that the oil was low so I took care of that after I got home. It was such a relief, knowing my car was in good driving condition for the trip home - AND their work cost less than HALF what the dealership would've charged, and less than Meineke. I've been to Midas twice in 2024 for wheel bearing and suspension issues with a 14 year old Mazda SUV. They've done right by me, fixed the problems professionally and also have avoided selling me parts and services I did not need. The staff were friendly and communicated very well, and they treated me honestly. Auto repair is expensive these days, but I got good service and my money's worth at Midas Factoria. I called them because I had a slow leak in my tire, and because I live in Seattle, I needed a place close to work so that I didn't have to get on the freeway with a low tire. I arrived and they told me to wait outside due to Covid. After about 20 minutes I was told my tire was not fixable (they said someone had previously fixed my tire incorrectly and that is the reason they couldn't do it). So I took my car all the way back to Seattle, nervous that I could have a blowout and get into an accident on the freeway on the way home. I brought it to Les Schwab after and they fixed it for free. Dropped my car off at 810 after making a appointment online a week before. Michelle was very professional and quoted exactly what the prices will be if I need a alignment or brake work... As a woman I left thinking okay, they could stick it to me but my boss loves this Midas so faith there. Got a call a few hours later. Alignment not needed but the $40 I spent towards the check was worth it as I will possibly need some rear issues of my car fixed, but paying $100+ for a alignment was not something I needed so I lost the $40 (the $40 would have gone towards the alignment cost ) but they were able to put my car up and check the full underbody and tell me what I might need in the future. Well worth it! Totally cost for oil change, fluid check. Tire rotation ( included in the oil change cost ) and $40 for the alignment check $110. As a T-Mobile employee got 10% off. So happy with the notes taken about my car and Michele was honest and upfront. Although I live in Seattle T-Mobile headquarters next door this is my new go to place. Called my auto insurance company today. I have already paid Midas $300+ dollars to fix the leak and there is still a leak. Since I don't know if my car is drivable to Midas (2 plus miles) I asked for help from my insurance company. I feel Midas doesn't give a rats especially toward female seniors. When I called Midas today to cancel, the counter woman must have been done this several times before as she certainly had pat answers. Her arrogance was notable. She said "it could be something else". Sounds like show me the money! it is a leaky hose that should have been fixed the first time. There is nothing else in that area of the engine. Service was quick, accurate, and they even provided me with a coupon to save money. They recommend future services that we'll be back for.

I went to Midas to get them to give me a quote on replacing my front brake pads. At first they didn't want to do it. They wanted a $60 brake inspection fee. They said if I chose to actually do the repair at their shop they would credit the $60 towards my repair bill. I told them I didn't want to do that, because doing that before I had a quote was financially coercive. It would force me to either lose $60 or use them regardless of the quote. Eventually, they said they would at least make an estimate and suggested that they would repair the pads for less than $500 as long as they could use the existing rotors. I asked them what that covered and they told me that, it covered the pads themselves cutting the rotors and labor. I asked them how much they were charging for labor. They said $200 an hour. I have a BMW. The BMW dealership charges $200 an hour. I told them forget it. Perhaps they would have done a good job, but I was convinced by my conversation with them that I didn't like the way they do business. read more

Really fast and cheap! They quoted me $140 for a service that would have cost me $3000 at a dealership. They also found other issues with my car that I had no idea about. An oil change takes about an hour - super fast!! The only problem is that they are super booked up, so you might have to wait a week to get an appointment because they are undercutting the market read more

Just an update on my Midas experience: We discovered that they botched the $1000 brake job they did on our car a few months ago, that it's now leaking brake fluid from the component they just replaced, and that the car has a CUT BRAKE LINE! I've independently verified this with two repair shops. Midas did a 45-point inspection and never found the cut brake line. They were the last people to touch the brakes on the car, so whether or not they caused the cut OR didn't find it at the time of their inspection doesn't matter to me - they put my safety at risk. Ken's response (the current manager - they seem to go through them quickly) to this: "take a walk." Ironically, that's what you have to do if you have your car serviced at Midas. read more

This will be my second time getting my car serviced at Midas, yes they let me know that I should get it all done at once but I resisted and now I'm back. I have had nothing but a good experience with them, the quotes I've gotten have been the lowest of any other auto dealer around (I called like 20) and will always look to save you money where they can. I have only used Midas in one narrow circumstance: when I need them to do a limited bit of work that requires machines I don't have. For example, taking the coils off shock absorber assemblies, or turning (aka skimming) brake rotors. In these situations, you can call ahead with your very specific job details, get a very specific quote, and then hold them to it. Although I have heard complaints from others, in my own limited transactions I have been satisfied. I would never go in with a labor-intensive problem like an engine rebuild, or an open-ended complaint; they are too expensive. E.g., they quoted me $400 for a muffler job that took my Dad and I a couple hours to do on our own. read more

Two weeks ago, made an appointment and brought my car for tire repair. The manager told told me the tire has a screw and can not be fixed because "it is too close to the edge of the tire." 4-stars says "Yay! I'm a fan." Absolutely true. I dealt with the old manager/staff. I've met the new owner face-to-face. Since then I've had $2500 in work done there BY CHOICE! I've compared their workmanship and their quotes with others in Bellevue - the work is as good and the prices are lower almost universally. (one out of six was not lower than Sears - but it only cost $15 more and I didn't have to drive across town) In one case their manager refused to work on my car because she didn't feel the transmission was something she could fix (or wanted to try to fix). She referred me to a specialist - who found a problem that would have cost me a new transmission. If these guys are as criminal as everyone says... they're certainly bad at it. Bottom-line: The old owner was ripping you off (and lying to the IRS and Midas Corporate). The new owner (who ironically was the original founding owner of this franchise) is a stand-up businessman who treats you fairly and will stand behind his staff's work - and fix their mistakes for free if necessary. (4-stars because I've had two return trips out of 6 repairs on my 3 older cars... both on complicated diagnoses that they didn't charge me for on the return trip - even after 4-hours of followup diagnostics and labor in one case). Few months ago I went to midas. They said my front caliper was cracked and would need completely new break system. Also told me my power steering pump was going bad and needed to be replaced. The quote was about $750 for each job. I did not have the money so I waited. I decided to go to the toyota dealer. Found out the caliper was not craked and the power steering pump was just fine. Just needed a regular front break job. I've been going to this midas for a few years now and I'm beginning to doubt that all of the "sugjested repairs" i had done previously was nessisary. Terrible. My husband and I ended up paying over 700 dollars for a crankshaft position sensor and the ignition control module. Of course they misdiagnosed our vehicle, which is why we had to replace the module. Their "professionals" still must not know what they are doing. DO NOT go to this Factoria Midas!!!!!! I can't stress this enough! DO NOT GO HERE!!!! I went into the Factoria location for the first time to get an oil change - the location was convenient. The guy at the front desk showed me (in a condescending way) the form that they use for the Courtesy Check and explained that as part of the oil change package, they also rotate tires, do a visual brake check, and inspect the battery, air filter, fluid, belts and hoses. Just 5-10 minutes after dropping off the car, they called and said that I needed to replace the radiator cap (it was broken), flush the coolant system, and clean/adjust/resurface the 2 rear brake drums. I came in for a $35 oil change package, and now was quoted services/labor of $300!!!! Okay... so are these add-on services really needed? Decision: My boyfriend and I decided to just go with the oil change and radiator cap replacement (those didn't cost much) and we held off on the drums and coolant. Horrible part #1: Just before picking up our car, a customer, who had just picked up her car returned. She had just left the Midas parking lot and noticed her car driving a bit strange. As she was returning to Midas, her TIRE FELL OFF and her car was stuck IN THE MIDDLE OF A BUSY ROAD!!! Seriously she is lucky that this situation wasn't any worse.... After collecting our car, we went straight to the Issaquah Midas (been to this one several times before and have loved the service - excellent customer service!!!!) and asked them to verify Factoria's work and recommendations. Issaquah Midas looked thru all the documents/receipts that Factoria gave me, and noticed Factoria failed to give me a copy of the Courtesy Check results. This copy would've documented the results of their inspection, including the pH levels of the coolant which would determine if a flush is needed. So Issaquah Midas kindly did the pH test for us and it came back NORMAL! COOLANT DOES NOT NEED FLUSHING!!!! Drums were just fine too. So that says it all... Horrible part 2: Factoria Midas tried to charge us for services that were not necessary!!!! On top of that they failed to provide standard documentation to their clients - that way there's nothing to disprove recommended services!!!!! And... they are just rude!!!! Go to Issaquah Midas!!!!! Great people and great service there!!!!! Issaquah, Bellevue, Kirkland, Bothel and Ballard are all owned by the same guy.
