The taro balls took a very long time to cook.. the glass noodles disintegrated in the broth. Overall, the ambiance is what made the meal great, it was cozy and pretty. The broth, the meat were okay. But then I referred back to their ad that children under 3 eats free. And the whole explanation was yes but they could not have their own pot. She says this is just company policy and that it's not my decision. A few minutes later she came back and said I talked to management and they said it was ok for you to have a pot of plain water. After this, she doesn't come back to check in on us or ask for any refills on the soup and had to flag her down. Plates were slow to be cleared. Food - in the past we loved the fresh noodles here, but not anymore. Maybe it's due to less people, but the noodles are old and stay clumped up together. Everything else was pretty typical with the vegetables and the various types of fish balls. I don't think we will be returning here anytime soon. There are so many hot pot places to go to that are higher quality and better service. It's sad because they were once so popular, but I don't think they have adapted to the changing restaurant options in flushing.

Also, a drink station with water, orange juice, passion fruit juice and iced tea. Everything is ordered on the tablet that is at the table and the staff there are very observing since every time we have an empty plate/dish they would come back and remove it from our table. As we were leaving, I was confronted by the owner or head manager (me and him spoke Thai) inquired what was wrong with the service. He stated that the waitress had complained about the TIP amount less than 10%. We explained that we had not included the approximately $30 takeout order in our tip calculation, especially considering it was a buffet restaurant. A quick calculation would have shown that the $10 TIP represented roughly 15% on the dining portion alone, and the waitress's primary contribution during our visit was simply providing water and choice of 'appetizers'. I gave them 5 stars on google and yelp 6 years ago (going to delete it) I have always recommended this place to my boss and colleagues from NY, NJ to PA But I will have to retract my recommendation to them after this. I REPEAT 'DO NOT COME HERE' We will NOT be returning. While the food itself was decent but the UNGRATEFUL ATTITUDE and handling of the situation completely ruined what had otherwise been a pleasant meal. I REPEAT DO NOT COME HERE! I was so impressed with Xi Yue Hui Seafood Hot Pot that I went back two days in a row! The all-you-can-eat option (excluding a few specialty items) offered fantastic value and amazing variety. The service was excellent, with attentive staff readily available. On my first visit, I even had the chance to try live mantis shrimp as part of the all-you-can-eat selection, and it was incredibly delicious! As with any hot pot experience, the quality of your meal ultimately depends on your own creativity and skill in crafting your dipping sauce and cooking the ingredients. However, the fresh, high-quality ingredients at Xi Yue Hui provided a solid foundation for culinary success. I must say, I think I did a pretty good job as a self-proclaimed hot pot chef, so I'm giving myself 5 stars! Overall, Xi Yue Hui Seafood Hot Pot is a must-try for anyone looking for a fun and delicious all-you-can-eat hot pot experience with excellent service and fresh ingredients. The hot pot here is delightful. There are a ton of options from which to choose from. These range from meat to vegetables and appetizers to sashimi. Since the portions are small, you can practically order one of everything. Although, please only order as much as you can eat because you will be charged for excessive leftovers. I would had given this place five stars, but the price was a bit steep. Maybe if the price was lowered by ~$5 or so, it would had been perfect. Nonetheless, I highly recommend this hot pot place. Very clean hotpot spot ! Food is clean and the soup is delicious. It is busy almost every time we get there so definitely need a reservation before coming in. It is one of my favourite all you can eat hotpot in town . There are hotpot/BBQ and also separate hotpot soup blow if you want your own soup. The price is very reasonable for a lunch and dinner . Having to come back from HK... my expectations are pretty FREAK'n high With inflation sky rocketing, meals are extortionate. However, fear not! 37 Xiang has reasonably priced all you can eat option for meats versus seafood! Personally, I'm not been one to order seafood for hotpot but now I am converted. Posssibly the best shrimp platter I have ever had. The breaded shrimp platter was extrmely delicious. Made to order. I got 1/2 of jumbo shrimp perfectly cooked and savory. A side of buttery fluffy rice, patatoes, and 2 pieces of toast. I could not stop eating it as I drove home. Cant wait to go back this weekend. 10/10 would recommend. I truly appreciated the experience of receiving fresh, high-quality ingredients that I could cook to my preference. My fourth or fifth time coming here. I always order the matsutake chicken soup for my base, its super good!! (highly recommend it) The service here are also very nice, staff are very nice. I've never had them like that before anywhere, so it's definitely a chefs special. They were made crispy on the outside but soft and flavorful on the inside. Highly recommend. All the other dishes were also fantastic. Portions are also great, we ended up taking lots home. They gave us free dessert jellies which is also a classic Sichuan dessert; they also had a deal where you get free drinks if you order a certain amount of food, so we got two free drinks. I would have given a five star if not for the super long wait. Granted we did go for Christmas Day dinner. We saw them having to turn away lots of customers. They are super popular. Main issue is there isn't a number system, so getting a table felt a bit random; we considered ourselves lucky. Our servers were very friendly and nice. They told us it would be a bit of a wait, but this was the longest I've ever waited for food: 45 min before the first dish was served. We ordered 5 dishes with rice (forgot to take pictures of two of them). I wasn't told one of the dishes I ordered wasn't available until 30 min after I placed my order. But when the food did come, they all can't together so we didn't have to keep waiting. The servers were also attentive after despite how busy and clearly overwhelmed they were, which was really nice. In conclusion, great food with good portions for spice lovers. Very nice servers and try not to go on Christmas Day since it can get really busy.
