This is an excellent restaurant located in Rome. Right off the main road that is their Rodeo drive, is this ultra small but very affordable place. After visiting all their pose boutiques, we received 2 recommendations to go here for amazing food at an affordable price. The food selection is what you can normally think of in Rome. This is the first place that I saw, which had veal as Saobuco with garlic mashed potatoes. And it was better than it sounded. We also had vodka penne - which was very well done. It's a 5 star meal, if not for the service. The waiter was horrible. There were some very demanding families there and he was clearly upset by them. As a result we did not get the best level of service. The waiter was quick and didn't entertain any questions. I would recommend this place if it is not too busy.

I recently ate at 34 for my second time and just like the first time, it was wonderful through and through. I'm from Chicago but always make a point to visit 34 when I'm in Rome and it never disappoints. I ordered the spinach and ricotta ravioli and it was truly out of this world. In addition to the amazing food, the service is always 11/10 as well. I cannot recommend 34 enough and already cannot wait for my next time back!

Everything was delicious!!!!! I'm sure you will love what you order! The roasted veal shank was delicious and the pasta... was ahhhmazing!!!! We were sharing everything but the pasta was so good I could have kept eating the whole dish. Then chocolate soufflé was perfectly balanced. It wasn't overly sweet so the chocolate was the star and baked to perfection. We ate so many things, I didn't photograph everything and sorry we started to eat before I remembered to snap a photo

We visited Italy for one week and were so excited to try Ristorante Al 34 after being recommended the restaurant by our hotel concierge and also one of our friends that lives in Rome heard great things about it from their local friends as well. I made reservations with the restaurant over Instagram, and they were so helpful and accommodating with the request and responded very quickly - even with changes in our party size along the way as our friends we were meeting brought extra people as well. When we arrived for our reservation time, they welcomed us warmly and had our table ready upon arrival. We started with a bottle of wine - at the most, the nicest bottle of wine I believe was 40 euros. We selected a red wine for 30 euros and it was superb! We ordered a variety of appetizers, ranging in price up to 20 euros. We also ordered 3 different pastas and they split up the pastas for us in the kitchen to where we could all try different pastas on a big plate. It was a great way to try the various pastas! The pasta dishes ranged in price up to 15 euros. They all were outstanding and probably the best pasta I ever had. Service was outstanding along with the food and I highly recommend trying the restaurant if you're in Rome!

I really enjoyed this place! -My butternut squash and pistachio gnocchi was creamy, delicious, and unlike anything I've ever had before. -Service was attentive and honest about their recommendations, which I appreciated. -Portions were large and filling -Location was fun and lively- a lot of people walk through this alley-sized street, you'll experience street artists playing (and sometimes coming to your table to ask for money, which was a slight nuisance).

My husband and I came to this wonderful restaurant to celebrate our 5 year anniversary. We both felt like we couldn't have picked a better place. I had sent an email to the restaurant for a reservation and they were so helpful. Upon arrival, we were greeted and seated right away. I had mentioned we were celebrating our anniversary and they gave us two flutes of wonderful champagne as soon as we sat down. The attentiveness of the wait staff has been the best we've experienced in a very long time. Our cocktails we ordered were both delicious and the slice octopus appetizer was very fresh and tasteful. My husband and I shared the lobster linguine, which was so much better than I already expected. I love the flavor of the pasta, and the lobster was cooked perfectly. When our third course arrived, it was so much bigger than we expected. The side potatoes were delicious, but the roasted veal shank was the STAR of the show! The meat was so tender and had so much flavor. We left the restaurant very full and so happy. Hounds down the best service and food we've had in years.

Best Italian dinner!! Our waiter was so kind and efficient. We found out on our second visit he usually bartends!!! . We had the truffle gnocchi, seafood linguini and mussels sauté. They are very busy and popular so reservations are recommended. Indoor and outdoor dining.

Best restaurant I tried in Roma, great foods. Suggested to try ox tail , seafood linguine. Need to call in to make reservation first.

Eggplant Parm was something special. Recommend it and Calamari for a starter. Their Pinot was pretty good and priced well.

Our hotel manager had suggested another restaurant, but I was apprehensive to try, but did later, more on that restaurant review in it's own post. I rather did what I should have done throughout the trip to, which is to search google for local reviews. This tactic I found to be much better than to trust American reviews for restaurants to visit from Youtube or even here, just because the American touristy taste tends to favor bland or Olive Garden style pseudo Italian. The real Italian taste is much different and something one needs to develop. I was familiar with European Italian food, as I had said before in other reviews that Mexico has better Italian food outside of Italy. Additionally, the good restaurants here in Italy do not open before 7 PM. If it does or if someone that looks foreign to Italy is outside trying to lure you in, it's a tourist restaurant with iffy flavor. At this restaurant my husband had the Lobster pasta and I had the spinach/ricotta ravioli, and we both were beyond satisfied. We also had the artichoke as an appetizer, and trusted the waiter with his suggestion for a bottle of wine. He must have been some genius because the wine went well with our meal. The ambience was cozy and very family oriented, however, the rain outside made it romantic for us. Another key point for this restaurant and it traditional flare was that they brought out the olive oil and red vinegar for our salad and of course olive oil for our wonderful home-made bread. I'm so glad we chose this place for those of us Americans who understand culinary cuisine.

I was surprised when I read the Yelp reviews that a few of my awesome Yelpers also dined here too and gave high marks so I was very excited to give them a try. After ordering some tasty vino we went the Focaccia with mozzarella, black truffle with a truffle cream sauce. The Focaccia was lite and a thin crust. Topped with some delicious mozzarella and black truffle made this appetizer and home run choice. After the Focaccia I decided to stay on theme and went with the Fettuccine al tartufo nero e porcini (fettuccine black truffle & porcini mushrooms). Holy cow, a delicious culinary delight. Some other hits of the table included the beef fillet with green pepper sauce & Digione mustard. Astice grigliato, verdure al vapore e maionese alla curcuma (Grilled lobster with steamed veggies in a mayonnaise turmeric sauce and a Lasagna, tartufo nero, funghi, mozzarella e grana (lasagna with blach truffle, mushrooms, mozzarella and Parmesan cheese) All were just amazing. Impeccable service and an old world Italian charm decor made this a delightful experience.

There is a restaurant on the same corner with the same name so make sure you end up at the right place. There is always a woman in the front window rolling out fresh pasta so you know it's legit. This place is very popular so you should expect to have to wait in a line outside for a table, trust me it is worth it. The waitstaff keeps things moving and are very organized so just be patient. I ordered an Aperol Spritz and water for drinks. The cocktail was a nice size, well balanced, and I loved the branded glass. It was very hot outside so appreciated the cold drinks and AC units. We also ordered a side of bread to share, which of course comes with olive oil and balsamic, so we could soak up every ounce of the delicious pasta sauces. The bread crust was crispy and warm and inside soft, perfect. So many pasta options on the menu. Every dish I have tried has been spectacular, but I decided to get the Carbonara again as it was my favorite last time. The sauce is rich and decedent, the noodles are a thicker type and perfectly al dente, and the pancetta and cheese on top adds lovely saltiness. It's so satisfying. You will be full after you devour every bite so you don't need the Second course. We couldn't even do dessert. Osteria da Fortunata has multiple locations and open late, so I highly recommend you try them when visiting Rome. This is a town of amazing food, but here really just hits the spot!

Very Disappointing Experience - Osteria da Fortunata, Pantheon Location…read more We have visited Rome several times and have eaten at Osteria da Fortunata della Cancelleria on Via della Cancelleria. During our previous visits, we had excellent experiences with both the food and the customer service, which is why tonight's experience was especially disappointing. We ordered the carbonara and spaghetti, and unfortunately, the pasta was undercooked, very chewy, and cold. It was not at all the quality we had experienced during our previous visits. When we asked the waiter to take the carbonara back because it was not edible, his attitude was extremely disappointing. Rather than offering to replace the dish or addressing our concern professionally, he told us that the manager had approved it and that we could simply take the food home. What made the experience even worse was the atmosphere of this location. The restaurant felt more like a factory than an authentic Italian dining experience. We noticed the staff using walkie-talkies to communicate with the host, and as soon as customers left their tables, the waiter would communicate with the host to immediately send new customers in to fill the space. It gave us the impression that the priority was turning tables over as quickly as possible rather than providing guests with a pleasant dining experience. The constant rush was noticeable and took away from what should have been an enjoyable meal in Rome. It is very unfortunate because we have visited Osteria da Fortunata several times in the past and genuinely enjoyed both the food and the service. Tonight, however, the cold and poorly cooked pasta, the attitude of the waiter, and the rushed, factory-like atmosphere made this a very disappointing experience.
