This truck made a stop in our neighborhood this week and the line was down the block! I have heard good things, so we jumped in line and waited for the chance to try some pies! They were out of quite a few things by the time it was our turn, but they still had the old standard "chicken" so I figured it would be a good test to see how they stack up against Marie Calendar's. Initially I was a little concerned by the size. Would this be sufficient for a complete dinner? Cold winter night + COVID eating habits had me doubtful! Thank goodness I was wrong. The crust was flaky and rich and the filling was seasoned perfectly. It's much less "creamy" than Marie's version but it definitely has superior crust and flavors. I was satisfied. read more

Found this adorable pie truck while pondering through Woodinville wine district for a leisurely walk. They were parked up near Lord Lion Winery and after looking on Instagram, this is one of the few times they were on the Eastside so I took advantage of picking up a sweet pie! They have lots of savory options, but I was craving something sweet. They had a pecan pie, and a seasonal cherry peach with walnut streusel. I went for the seasonal option. It cost just $5, and was huge! The staff were fully masked and had a touch less pay system, as well as friendly. Once I got the pie home, I ended up splitting over 2 days. The cherries and peaches were jam packed into the fresh pie crust, and the fruit clearly fresh and packed with flavor. I'm hoping to try some of their savory and other sweet options soon. Wow I'm so happy I found this place! I hope they are back around East Seattle area more often!! read more

Decent food truck, all the prices are not round numbers (i.e. chicken pot pie for $8.22) , but with tax, everything comes out to round numbers say, $9. Really tasty pies. Yes, it's 100% butter, so the crust is 100% amaaazing. It has an extra bit of savouriness, almost like theres a smidge of cheese in there. Either way. It does not disappoint. Filling options were varied. I had bites of the cajun jambalaya, lamb pie, and chicken pot pie. The Jambalaya wasn't too spicy but was terrifically smoky, resulting from the slices of sausage inside. It was also packed with rice, so unlike a soupy pot pie, it was quite solid. The chicken pot pie and lamb were more classic pot pies. Delicious. The pies aren't too big, it comfortably fits in one hand, but it is satisfying - a portion that is just right. There were a couple sweet and savory options sold out, like the pecan pie, by the time we went (2 hours after the beginning of the lunch hour). I think it's not uncommon so it's better to get here early to have all the options! read more

314 Pie - Chicken pot pie, fork for size - Food Trucks Near Me

In my quest to try every food truck in the area, I find myself looking at 314 Pie, a blue truck with premade, ready to go personal sweet/savory pies. It's simple, they have a selection of about 8-10 types, 5 savory, and 3 sweet, with a few seasonal/limited edition ones to keep you coming back. I had the Steak, Cheese and Mushroom one, which was the recommendation of the awesome food trucker worker. She briskly pulled one out of the baked goods display/warmer in the truck and into a neat paper bag, without a miss-step, a fork was stabbed, leaking out the smell of amazing meat filled goodness. Good gracious! It was hot and delicious... I mean the meat was seasoned nicely, it was filled with flavor. Sure the pie itself isn't that big, but when I got back to my building, and sat down, the smell made my team instantly hateful of me. This is one that you can eat fast, if you just need to eat.. but if you take a moment to eat, bite by bite, you will greatly enjoy it. and the value behind it makes it worth the money, which was 8 bucks! Yikes, but it's worth it. They are either around Amazon or Microsoft, and they do catering. Recommendation, go there at least a few times, and find time to savor it. read more

You know if you are reviewing food while you are eating it it means you can't wait to share your thoughts with the world. My favorite pot pie place closed a couple years back and I've searched for a replacement and finally I found it! I love this pie so much I'm tempted to drive back to the truck be buy another one. Not a vegetarian but I'm always down with a vegetable curry pie and boy did this one not disappoint. I encourage you to take a chance on this one! And can we just talk about that crust?! I'm going to stalk this truck. read more

BEST Steak and mushroom pie I have ever had!!! I order from them all the time! EXCELLENT!

I found this food truck, as it was one of the food vendors at the Snohomish Beer Festival. With your ticket you get a voucher for a food item, so decided to use the voucher here for the Lamb Pie w/ Stout Gravy, as it was recommended by the cashier as his favorite. Although the cashier was very friendly and was able to get my food as soon as I paid I didn't like the pie as much as I had hoped. There is good flavor with the stout gravy, but the shreds of lamb seemed to be on the more dry side, so the gravy was necessary. The presentation of your own personal pie is nice, but was mostly disappointed by the small portion of the stuffing. Because of the small amount of lamb, veggies and stout the pie served more as a snack than a meal. And I wasn't a pan of the thick parts of the crust where the folding was, as the texture was hard and flaky. The fodo truck is a cool concept, but wish the food has been better. read more

314 Pie - Lamb Pie w/ Stout Gravy - Food Trucks Near Me

I have no idea what all the fuss is about. I got the Lamb Pie with Stout Gravy and it was a dry, overpriced, tiny portion of mehhh. The lamb was tough and overcooked, the gravy tasted nice but was not oozing and adding that sauce to each bite like it should. The crust was burnt around the edges and a lot of it was just stuck to the bottom. The pie itself was tiny for price. And this was just 10 minutes after they opened so it's not like they might have been sitting out all day. I love meat pies and eat them a lot, both at home and out. This one really missed the mark on multiple fronts. I'll pass. No thank you. read more

To start off... I'm an Aussie :) I wouldn't call myself a meat pie connoisseur though. In the past 5.5 years I haven't had many pies at all, so maybe my review is positively biased because of nostalgia. I've tried their steak pie and lamb pie several times when their truck comes to Redmond. Although I've had some amazing pies back home, I'm pretty happy with 314 and I'm glad they're always close by. I usually like lamb a lot, but their steak pie is better. I'm not sure what it is, but the flavour of the lamb pie doesn't hit the spot for me. Today, I tried their wild mushroom pie for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. This is a solid pie! It's rare for me to prefer a vegetarian option over meat. I think they've done a great job with the flavours in this mushroom pie. Will definitely get it again :) read more

We used 314 Pie for our wedding. We had a really wonderful and easy experience working with them. Booking them was super easy. Deke responded to all of our emails very quickly. He was able to customize an order that included several yummy appetizers. The prices were THOUSANDS of dollars cheaper than other catering trucks and companies. For the actual event, working with them is best summarized with the word "easy". Deke communicated clearly, was completely prompt (our wedding was 2.5 hours from Seattle and required a ferry ride), arranged the food in a beautiful display, was super friendly and great with our guests and best of all- the food was terrific. I would highly recommend them for other catering events. read more

This was my second time eating from this truck. I tried the ratatouille pie and it look so good but it was SO BAD. I want to think that someone dropped the salt jar by mistake and didn't want to tell the crew. This pie was eating like a big salt rock. And I don't know if it was because the ratatouille was way too salty but the mushroom pie (which I've had before once) had no flavor at all. read more

I bought their steak, mushroom, and cheddar pie yesterday from their truck. For the money, it's tiny, but it did contain a lot of meat relatively. Plus, the meat was peppery which was good. It wasn't hot since they leave their pies uncovered out in the open and there were a lot of flies on them. I think maybe they should wait to bake them until the food truck gets to where they're going. read more

Hit this truck at the Taco Truck Challenge. I had the Taco Pie and one of their chocolate chip almond cookies! The pie was pretty simple, just taco meat and cheese, but it was really good (I ended up topping it with some salsa, onions, and cilantro at a different truck, don't tell on me). The cookie was REALLY good; It was really thick and warm, so when I broke it in half there was a large amount of gooey chocolate. The food warranted the 5-star, but the only reason I am writing a review is because of what I saw one of the employees doing. I circled back to throw away some garbage, and one of their employees was rummaging through the garbage can outside the truck, and sorting the trash! She pulled out all the compostable items, and put them in the correct bin; pulled out all the recyclables, and then recycled them! Good for you 314 Pie, I applaud the extra effort to help out the environment. read more

According to 314 Pie's site, they were supposed to be at the Broadway Farmers Market on Christmas Eve from 11 AM - 3 PM (see screenshot). However, we arrived at the market at 1 PM, and 314 Pie was not there. A round trip to the market in Capitol Hill cost us nearly $20 for the Ubers and an hour of wasted time. 314 Pie - Food Trucks Near Me

My general rule is to visit a new truck twice before I review it. I was excited to see a pie truck hit the streets of Seattle. The first time I visited 314 Pie was at Wine World. That day, the only pies they had were steak and onion ($8) and vegetable curry ($7). I had the steak and onion pie. The crust was light, flaky, and fantastic! It was a beautiful shade of golden brown. Unfortunately, the crust was the best thing about the pie. The filling was very bland. Also, the cuts of meat (see picture) had healthy portions of fat on it. I'm all for cooking with fat and even eating fat, however, I wasn't expecting every piece to be like that. The second time I visited the truck was yesterday at the 2nd & Pike pod. Upon my arrival, I wondered why they did not have a line because Jemil's Big Easy and The Grilled Cheese Experience had very long lines. The answer became clear very quickly. At 12:30 PM, after being open for about an hour and a half, the truck was again, down to only two different kinds of pies: steak and onion ($8) and chicken, bacon, and cheese ($8). I got the chicken, bacon, and cheese. As was my previous experience, the crust was very good. The filling was bland (again) and this time, very dry. In the two times I've gone out of my way to visit the truck, I've had very little choices, and never had the option of getting a sweet pie. Social media presence has been decent for a new truck. However, since a route is not set, there's not a whole lot to say. I'm disappointed because the men who own the truck really seem very nice. I asked when they thought they would stabilize production. I was told they are running 2 days a week and they hope to get up and running to 5 days a week after they figure out how many pies to make. The reality is that they are not making enough pies for 2 days a week so it's hard for me to imagine that they will make enough for 5 days a week. I'm simply not that patient. I have upwards of 20 trucks to choose from on any given day, depending on the neighborhood I'm in. With a lackluster product and unreliable inventory, I'm probably going to pass from now on. Also, I can get a decent competitor's product at the price point of $6. read more

"Today is an excellent day for pie," I told myself at lunch. And I was sooo right. 314 Pie has fast become one of my new favorites on the Seattle food truck scene, for three reasons: they're fast, they're affordable, and most importantly, they're delicious. 314 Pie typically offers 3 or 4 varieties of savory pies, a sweet pie, and "cinnamon pie fries," a delightful concoction of cooked pie dough, cinnamon and sugar. Each is already made and ready to go - once you order your only wait is half a minute or so while they wrap it for you. Each pie is about 6 inches across, about the size of a typical pot pie, and once you hold it you can feel how warm and heavy it is, perfect for a cold day like today. My mouth is watering already. I've tried the three meat pies - chicken, beef, and lamb - and enjoyed each for the rich, warm, satisfying filling and flaky, tasty crust. Each savory pie runs about $8. I find myself usually choosing the lamb, moist and tender, but the beef pie is a close second favorite. There is also a vegetable curry pie, which I haven't tried...though I will someday. The sweet pies have ranged from pear to peach to today's delicious caramel apple, complete with a crushed pecan crust, for $5. Oh my...amazing. The cinnamon pie fries are pretty good for $1, but if you really want to treat yourself, do go for the sweet pie...trust me. End result: a satisfying lunch in the form of two pretty little pies, for $13. It may seem like only a little food at first, but I swear those little things are bigger on the inside - I enjoy every bite and finish my lunch feeling well-fed. Yes - it was a good day for pie. But isn't it always? read more

Amazingly delicious pie, delivered straight to your door (if you're in the delivery area at least, which I am thankfully). Several vegetarian options, plus all the sweet options. They say to warm to room temperature for those but I've found 2 minutes in the microwave will warm them right up too. So far I've tried the wild mushroom, caramel apple, and buttercream and they are all delicious. Will order again. read more

314 Pie came to our Neighborhood this week and I had a chance to try their pies. I thought at first that $10/pie was a bit steep but I decided to try 2 of each(chicken, Isra. chicken and mushroom out of beef) Now that my wife and I have finished the chicken pies I want to say the pie was well worth the price and the best savory pies I have ever had. I can't wait to have the mushroom and look forward to trying all of them. I will now be Stalking this truck. Thank you Chef Dom! read more

I'm updating my review. The owner got a hold of me and explained that a few weeks ago they had discovered an issue with their pies that was short lived and remedied it just after I tried their pies. He offered me a refund and a free pie. I think that is very fair and kind. While I can't take him up on it because I rarely ever get to where his food truck is, I thank him for it and I trust that the issue has been resolved. His customer service shows that he really does care about his product and that is very much appreciated. Thank you for excellent customer service. read more

Stopped after work at the Lake City Farmers Market. The pancetta and pea pie was sold out; it would have been my first choice. I opted for the steak, mushroom and onion. Presentation is great but as a baker I suspected from the appearance that the crust was a tiny bit dry and it was. If you are a meat lover, this one is for you! I would have loved more mushrooms and I couldn't find the onions. There wasn't much of a sauce binding the filling but it still tasted very good. While it sounds like I shouldn't have given 5 stars, I did because the portion was perfect for dinner, it was not overly seasoned but prepared well, reasonable for a mid-week treat, & still warm after my 20 min. drive home! Thank you so much for dinner :) read more

Ordered these for delivery and they were sooo good! The Cordon Bleu is very flavorful. Will order again.

Saw a post on my neighborhood FB group about ordering these. Ours came tonight and I'm so excited I had to leave a review! We had chicken pot pie, lamb & potato ,wild mushroom apple and a custard pie. Everything was PERFECTION! Okay you put them in the oven (sweet pies already cooked) for 30 minutes and they come out ready to go. I pulled out tin foil to wrap the edges and then decided not to. Does not need it. Crust is ridiculously amazing. I'm reordering right now and got sidetracked to leave a review. Maybe I'm just so grateful to have real food at home I didn't make that I'm overly content but I do not think so. read more

Just tried two of their pies and was impressed. Their vegetable curry pie was very nice. It had a nice amount of spice, the veggies were cooked really well, and the crust was really tasty. I have a gluten sensitivity but cheated a little with their pies and it was worth it. Their wildflower honey custard dessert pie was perfect; not too sweet. The price for both pies was $13 for both pies, good price. Would cheat here again read more

I ordered the steak & cheddar pie with a desert of cranberry & orange. Both were delicious, great flavor in the filling with good crust. There was a very short line on a rather cold december day, but the warm pies really hit the spot. The pies also maintained their warmth on the short walk back to my office, something that many warm foods from food trucks lack the ability to do. The steak & cheddar is extremely filling. They may look small but they really pack a punch when it comes to filling me up, I could barely finish my desert. Their rather small circumference is certainly made up for in depth and density. read more

I visited this truck for lunch, and it was disappointing. The pie itself was tasty, but it was too small for the price. Other food trucks offer half again as much food for the same cost. If you have an eating disorder or the appetite of a small bird, they are probably just about perfect. I ordered the lamb, potato, and rosemary pie, and my cohorts ordered steak and mushroom pies. The crust was decently flaky and buttery, but the filling was bland and dry. The meat was not overcooked; merely under-seasoned, but not wholly unappetizing. As regards the dryness, it could be easily fixed by the addition of a brown gravy. A bigger pie, with gravy in addition to meat and veggies, would easily have gotten four stars. As it was, I had to go somewhere else immediately after to fill my belly. If you want an actually excellent pie, I suggest Pie in Fremont. read more

Loved this truck! Ordered the Steak and Cheese pie. The crust was both beautiful and tasty - flaky, chewy, thick, crispy - a little bit of everything. The filling was warm, gooey, and flavorful. Nice big chunks of flavorful, savory beef, with the cheese melted in as part of the sauce. The pie came out of the truck piping hot, which was perfect for a freezing cold evening. It was served in a little paper bag, and was simple to eat with a fork. Other options on the menu included: black eyed pea/collards/ham hock, steak and mushroom, steak and onion, macaroni and cheese/pancetta, and a couple more. Looking forward to trying more from these guys, as the whole menu looked delicious. read more

I came here on their first day in SLU; by the time I made it to the front of the line (12:03 pm) they had run out of the Steak & Mushroom and Steak & Onion pies. A bit of a bummer, as the remainder (Lamb & Rosemary, and Chicken & Bacon) were not up to my taste preferences - but at the end of the list they did have a vegetarian offer of a Curry pie. So I tried that! I'm glad I did, as the crust is nicely toothsome, a bit chewy, and flaky. The insides were a bit spicy-hot, which just added to the savor. If I were you, I'd come early as they have QUITE the line! And I hope they make more pies for day two :) Most pies were $8, and I look forward to trying the $2 chocolate chip cookie someday...just not hungry enough for both today! read more

I am a HUGE believer that Seattle food trucks over charge and that is why some of them have no lines... ever. Don't get me wrong, I get that food should be between a 200% and 400% markup. But as a diner, I hope to see a value in the product. When I received my pie, it was light in my hand. I LOVED that it was ready immediately and smelled good. Looked good and tasted good. In fact, it was really good. I just wished I had a few more bites. Everybody has advice... If you are at a location and you want to build returning business and you have a great product, try some marketing. Give 10 coupons to each person who buys a pie. The coupon is $2 off a pie that costs $8 or $9 and is ONLY good on the next day you are at the location. Sure, it cuts into your profits for that day, but you may build a recurring customer base. Maybe you post coupons on Facebook on specific days. Just need to tell people when they come to your window that discounts and specials are available on FB or twitter. Sorry... I am just another know-it-all. Still liked the pie. read more

These guys are amazing. We had them cater our wedding. On Pie Day. Other places wouldn't give us the time of day when we told them when our wedding was going to be. Deke not only agreed to cater for us, but he took special orders (the steak pie without mushrooms was so good that it dethroned chicken pie as my wife's long time favorite). On top of excellent food, they had great service. Many of our guests cancelled their trips because of COVID-19 and we had to reduce our order mere days before our wedding. They were understanding and accommodating. I can not recommend 314 Pie enough. In fact, I'm signing up on Yelp just to post this review. read more

The truck stopped outside our work recently and we had got to see the menu before they arrived. I had eyed the chicken pot pie, but the beef and mushroom one looked good too. I ended up with the chicken pie and really glad I did. The pies are perfect for one person, a little pricey at $8, but I think well worth it as a rare treat. The chicken and veggies in the sauce were cooked & seasoned perfectly and the pie crust was to die for! That was really my favorite part! I could have eaten a large pie crust all by itself! It was so flaky and buttery and just yumm. Sorry, I could probably write a review on just the crust, haha. Everyone else who got pies raved about theirs, too. They even have pie fries for $1! I'd love for them to stop by again soon if they can :-) read more

I found this wonderful food truck on seattlefoodtruck.com. They reached out to me and provided a quote for a holiday lunch I threw at my company. They were very helpful explaining the menu and have very reasonable pricing. We order 150 savory pies and 150 sweet pie and people were very impressed. The great thing about this truck is they can move through orders super fast. We rushed the door at 11am and with one person, they were able to fly through orders. The lamb was excellent and the dessert pie were fun. I was worried about the size and that it would not be enough food but I was feeling it at the end of my savory pie and let me tell you, I can eat. YUM. I stumbled on them at the Bellevue Crossroads Farmers Market. I was there just to get several flats of berries but told my 4 year old that we'd see if there was anything fun there to eat, for lunch. The first thing I spotted was 314 Pie - actually, I think I smelled them before I saw them, it was hard to ignore. (It smelled delicious.) Well all I had to say was the word "pie" to my son, and he was in. He chose the steak and mushroom, I got the ground beef. Oh, it was all DELICIOUS and totally satisfying. The ground beef actually made me nostalgic for my grandomother's goulash, of all things. Perfectly seasoned. And the steak in my son's pie was perfectly done - it wasn't too dry or chewy. It was like a delicious beef stew IN A PIE CRUST. (I mean, really - when you add crust of any sort to anything, it makes it that much better.) Yeah, they're not cheap, but... ya know. If this is how you eat, you should expect it. Like when my husband asked me how much they were and I said, "Well, it's handmade pies at a food truck at the farmer's market...." He guessed a dollar more than they were. I got a couple cold ones to take home for my husband. I got him the steak as well as the "lamb & stout." He ate the lamb pie last night and loved it so much he asked me to send him the website, so he could check and see where their food truck would be during the work week. I had the caramel apple pie, and I was not a fan. The service was prompt, but the pie was soggy in the middle, some apples were cooked well, others were still crunchy.
