    Cocktails! And tasty srasonal soup!
    Marvin R.

When visiting Renton, there are some signature restaurants to be sure. One of these to be on your list, is or should be, Premier Meat Pies (or PMP) If the name sounds familiar, they have locations at the very touristy destinations of the Seattle Center Armory (i.e. Center House for us old school folks) on the historic Seattle Waterfront. Owned by Nathan and Karen Bainbridge, PMP inhabitants the strategic and beloved location in Renton's Downtown area on 3rd Avenue and Main. This is the spiritual homebase of the PMP brand, and Renton residents, and diners, are glad its here. Their unique pies are formed by hand from machines that are, literally, over 100 years old. But PMP puts their own modern twist to the classics. They have both savory and sweet pies. I particularly enjoyed their Guiness Sheppard's Pie with a generous portion of mashed potatoes and lager based gravy. A tasty side salad is recommended to keep you honest as you cleanse your palate for other offerings. Adult beverages for your order? Along with being available in their main dining area, PMP has a special bar area with screens available for local sports broadcasts! Need a cocktail?? Specialty spirits along with a few choice microbrews on tap. How about a dessert pie? Well you must enjoy my personal favorite of their berry cobbler with a scoop of ice cream. In all, for its very efficient space, this place is a destination, a local hangout, date night location, and fancy sports bar. Come on down for pie, and a premier experience!

I wanted to try their pies, after seeing multiple ads on IG. The Tacoma location was empty at 5 pm, which was great for me, but would probably be an indication of their food. The interior was very bright and appeared clean. I was quickly greeted by the only employee in the front. I asked the employee which she recommended and ordered one of her "favorites," the steak and mushroom. I also ordered the Sheppard's pie. Neither were exceptional, the Sheppard's pie was the best of the two. I wouldn't go back or travel very far for these.

We both did the Epic Pie experience and got a Steak and Mushroom pie and a Classic Shepherds Pie.

This was our first time here and it was incredible! Heather was such a welcoming hostess and gave wonderful recommendations! We both did the Epic pie experience with a classic shepherd pie and a steak and mushroom one. Highly recommend and will be returning!!! The food is delicious!!!

Excellent meal. Heather was a great waitress. Incredible thoughtful services. Ambiance was quiet but lively. Never a dull minutes.

We really wanted to try this place for a long time now and last Friday we finally did! We had a great experience here, the staff which is Jesse James is knowledgeable and super nice! He makes us feel so welcome even our dog Olive. The restaurant was not packed but there were diners and customers who came in to order Togo. The interior was bright and spacious, they have TV's so it might be a good place to watch sports game. We ordered steak and mushroom pie but the server said it will take like 20 to 25 minute wait so we opted to order the Guinness pie and the beef and cheese pie but the pies that we ordered are all delicious and filling! The chili is yummy, the caprese salad is refreshing and the desert which is the crème brûlée is beautifully and elegantly presented. The flavor achieves a harmonious balance between sweetness of the sugar and the richness of the custard, the texture is smooth, silky and creamy without any graininess. I love it! (we ordered another crème brûlée Togo). What makes this place stands out was making a special drink for me which is not in their drink selection. The "wow" factor is the unexpected flavor combination which makes it a unique experience. I will highly recommend this place. Street parking only but got lucky because we got a parking right in-front the entrance.

This was our first time here and my wife and I had excellent food and service! We came for a Yelp Elite Experience and while there we purchased a few other things. The food is fantastic in a filling and tasty way. The food is "stick to your guts" good and goes great with watching a game or drinking a beer (or both!). Along with my pie I also ordered a side bowl of chili cuz I knew I needed more food! My wife had the Guinness Irish Stew Pie topped with Caramelized Onions and a side of the Tomato Basil Soup. She only ate half and doggie-bagged the rest so I can enjoy the rest at home! (Double Score!). The inside is very large with a front dining area and the bar area that has the coolest animal artwork on the walls. The server told us the artwork is based on British storybook characters and the paintings were done by a local artist for them. We suggested to the waitress that they could offer copies or originals of this artwork for sale to customers. We'd buy some. Also, some of their highlighted drinks are made based on these exact characters. The rest of the bar looked like a large fun area for watching a sporting event. They had posters on the windows advertising sports watching parties and food and drink specials. The also have 2 other locations in Poulsbo and at a pier on the Seattle Waterfront. We asked them open one up North of downtown and the waitress said it's been discussed but they just expanded this Renton location so it may be a while. We really love this sort of restaurant and gathering place. It has some vibes of the ones in London we've visited but a lot brighter inside! Their menu has a lot of options besides pies that I would love to try including British style fish and chips, Bangers and Mash, etc. I will definitely return here one day.

It was our first time at this location and we were not disappointed. We ordered Scottish pie which came with gravy and mashed potatoes, a Guinness Pot Pie which was topped with caramelized onions with a side of tater tots, and beer. The portions of each were perfect - I shared the Scottish pie with my two toddlers and it was enough for the three of us, although, the tater tots were also a hit with my two kids. The tater tots were of crispiness perfection. As for the price, it is a bit steep but that's expected these days. The establishment isn't big but is spacious enough. We brought our stroller in and it fit us fine,, though scanning the area, it looks like they also had a high chair to offer. You can also view their production area through a window. Because we came in on a Saturday at around noon, the production line sat empty although it would have been cool to see them making the pies! Street parking is the only parking available but it is free. We had to park a block away but the walk wasn't bad at all since we were able to scan for other establishments (aka dessert) for after we had our lunch. This place is definitely worth a try!

First time at Premier Meat Pies in Renton--and what a find! Street parking only, but I lucked out with a spot right near the entrance. I tried the classic Scotch pie with mashed potatoes and gravy. It wasn't the crispiest crust, but the savory beef, rich gravy, and creamy mash made every bite super satisfying. The tomato basil soup was comforting and flavorful, and the cherry berry pie with fresh blueberries was the perfect sweet-tart finish. Shoutout to Susie for her warm, friendly service--she made the experience even better. Cozy, clean, and relaxed vibe. If you're in Renton and craving something hearty and homemade, this spot is a must!

All the right things for a 5 star review. Service is probably some of the best I've received from anywhere.... And that includes all the high end fancy restaurants where it seems a bit forced. The service here is just right and you can tell they enjoy being there. The food is exceptional. We got 2 meat pies based on Susie's recommendations and it worked perfectly. The caramelized onions on are delicious. Not a huge place so don't expect a ton of seating. That said, there seems to be continuous uber and DoorDash orders so you know they are popular and delicious. Thank you for everything!

Came in with my family for a Yelp elite squad event and was greeted warmly!!! Very friendly staff who got us all we needed and paid attention to the little kids we had at our table with covered water glasses for no spills. loved that extra touch. Food was delicious and a great selection of pies and an extensive cocktails and drinks list. The restaurants has a few tables and a bar section. The place was very clean and brightly lit. Can't wait to go again and try more pies on the menu! We had the Scottish pie, sausage Roll and the Mac and cheese pie! All sooo good.

I am glad that this place seems to be doing well, they have been open for a while now and I have tried them twice. This last time was great and I am glad to see the improvements from my previous time, which was meh! They seem to have perfected their food, which is exciting. This trip, I tried the Scottish pie, ordered some pea salad and our server suggested the corn dip, which is not on the menu! My co-worker ordered the sausage roll. Overall, very good. I really enjoyed each of the items and could eat the corn dip with a spoon, although their sourdough bread was warm, soft and delicious way to get the dip into my mouth. The pea salad was delicious. If you love bacon, peas, and good flavor, give it a try. If you don't like one of those, skip it! My co-worker really like the sausage roll and gave me a bite. The meat was delicious and the pastry was super flaky and delicious. Overall the place is bright and comfortable and certainly conveniently located but street parking is the only option in the area but usually easy to find, especially behind the restaurant. Our server was tentative and did a good job, it was obvious she was in training, but no complaints at all!

Honestly not sure if it was just an off night or what but this was not good. The staff was super friendly. The waitress was really nice. But it stops there. Got the Scottish pie. The sausage roll. The Mac and cheese pie and the banana chocolate. The crusts were unseasoned and dry and the meat was all very bland. Nothing good about this to be honest. Even just eating the filling was bland. I would not go back. I wish I could say better. The 2 stars is because the service!

This place was interesting. At 6:45pm on a Monday, it was completely empty. The bar looked cool and inviting so we stopped in. The cocktail she suggested was $20 but it was pretty good. They had a guy starting bingo which was awkward because it was literally just us sitting there but he had a microphone with a big speaker. We didn't try the food but the pasties sounded good. Hopefully the place was just empty because it was the day after the Super Bowl and people weren't out, but it seemed strange. The restaurant is pretty large with basically two storefronts connected. They had multiple TVs and a great collection of drink options. We ended up leaving after one drink because it just wasn't a great atmosphere to hangout for a while.

I was pleasantly surprised (and amused) to find their macarons with custom printing at the "REVIVE I-5" booth at the University Street Fair. I was amused enough to write a separate review for them. The quality of the artwork and print colors are fantastic and vibrant with the rainbow colors. Please see photo. If I was interested in custom macarons, I would most definitely order some from Macadons. The flavor in this case is a simple vanilla, which has its charms, though I typically buy other flavors. The shell doesn't have the characteristic slight crispy, which is understandable since these are not fresh from the store. The inside is a very creamy filling that squished out on the sides as I bite down. Everyone has their own texture preferences. I personally like it less creamy. I normally buy their ice cream macarons, but these are still very good. The individual boxes make them great for small gifts.

It felt so weird. All the songs were the grunge emo type, which I get is someone's personal taste, but you'd think the owners would monitor what is being played. The atmosphere is so different. The price is insane for what the product is. I got the mango sticky rice and before they would put a cute thai tea bear or something on top, with a lot of rice. Ah, 2021 was such a year when I first went here. Everyone was looking for an excuse to go outside…read morebecause of the quarantines but it was hot and sunny back then, and this place filled up my friends' IG stories back when we wanted to walk around Gene Coulon Park where this place is located not too far from. Parking around the streets touching here and the Hyatt Regency Lake Washington at Seattle's Southport is not advisable since it's very limited. There is a paid parking garage near the Hyatt you can use, or you can use the nearby Coulon Park parking lot and walk over here like I did. There's no seating inside here; instead there's tons of treats, merch, tea bags, gummies and other products on tables and shelves filling up the right-hand side of the interior. There's also a grassy background where you can take photo ops of yourself and/or your drinks. Up at the front counter to the left-hand side of the entrance are two kiosks you can use to punch in the drinks you want. The menu is also up behind the counter as well. For this visit, I got their tiramisu milk tea with boba. The tiramisu foam ayer was large enough that when I stirred the whole drink in, I could taste the tiramisu's slight coffee-like, earthy hints throughout. The milk tea itself is very strong as I could taste the bitter undertones of the tea easily after just one sip. Also love how they put their drinks in a plastic container shaped like a can! As for their boba, I actually don't mind them being much smaller than many other boba places. They're both small and very chewable, and still look very good sinking to the bottom of the drink in case a photo op is needed. Regular size boba would take up too much space inside the can anyway. Overall drink was a tad too sweet though. This is one of the few places that come to mind for me when someone asks me what boba places there are around the Renton area, as I've gotten great drinks here for every visit since 2021. I'd love to come back again and try their other drinks when I'm around the area!
