Potato rosemary Savory Focaccia Slice
Diana C.

Really tasty bakery! I got the vegan potato rosemary focaccia. It was delicious! My partner really liked his hand pie and brownie too. The drinks were also pretty good. I'd definitely come back for the focaccia. Preferably an entire loaf of it lol. The servers were very helpful and patient with us and it was a lively and bright place to sit down and eat.

The Hudson breakfast sandwich

Stopped by after birding at Seward Park on a Saturday. It was crowded but the line moved quickly and staff were friendly and helpful. I haven't been in much since the interior was closed during shutdowns but I'm excited to come by more often! Baked goods are still stellar and I love the expanded breakfast menu. Tried "The Hudson" breakfast sandwich with egg, jalapeño aioli and bacon on their fresh ciabatta. I was apprehensive about such a crusty bread for a breakfast sandwich since I feel the goal is usually soft on soft but it was delicious! The crust was flavorful while the interior bread was soft and chewy. Bacon was thick and cooked perfectly. Egg was a steamed square slice which is how I like them for breakfast sandwiches. The aioli added a nice acidic component without overwhelming the familiar comfort of egg, cheese, and bacon. In my opinion a great value for about $10. Filling and delicious!

Great for bread and other savory pastries. They sell a variety of breads like, focaccia, champagne, sesame, original baguette etc. Also they have cold and hot drinks (coffee, matcha, lemonade). There are known for there meat pies. I tryed the chorizo pie, the crust is flaky and the meat fillings is just phenomenal (so tasty). The best meat pies I've had for a while. Came on a Saturday morning around 11 and it was packed. There are a limited seating inside and there is street parking available with paid to park areas as well. Busy bakery, alot of people coming in and out. You can place a order ahead of time or walk in. There is a to go shelf for pick up orders. Busy there is a wait but line goes fast. Not a good place if you want a quiet place to drink coffee.

Loved the vegan focaccia options and super friendly staff that helped us! This bread could change the direction of your day.

Great customer service but I wasn't very impressed with bakery goods I bought here couple times in the past. Today I got this hot Alaska sandwich for the first time and it was a big disappointment. This $14 egg sandwich isn't a big difference from McDonald.. egg didn't taste like real, it was very dry. Bread didn't taste like fresh baked from bakery as well, more like cheap bread from grocery store. Not recommended..

Findlay breakfast sandwich
Jeffery S.

Stopped by to get some breakfast sandwiches here. I got the Findlay and it was delicious. The sandwich was creamy, crunchy, spicy, sweet, sour, smokey and savory. It had a good combination of flavors and textures. We also ordered some focaccia bread to eat later and the pretzel knots were also delicious. Would definitely come back to try their other sandwiches when I am in town.

Pick up window. As of June 2022 bakery is open Thurs, Fri, and Sat 10AM-3PM.

I visited for the first time June 2022 and currently they are open Thurs, Fri, and Sat from 10am-3pm for pick up (you can place your order in advance online) or walk up at the window. At 10am there was already a small line. All of the breads and pastries look amazing and fresh. I got the fruit (I think peach) danish (2 for 9.50), loaf of filone bread (6.25), and Herkimer drip coffee. Some of the best I've had! They do not offer espresso which I wish they did :). Note many of the pastries you cannot just buy one, it came in a box of 2. Similarly when ordering online some of the items you have to buy 4 or more at a time. Prices do seem a little on the higher end but worth it for a treat every once in a while! Friendly and speedy customer service. Found free street marking nearby.

Brisket Sandwich

I enjoyed all the unique flavor combinations they had to offer for the focaccia and other baked goods as well. While they were busy the service was nice and when they heard it was my first time there they gave me a free pretzel bite! What a nice gesture. I'll definitely be back.

Everything croissant
Diksha N.

This place is an accidental find and I am glad I found out!. We ordered the everything croissant, spicy tomato focaccia and the savoury cheese bread pudding. The everything croissant was just pull apart with a subtle parmesan note(yummy). The focaccia blew my mind, did not have anything apart from a herby olive oil focaccia in my life but this packed a punch and it was refreshing!. The bread pudding cups were a good medly flavor and crunchy too. The service was courteous and super quick, small line on a Saturday morning . Will definitely check this place out again for desserts too.

They serve delicious local coffee and tea as well as local pastries (from both Macrina and some baked in house), as well as breakfast sandwiches, focaccia, and also vegan soft serve made with oat milk. The soft serve has rotating weekly flavors, and I was lucky to try to orange creamsicle, which was delicious swirled with classic vanilla. I even got some sprinkles with it! For coffee, they have all the classics as well as some seasonal specials with in-house made syrups. Everything we ordered was delicious that we actually ended up getting 2 lattes while we were there. Apart from the food and drinks, they also have a plethora of local artwork for sale, paintings displayed on the walls, glasswork and ceramics at the windows, and tie dyed shirts made by the owner himself, plus more. They also sell pokemon cards and run an actual Play! Pokemon league. It runs every Saturday from noon to 4 PM and is run by the owner himself. It's a great place for both newbies and kids trying to get into pokemon and seasoned veterans alike. You even get discounted coffee during the pokemon session! The owner himself is a very personable guy and is very knowledgeable all about his products, and is always happy to chat about coffee, art, or Pokemon. There's a clean maintained bathroom in the back of the cafe and self-pour water stations to make your stay enjoyable. They have wifi and comfy seating, outlets, and even couches, which makes it perfect for coworking or just hanging out. Catch me there every Saturday with my pokemon cards!

Disclaimer: great neighbourhood place but not quite a gourmet breakfast spot if that's your aim…read more I'd visit over and over. The space is super cute and wholesome, exactly the vibe we were looking for. We all genuinely enjoyed our meals and had a great experience overall, even if it wasn't a 5star The drinks were outstanding (definitely the highlight), the staff were warm and efficient, and the food came out quickly. The biscuits are freshly baked and leaned more savoury than sweet though the flavour doesn't quite come through. French toast was a bit drier than expected, and the eggs were good , more dense than light. If you love that kind, these omelettes are for you.

Service was pretty inattentive, took a while to take our orders and seemed like they wanted us to hurry up. They also never came by to refill waters while they were chatty with other customers. Favoritism to regulars is fine, but when at the expense of other customers, I'd say the business isn't very welcoming. Omelette - was very underwhelmed. Everything was pulling water from my mouth, so I sipped water after every bite. I guess that helps me feel full, but I was shocked. The potatoes were seasoned well, with a nice saltiness, but were dry. Most biscuits are already dry, but I felt like the biscuit here was somehow drier and had nothing to pair with. Biscuits and gravy exists for a reason, so the added biscuit seems flawed to begin with. I enjoyed the random assortment of fruits, but nothing special. The omelette itself was okay, but followed the same common theme of being more dry than expected.

I stopped in here to work for a few hours and had a great experience…read more I ordered a London Fog and requested that they add their seasonal lavender pear syrup. They let me know that the London fog comes as a concentrate and offered to use slightly less concentrate so that it wouldn't be too sweet with the additional syrup. I was a little skeptical of the fact that they make it from a concentrate because. I feel like a London fog is hard to mess up if you know how to brew tea, but I decided to try it anyway, and I was pleasantly surprised. While it didn't have a strong earl grey flavor, the drink was delicious and still tasted like a London fog and the lavender pear syrup was lovely. It has plenty of seating and is a great place to work from with a decent amount of outlets. Super friendly staff and I loved the dine in mug.

The Starbucks was always so packed. As far as the coffee and food, though, it's extremely overpriced and just OK. I got an Americano and a burrito. Came up to about $17, I think. I do not like their coffee at all. Very bitter and leaves a bad taste in your mouth. The burrito was teeny, tiny and way too expensive. I would not go out of my way to come here unless there was no other option, honestly. Which in this area there kinda isn't anymore, unfortunately. some people really like this type of coffee, and if you do then, I'm sure it's great. But there's not enough sugar in the world to make it taste good to me.

I ended up coming back and getting it again but with extra Matcha foam for additional Matcha flavor. Absolutely loved this drink. I also got a Matcha latte with black sesame cold foam. I've had a black sesame Matcha from somewhere else before, and the sesame flavor was very light, so that was what I was expecting, but was met with a very strong sesame flavor.
