My workplace brought in a smorgasbord of bagels from this location to partake in, and coworkers actually really love this place too so I was looking forward to try some of the stuff here! I'm actually not a bagel guy, nor do I ever think about them when it comes to grabbing a quick bite somewhere but this was a perfect opportunity to try it again. There was an assortment of bagels, and I got half of an everything bagel and - the one that several of my coworkers highly recommended - the rosemary bagel. Both go well with cream cheese. - The everything bagel was pretty standard; I could taste the garlic and sesame seeds throughout. Garlic was quite powerful on this one though, and I almost thought of garlic bread until I remembered bagels are harder to chew on. - My favorite was the rosemary bagel, just like my coworkers. I could taste the herbs clearly on this one; it was aromatic yet a little bitter. It was balanced with the saltiness already present on the bagel. Since I didn't go to their physical location - which looks like quite a walk from Georgetown - I have yet to see the inside of this place. I popped in this weekend (on the recommendation of a FB group) since I was going to be in the neighborhood. Bring your parallel parking skills! I just ordered a half dozen of bagels this time but would like to sit a bit next time. Cute place in the neighborhood. Everything Bagel was kind of on the darker side and I was worried it might be whole wheat or something.... Just baked a bit darker than my preference. Bloom Bistro has completely won me over. The first time I went, I honestly thought it was going to be just another average bagel spot. It was good, but I didn't think much beyond that. Now on my fourth visit, I can confidently say I've truly come to love their bagels and the whole experience of being there. This place has a charming feel to it. It's warm, welcoming, and run by genuinely great people. You can feel that care in the food. The bagels are fresh, well crafted, and have that perfect balance of chew and texture that makes you want to keep coming back. You really can't go wrong with any kind. The onion garlic with jalapeño smear is outstanding and packed with flavor. The Italian Stallion is so good it's hard not to order it every time. Everything feels thoughtfully put together and consistently delicious. What started as a casual stop has turned into a regular favorite. Still the best! Marissa is amazing and makes the world's best bagels. Been coming since they opened and my favorite is still the rosemary sea salt bagel. I also love their rosemary sea salt focaccia bread! My favorite smears are kimchi and roasted garlic. You really can't go wrong and I love that I can now grab some basic groceries when I'm here as well! Really filling a Georgetown need! I love how cute and joyful the space is as well. I got the bacon, egg, and cheese with tomato added on the rosemary sea salt bagel. 10/10 Staff was super friendly and answered all my questions about the options without the slightest hint of frustration. It's a nice older building, clean inside, and plenty of seating if you aren't getting it to go. I enjoyed the music selection playing while I ate too. Have been wanting to stop by for awhile and finally made it on Father's Day to pick breakfast and coffee for dad. Also grabbed a half dozen. Cheerful space that is in Deep Sea Sugar and Salts previous location. Chairs outside and tables inside. I got our order to go. Ordered a breakfast sandwich for dad with sausage on an everything. I went with a toasted bagel asked the staff taking my order which was their favorite of the spreads and they said either the caramelized onion or lemon thyme shmear. I was already leaning towards the lemon thyme so I asked which bagel they thought would pair well with it and they suggested the poppyseed. Perfect combo!! Thoroughly enjoyed it and would highly recommend that shmear. Dad ate his breakfast sandwich all up so must have been delicious. Picked up an iced latte for dad and an espresso tonic for myself. Always appreciate seeing an espresso tonic on a menu so refreshing when it's warm out. Excited to try the rosemary sea-salt bagel included in my half dozen. read more

Cute small neighborhood café with great bagels and amazing vibes. I came on a drizzly Thursday morning, so it was pretty quiet. There is limited seating, and I can imagine it fills up quickly during busier hours. They offer a nice variety of beverages, both non-alcoholic and alcoholic, along with small snacks, condiments, and knickknacks. I was a little disappointed that they do not offer any sweet bagels, though I understand the demand may not be as high. My bagel was a bit chewier than I prefer, but texture is subjective. I also wish they had asked whether I wanted it toasted, since I usually prefer my cream cheese bagels untoasted. Bloom Bistro is in the old Deep Sea Sugar & Salt location in georgetown! I love a sausage egg and cheese bagel sandwich so decided to hop down here to give theirs a try. It was pretty good! I still like bagel oasis' better, but this is a good option for those in south Seattle. I also got their veggie cream cheese to have with some bagels I had at home, and it was great! I think I'd probably go for a bagel w/ cream cheese in the future over the sandwich. I also want to try their lunch sandwiches which are also on bagels! I've been searching for a good east coast bagel in Seattle and I think I may have finally found something close. The bagels have the perfect amount of chew to it, but if ordering the sandwiches in store, best to ask them to toast it more or else it's tooo chewy to eat easily. A little neighborhood cafe, spacious interior, friendly staff and delicious food. Popped in for a quick bite- hard to choose too since everything sounded good. I opted for the garlic onion bagel with honey siracha smear and added slice tomatoes (they have the goooood tomatoes). Good Bagels & Schmear, But Lox Were Unimpressive Wife & I tried the famous Rosemary & Sea Salt (with butter), as well a Garlic Onion (with caramelized onion schmear) & an Everything (with garden vegetable schmear). The Rosemary & Sea Salt was tasty but a but nuanced. I would've preferred it to have a bolder flavor. The Garlic Onion was good as was the schmear it paired with, and the Everything was OK with its schmear. Here's my gripe. We both asked for open-faced bagels. That seemed to cause confusion, consternation, and extended kitchen conversations about whether such a request was feasible. (Perhaps they were also discussing the morality & political correctness of what I asked for?) After deliberations concluded between the cashier & owner, my request was approved, but what they delivered didn't match expectations. In my lifetime, I've probably been to at least 50 different bagel shops throughout the United States & Europe. When ordering an open-faced bagel with schmear & lox, I have ALWAYS received 2 bagel halves, interior-side up, both schmeared, & BOTH adorned with lox. Not at Bloom Bistro though. One side was schmeared & came with lox, the other side just got schmear & no lox!! Annoyingly, the lox they provided looked nothing like the pink, meaty, deli slices I'm accustomed to from other bagel shops. Instead, they served a few thin, anemic-looking strips of lox that left me very unsatisfied. A disappointing experience, given how much buzz they've been getting. (Will gladly revise my rating upwards if they change their policies/procedures on how to properly do an open-face bagel request.) read more

Hands down one of my favorite bagels in the area. The rosemary specifically is a delicious, savory bagel worth trying. The bagels here are a little more like a soft bready texture, but if you're in the mood for that kind of bagel you won't find a betterspot. The staff is friendly and service is pretty quick, especially considering that they often are working though a decent sized line. It's a total hipster vipe, with most of the shop dedicated to selling local artisan food products. If you're anywhere near here, I recommend making a detour to check it out. read more

first deep sea sugar and now bloom! in the blink of an eye people will notice a change but it brings something new to the neighborhood! this unassuming green two storey building seems to make any business that occupies it a WINNER! that's not to say it's all about the structure! the respective owners (past and present) clearly put forth huge effort and investment in their creativity, quality ingredients and hiring; you may not find cake at this cross street anymore (that's now a couple blocks further east on airport way) but the bagels and service six feet inside the door are top notch! on georgetown carnival morning i stopped in and managed to place my order just ahead of a rush. three plain bagels to go as well as their special sandwich of the day which i asked to include one substitution: i got zero kick back on swapping the bacon bits for portabellos and it was so beautiful when i went to eat it with the sprouts, ricotta and roasted beets!! i'm excited to try the other bagel flavors i purchased and to see how they hold up for a day or two wrapped in their paper bag. the revamped interior has 3-4 small tables and a shelf with additional items for sale including bagged coffee beans. there's a coffee menu and a very welcoming vibe. i can only wonder how long it'll be before lines will be back in front of the shopfront. my car was used to driving here for slices of layer cake and now it's not at all going to be disappointed to head in the same direction for bagels and beverages on the weekends! read more

This bagel is truth. It is undoubtedly the best bagel and bagel sandwich I've had in Seattle, bar none (this was even recently affirmed by the Stranger!). It is a delicious treat for me and my family -- perfect texture: crunchy outside, soft chewy inside, just a little hint of salt, I feel like I'm back in Skokie, IL. Their pantry also has very cool exotic pickles and ingredients, as well as artisanal pasta. But let's be clear -- super high end quality, but way, way cheaper than Lox Smith (no disrespect, I am a fan too) -- and you will not have to wait an hour in line like over at the Flour Box. That said, get there earlier in the day because the bagels are made fresh and they run out. Ambiance is a chill, neighborhood bakery/cafe/bodega that everyone in the historic section of Georgetown visits. I asked if they had ketchup for my breakfast Sammy, and they didn't have ketchup.
