I just got here and on yelp. It says they are open at 6 AM but the door says they are not open till 7 AM. Can someone please correct this? I drove all the way over here and then had to find parking. I absolutely love this place but very inconvenient driving all the way over here to find it closed

    Dry chicken

Lesson Learned - I WILL NEVER BUY DELI PREPARED FOOD AT THIS STORE AGAIN. I ordered a chicken sandwich today at the Mercer St store. The deli clerk prepared it and handed it to me. I brought it home to have lunch. The sandwich was inedible. It was so dry and tough that a steak knife couldn't cut it. I would say I couldn't chew it but I literally couldn't tear a bit off to chew to even try it to eat it. That is bad enough but when I called the store "Darren" who answered the phone couldn't be bothered and transferred me to the deli without telling me he was transferring me or who to. The deli person was equally non-phased. They just said, bring your receipt and we will refund your money. I suggested to them that they may want to go check their chicken supply so other customers didn't have the same experience. Even with the price of Met Market, this isn't about the price. It is about the quality and service. Trust me, Popeye's or McDonald's would be a better alternative for a chicken sandwich. Drea - per the receipt you are the "Uptown Store Director". Your Mercer St store could use some "directing".

I enjoy the food and service provided by staff , as well as their benevolently provided rational to the local food bank at IMMANUEL LUTHERAN CHURCH where I reside and work at as a member , client, and volunteer (graduate of MTC program).

This review is for the self serve poke bar and "the cookie". I was eager to try the poke bar after seeing some videos online. The poke was fresh and delicious but on the pricier side. I enjoyed being able to choose my portion size and mix and match the poke options. I would recommend skipping on the rice, it was not worth it- very weird stale like consistency and since you are paying by weight, I'd go with just poke and seaweed salad next time. "The cookie" is simply wonderful and I recommend visiting the met market just for this cookie! I've brought out of town visitors and they've all agreed that it's the best cookie ever.

The cookie and vanilla ice cream

I came to this place when I was on vacation in Seattle. The cookie is THE cookie for a reason. Hands down, it is the best cookie I have ever had. I am a cookie connoisseur too. It was warm, perfectly sweet, gooey inside, and the walnuts added a great touch! We paired it with vanilla ice cream and wow, it was heavenly. I also tried the broccoli cheddar soup and the broccolini; both very yummy! Overall the market was very cool and offered good food and an impressive selection of items. This place makes me wish I lived in Seattle!

HORRIBLE!!! Out of all the Met Market locations: THIS, by far is the worse one. *Hot Bar/ food was Old and dry. I was told "The Person in charge of this, left!! *They were out of Fried Chicken. (So you can't order it). *I got: a small mashed potato (taste like eating cold clay). A Small soup (which I had to scrape from the bottom of the pot), a small salad, and some meatballs (which were barely Warm). *they were Out of bread (which also looked very old). To say I was Extremely disappointed, would be an Understatement. I'll never come back here again.

Yes, they had it and I acquired it today. I bought myself a $300 bottle of Louis Roederer Cristal Champagne or as Quentin would say " FU@KING CRISTAL " for when that moment is special. The Metropolitan Market has an amazing selection of spirits to choose from along with beer for those troglodyte's who drink it. Now if your needing some flesh well the butcher cuts of some of the finest meats for your carnivore desires. However my two favorite items are the PRIME RIB SANDWICH & The COOKIE! The cookie is a large chocolate chip cookie served hot most of the time yet always chewy and delicious. It's time to pop cork on my CRISTAL after I chill it for 24 hours. Ladies make sure your men treat you to a bottle!

I really enjoyed my visit to the Metropolitan Market - this place seemed like a combination of a Whole Foods and Wegman's, offering extremely fresh produce and all your other grocery needs. Everything was well-organized and exceeds the expectations of anyone who has OCD! We stopped by here to pick up some items for dinner - the salmon was super fresh and perfect, and the staff at the butcher counter was super friendly and helpful! I do wish that they had a larger selection of bagels and breads, though! Lines moved along quickly, considering how many patrons there were. Free parking is available at the rooftop garage around the corner. +fresh produce +friendly staff +efficient service +parking available at the rooftop garage around the corner

Seriously the best chocolate chip cookie i've ever had. You NEED to try this & warm it up for 30 seconds in the microwave. This cookie with some milk is truly life changing!

Also wish I didn't discover it my last night in town because I would have stopped in almost everyday. Huge selection - from health & beauty, dishes, alcohol, prepared food, and just about everything you can imagine from the food side (pantry and fresh). Large produce selection with a lot of items you can't easily find in an "everyday American" grocery store. I also loved they carried salad mixes. The meat and seafood area had great selection and was so clean and fresh! The pantry type items also had an incredible selection. I wish I could have stocked up on so many things. For a quick lunch or dinner, stop by and try some of their prepared food items - great selection and I felt reasonable prices. I loved browsing all the aisles and was so inspired to want to make a delicious meal. Since I was traveling, I could only pick up a few items! Hope when I return to leave some extra room in my suitcase. Great store!

Since we don't have Trader Joe's in Hawaii, I like to bring snacks home, but I focused this time on those canvas bags and even got some mini canvas bags and the olive green insulated totes!
