I stopped by today and got some protein (chicken thighs, meatballs) and grilled veggies for $13. Not dirt cheap, but a good deal considering the location. This PCC is not really one you would visit to shop for groceries. It is geared more for office workers as it is only open on weekdays. The selection is a bit better than your standard convenience store. Prices do not seem as jacked up as shopping at a mini mart. With Amazon Go closing, I would expect this store to gain some foot traffic from those customers looking for reasonably priced grab and go breakfast and lunch items. Honestly, I would opt for the Whole Foods in South Lake Union for similar items because the product selection is much larger. But if I am in downtown Seattle and looking for a quick bite or drink while commuting to or from work, I would consider stopping by this PCC. read more

I stopped into PCC Corner Market while staying nearby for work. The market is well lit and clean with a decent variety of higher quality products. They have a decent beer and wine selection with local options as well which I appreciate. They do have a salad and prepared items bar, which looked tasty but I didn't try it. I was there the afternoon/evening before Thanksgiving and it seemed like they were not restocking items as they were sold. I get it. The prices seemed a bit high to me, granted I don't know the Seattle market well. The employees were pleasant. Checkout is quick and cashless. I'll be back if I'm in the area. read more

We popped into PCC while visiting downtown Seattle. It's a cute store. Lots of organic foods, specific diet foods, bakery, deli, liquor, etc. It's a nice market and fantastic that they have it downtown. I picked up several snacks for my overnight trip and great for my vegetarian diet. It would be lovely to live in this area and be able to shop here regularly. PCC is back! I'm an so happy! The new layout is different than the old one. It is very focused on grab and go type items. There is a full hot bar, soup bar, and salad bar. They also have a sushi station and grab and go hot meals and sandwiches. The grocery items are limited to the core staples, such as eggs, cheese, milk, etc. Overall, it is a great location and the concept works well! Highly recommend! read more

Despite the hours being updated just "2 weeks ago" This store is CLOSED on the weekends. Yelp says it's open 6am-9pm everyday. There is a giant sign that says it's only open 7am-7pm M-F. I love PCC Markets, and this one is a great addition to the downtown core. While it's not as large as Wholefoods, it has a great selection in all of the standard natural foods departments that one expects. I was pleasantly surprised to find an ample salad bar, consisting of three stations and one hot bar at the deli which is self serve as well, all with a great variety of meats and vegan proteins in the dishes. There is a quick self check out area in addition to cashier lanes. Parking is in an underground garage and they validate your parking, so it's free! This PCC will be a great grocery store and lunch destination when downtown. read more

Was happy to see this store in the neighborhood. I agree that prices are higher than Whole Foods or Trader Joes. Here you pay for convenience. I live 2 blocks away and I dont need to drive, I can just walk and get organic produce. Trader Joes or Whole Foods are very far from me. Also prices for real estate higher than average, rent at Raineer tower is around 5-7k at the lowest so I am not surprised, store also have to pay the rent. I also buy selectively, and I cant say that this place will be my place to go for groceries every week but many people would. Is it expensive? Yes! But if quality is good? Yes! Is staff is friendly? yes! So people who are complaining that cant get water in bulk, please buy yourself a water filter BRITA and stop waste plastic by buying bottled water. But I strongly agree with other person that instead of throwing away food they should be reducing price on it at the end of the day! Thats very common practice in europe and we should consider here too. Overall I had great experience, very friendly associates, lines move quickly. Easy to pick fresh produce. This PCC is located in the heart of downtown Seattle, blocks away from the downtown mall. Although with the amounts of homeless peoole surrounding the building, their security does a great job at keeping them out of the store. Hence, why on my visits I rarely see any. I have been to the PCC in Burien and Issquah. In comparison, this one is smaller and a bit cramped. Same products, just a cramped store. read more

Yay! Downtown has a grocery store again! The store is very nice and located on 4th Ave. the staff are friendly and very helpful. The deli food is fresh and taste great with a variety of hot and cold options to choose from. The shelves are well stocked and it was easy to navigate the store. read more

Opening day and already incredibly busy. Arrived at 8:30 am to what felt like 100's of people. The lines moved quickly, and people were generally respectful. This is a welcomed addition to our community, and I'm excited to be a regular visitor. One thing I wish would improve though...bring over the balsamic glazed chicken to this location...it really is that good. read more

I stumbled upon this newish location and this is my new favorite place to lunch shop. Downtown Seattle of late has taken a dive with many eateries closing and less places to shop. I was so happy to see this PCC open to offer a huge selection of foods you don't see downtown anymore. Upon entry the store is clean and brightly lit with tons of produce and I swear they had five different varieties of oranges with descriptions of the flavor like they do with wines..that was cool. The hot foods area is my favorite with sandwich selections ranging from vegetarian to meat offerings..the turkey bacon avocado is my fave. I also love the soups as well which are self service. The cookies in the bin range from standard chocolate chip to gluten free offerings. The prices are reasonable and am so glad they have a presence in Seattle. The employees are also very friendly and helpful. Self check out is a breeze. Will definitely be back! read more

I'm so excited that PCC is downtown! yes, their prices are on the higher side. but I'm thinking that most people shop PCC the way we do... for targeted items. This isn't Grocery Outlet. You know what you're getting into. from what we can tell, the downtown location has everything you all know and love from the other, larger stores. the freshly prepared food section is great. I still don't know who "Steph" is, but she makes a mighty fine tofu! the layout of the store is a bit weird, but that's due to the building it's located in. Downtown issues. I've never seen the store crowded, which makes me a bit nervous as a downtown dweller who really wants to see this store succeed! cleanliness, etc., I see no difference between this location and other PCC locations. it's still new, but it has a nicer feel to it as compared to, say, the Westlake Whole Foods as compared to other WFs in outlying neighborhoods. I love the self checkout. the area where you put your items on after scanning is temperamental... if you have your own bags, it yelps (no pun intended) at you. we've learned to just put all the items in the area without bagging, and after checkout put them in your bag (this is not unique to downtown... Columbia City has the same issue). but a huge plus of the self checkout is if you get beer and wine, the checkout process isn't stalled when you scan the item in question until an employee can check your id. rather, you can keep checking out, and the id check isn't required until you pay. why doesn't Whole Foods have this?!? Ultimately, this is a PCC that happens to be downtown. all the PCC-unique items you can find elsewhere are here. the store is smaller, but I haven't seen anything in another store that I couldn't buy here. If you like PCC, and live near downtown, this is a no brainer. It's so great to see a store support downtown in trying times (I had my money on that the store wouldn't open, and am so pleased I was wrong). if I had to complain about anything it would be, why didn't you come to Belltown instead?!? read more

On my recent shopping trip to this downtown location I had a very positive experience with the cashier who rang me up. He was very cheerful and expedient. I had parked in the garage below and unbeknownst to me had left my cell phone at the cashier stand. The cashier ran downstairs and was able to catch me before I drove out of the garage. So grateful to this cashier for his observance and quickness to get my phone back to me! Much appreciated!! read more

I come here for lunch everyday & the security guard was making me feel like I'm stealing something lol he kept following me around. I went to check out at self check out and a worker came to redo my items because of the weight but I placed it in the scanner correctly. He was like "no let me redo it" & grabbed my food & re-did it. The store is pretty nice, and i'm sure the well-off people of downtown are stoked to have it, but for the low income residents of downtown, most of the produce is crazy expensive, and watching the employees throw 4 full sized pizzas in the trash at the end of the day instead of reducing the prices to like $1 a slice is annoying at best. I'm not saying they shouldn't have things like $14 pints of icecream, but it makes more sense to be more accessible to lower income shoppers instead of throwing away food. Store looks neat and beautiful but the prices are ridiculous. We were shocked how expensive everything was. Hard to justify how much they charge even if they are local sourcing. We had a basketful of items but abandoned our cart and walked out of the store when we decided that we would not pay their ridiculous prices. Pros: - employees get a living wage - employees are friendly - high quality produce and foodstuffs - located in an area that's somewhat of a food desert, so this is much welcomed - ready to eat cold stuff tastes the same as what you'd get at other PCC locations, so there's consistency - it's not Whole Foods, owned and operated by Evil Corp Not Cons to me, but can be viewed as cons: - since it is high quality stuff and employees get a living wage, things are pricier - there's not a lotta options for 1 thing. E.g 1 brand for the sponges - the hot foods look a lil sad. Prolly cause there's not a lotta traffic coming in for the hot food, so the turn over is not as high and the food starts to look a lil dry - pizza by the slice doesn't taste as good as the Columbia City location. I had been a member of PCC since 1980 but I quit in January of 2020. That's when the Puget Culinary Cartel decided to get rid of the monthly 5% and 10% member discounts and replace them with a 2% rebate mailed the year after it was earned. The management did not put this to a vote or consult the members. As a low-income senior, this would have increased my annual grocery bill at PCC by hundreds of dollars. PCC effectively threw long-time members under the bus in favor of high-earning tech workers who don't even look at the prices. In 2019, PCC hired a former Kroger executive, Suzi Monfort, as CEO. She has no experience working for cooperatives and is working to wipe out every cooperative aspect of the company. Recently, she wrote a whiny letter to Seattle's mayor, claiming that PCC should be exempt from providing COVID hazard pay to their employees. She has hired a union-busting company to push back against employee activism. She called the cops on members gathering signatures on PCC property - to nominate two employees for the board. The board proposed their own hand-picked employees to join the board, but the members chose the employee activists instead. The Cartel been on steroids in the last few years, opening stores all over Puget Sound but not hiring enough employees to staff the stores. PCC employees are on the edge of a strike this month because of low pay, poor benefits and bad treatment by management. I will continue to boycott PCC and will support the employees in any way I can. read more

Although this isn't a grocery store, this location is the main office for PCC Markets. Not only that, they also have cooking classes at this location in a wonderfully modern kitchen! PCC Cooks! is the brochure and if you ever get the chance, take a class and learn to do something a little bit different. Of course, the instructors make samples for everyone to try and the fees are reasonable so there are no good excuses for not trying to extend your knowledge base. Maybe they're natural foods but they display an unnatural level of honesty I belonged to PCC while I lived in the Bothell, WA area and have recently taken a job re-location to the Atlanta, GA area. I didn't patronize them often because frankly, found Whole Foods to have better selections, better quality of foods, and better prices. Believing what they say in their membership information that if at any time you ask, your membership fee will be refunded I requested my refund early in June, when I moved out of the area. Nothing happened. I phoned again in July and was told the "application for refund" must have been "lost in the mail" and was promised a refund. It's now mid-August and I have still not received a promised refund. If this kind of blatant dishonesty is so pervasive in their business dealings, perhaps it extends to any claims they make about the foods they carry. I may no longer live in the Seattle area, but do still have friends and acquaintances there. I have wasted no time in sharing my experience with them. Come clean PCC...do what you promise in your materials to do. Refund my money!!!! read more
