My daily go-to for quick eats. That will likely change after this mornings performance...It unfortunately took me a couple bites before I noticed something was off. I'll make sure to stick to the salad bar

A very "Laura" PCC run! Haha.

We popped into PCC while visiting downtown Seattle. It's a cute store. Lots of organic foods, specific diet foods, bakery, deli, liquor, etc. It's a nice market and fantastic that they have it downtown. I picked up several snacks for my overnight trip and great for my vegetarian diet. It would be lovely to live in this area and be able to shop here regularly. I docked a star because it is a little pricey. The staff is ultra friendly.

    PCC is back open!

PCC is back! I'm an so happy! The new layout is different than the old one. It is very focused on grab and go type items. There is a full hot bar, soup bar, and salad bar. They also have a sushi station and grab and go hot meals and sandwiches. The grocery items are limited to the core staples, such as eggs, cheese, milk, etc. Overall, it is a great location and the concept works well! Highly recommend!

Smaller downtown Natural Foods marker. Lovely

I love PCC Markets, and this one is a great addition to the downtown core. While it's not as large as Wholefoods, it has a great selection in all of the standard natural foods departments that one expects. I was pleasantly surprised to find an ample salad bar, consisting of three stations and one hot bar at the deli which is self serve as well, all with a great variety of meats and vegan proteins in the dishes. There is a quick self check out area in addition to cashier lanes. Parking is in an underground garage and they validate your parking, so it's free! This PCC will be a great grocery store and lunch destination when downtown.

Was happy to see this store in the neighborhood. I agree that prices are higher than Whole Foods or Trader Joes. Here you pay for convenience. I live 2 blocks away and I dont need to drive, I can just walk and get organic produce. Trader Joes or Whole Foods are very far from me. Also prices for real estate higher than average, rent at Raineer tower is around 5-7k at the lowest so I am not surprised, store also have to pay the rent. I also buy selectively, and I cant say that this place will be my place to go for groceries every week but many people would. Is it expensive? Yes! But if quality is good? Yes! Is staff is friendly? yes! So people who are complaining that cant get water in bulk, please buy yourself a water filter BRITA and stop waste plastic by buying bottled water. But I strongly agree with other person that instead of throwing away food they should be reducing price on it at the end of the day! Thats very common practice in europe and we should consider here too. Overall I had great experience, very friendly associates, lines move quickly. Easy to pick fresh produce. Very welcoming store layout, bright and organized.

Yay! Downtown has a grocery store again! The store is very nice and located on 4th Ave. the staff are friendly and very helpful. The deli food is fresh and taste great with a variety of hot and cold options to choose from. The shelves are well stocked and it was easy to navigate the store.

    Yummy selection

But unfortunately, today's visit will be my last. I came into the store with a general idea of what I wanted to purchase. There were 3 employees working and only one other customer in store. I didn't receive a greeting, any acknowledgment, or even a smile - nothing. I felt like my presence was a nuisance. Their selection of products is vast and impressive (+1 star), but overwhelming if you don't know exactly what you're looking for. I would be more knowledgeable of what to buy if staff would be helpful and open to questions. I walked up to someone stocking a shelf with products in my hands, said "excuse me?" to ask for help, and the person just scooted away without looking at me. Yeah, no. After walking a lap around the store trying to get anyone's attention, I waited near the register with products hoping they would at least try to cash me out. Nothing again. I waited 3-5 minutes without anyone coming to help or even a "I'll be right with you" although there were workers on the floor. I just put my products away and left. I can't support an establishment that prides itself on high vibes and wellness but makes their customers feel like sh!t. Today's experience has been consistent with the past 2-3 other times I've been in and I won't be returning.

The only real "downside" (though it doesn't bother me personally) is that it's very much a Third Avenue corner store. There's usually no shortage of street people and sketchy characters in and around the store. Nothing harmful or dangerous at all, but it's slightly outside the natural comfort zone of middle class white folks who are unaccustomed to city life and socioeconomic diversity.
